Team Natsu And (Y/n) (Fairy Tail) {Haunted Guild}

Yes, I know I told myself years before that I would never make seasonal one shots but that went out the window on valentines day and white day. Only this time not every country celebrates it but I figured "if you're on the internet you know what Halloween is or you've watched an American show that talks about it lol-"

Now I'm an American (not surprising at all even though I've been trying to hide it, but, I mean, we spell things way to differently that it was obvious) so I will be talking about things that we do here. That and I've never been to a haunted house before so-

Enough of me talking, let's just get on with this Halloween themed one shot.

Note: Team Natsu is: Happy, Lucy, Wendy, Carla, Erza, Gray and Natsu. The reader is also apart of the team but more like a part time team member.

"All alright you idiots!" Master Makarov shouts from the second guild floor, "we're in big trouble this month and we need money fast! Who in here gots a bright idea that'll make us rich by the end of next week!"

"We could go on more jobs!" A random guild member suggested.

He scoffs, "we're already accepted every job we've got. Next!"

"Sell more figures!"

He brushes that one off too, "next!"

"Have a fight tournament with another guild and charge people to watch!" Natsu shouted.

"Eh. Let's hear some other ideas. Next!"

Natsu looks bummed out as Gray laughs at him. A few more bad ideas are shouted out and rejected. "We should do a haunted house. Be one with the season or whatever." (Y/n) mutter, Wendy's eyes began to sparkle.

"That's a great idea!" She exclaims with her child like wonder. "You should say that."

"Nah, I'm good. Someone else can say it."

The team looked at each other thinking 'well who wants to take the create for it...' but Happy shouts before they could make a decision.

"Haunted guild!" He shouts as loud as he can.

"There we go!" Master Makarov praises, "our winning idea!" Some other members joined in on praising him. And while Happy was soaking it all in, Team Natsu looks at him in shame. Not that he cared one bit.

"That damn exceed." (Y/n) grumbles.

"Should've listened to Wendy." Gray says with a smirk.

"Shut up you stri-"

"Not with the kids around." Erza hits (Y/n) on the head with her armor on, "not with the kids around."

"I heard you the first time-"

"Since the idea is Happy's-" Master Makarov pulled all the members attention back to him, "his team will be the one to put it all together. I expect every one of you to help them. You have until the thirty-first, it must be done by then. Good luck!"

Team Natsu looks over at Happy, "now you've done it." Says Carla, "we have a lot of jobs to finish you know."

"I didn't know that he would make us do everything!" Happy defends himself and looks over at Lucy for some sympathy.

She sighs, "I mean he is right. But we can take this opportunity to spread 'Team Natsu' across the city!"

"Everyone already knows our name." Gray replies in a deadpan voice, "but I guess you have a point."

Natsu finally stops sulking, "and with (Y/n)'s help- hey!" He shouts as he notices the already mentioned (Y/n) trying to escape. "Get back here!" He drags his team member back to the circle they have all formed, "you're apart of the team!"

"Barley! I'm more a part time team member!"

"Well now you've been upgraded to full time!" He replies and doesn't let go as he continues. "(Y/n) and Lucy can finish up the jobs we have on going. Since a certain team member doesn't want to help out."

"I never said I wouldn't help out! I just can help with everything. I got bills to pay you know."

The team ignores the case and the two singled out leave the guild. "At least the jobs won't take too long."

"How many do we have?" Lucy asks, shuffles threw the flyers describing what each job is.

"About five but we can get them all done today."

"Five?!" Lucy exclaims, "that'll take forever."

"Not if we stop complaining about it. Let's divide up the work that we can take on solo first then see what's left." (Y/n) suggest, "you can shop for an old lady right?"

"Yeah." She replies, "that'll take at most an hour." She looks at the still rising sun, "it's a little past ten..."

(Y/n) hands her another flyer, "the rest are outside the city so I better take them. Only one requires fighting but it'll be a breeze for me. Good luck!" With that Lucy is left in the streets of Magnolia.

----

Happy had finally found (Y/n) who was standing on some type of strange beast. "(Y/n)!" He called out, "what happen!?"

"Oh hey Happy."

"Don't answer so casually!?"

Brushing off his concern, "some wizard accidentally created this so I had to take care of it. But that's my last job. Has Lucy made it back yet."

He nods, "a little while ago that's why I came looking for you. We were starting to get worried."

(Y/n) laughs, "you should never have to worry about me. Do we need to grab anything before heading back to the guild?"

Happy holds out a list of items, "Erza said your magic should come in handy for this very task."

The list was a bunch of props from various stores, "she's really pushing my whole teleportation thing to the limit, huh."

"We'll have to go back to the guild for some of the larger objects. How about the pumpkins first?" He suggests.

"Those decay fast though..."

"Not if we don't carve them first. Wendy wants to put a few in each window so that the people seem them when they are approaching the guild." Happy replies.

"Already then we can do that. Hold on tight."

He grabs (Y/n)'s shoulders, "teleport!"

With the blink of an eye they are in the city square. "So where do we find ourself some pumpkins around here..."

Happy flies around and points at a shop. "Good afternoon!" The vendor greeted, "it's good to see a Fairy Tail member out and about."

"Good afternoon," (Y/n) replies with a smile, looking down at the list and then looks at the pumpkins he had for sale. The list called for ten pumpkins, on for each major window. "Excuse me,"  the shop keeper looks over. "Do you mind if I pay for ten pumpkins but come back for five of them?"

"Sure I'll set which ever you pick out aside for you." He replies as (Y/n) hands him over the money.

Carrying as many pumpkins as the human and exceed could carry, they arrive back at the guild thanks to (Y/n)'s magic. "Hey!" Natsu shouts as they entered. "Don't kick the door down!" He regretted his words when he saw them. Either of them could open it as their hands were full.

"There's five left at the store. And where do I get everything else?" (Y/n) sighs exhaustedly.

"Natsu can go with you." Erza says, holding two large wooden tables in her hands. "He knows where everything is."

"That'll be great." Natsu groans as Happy lands on his shoulder.

An idea popped into Lucy's head before they set back out into town. She runs behind the bar and finds a crate where alcohol would be delivered in. She hands it Natsu, "this'll make it easier carry everything."

"Thanks Lucy." He smiles and touches (Y/n) shoulder.

Now back at the pumpkin shop, they collected the remaining items before checking the list again. "Some paper lanterns, fake blood..." Natsu reads off.

The group spends the rest of the day running all over town. They finally got everything and walked back to the guild.

"Why did you magic have to ware out!?" Natsu shouted into the night sky, carrying the last create of items.

"I told you we should have carried larger loads." (Y/n) sighs, not having the strength to argue. Happy had fell asleep at the guild about an hour ago along with everyone else who was working on the project. "They better not ask me to do nothing before noon."

"Heard that." He comments, "at least we won't have to do this again." The rest of the way back to the guild was silent. Either of them had the energy to make conversation. They sat their crates, picked a spot at the bar, and fell asleep the moment their heads it the counter.

----

After a few more days of preparation; Team Natsu along with extra helpers managed to pull of the 'haunted guild' a day before the deadline. Master Makarov was already making the news public a week before.

Opening night was surely a sight to see. The guild had a very eerie feeling surrounding it. Each window had a hand carved jack-o-lantern in it, a small candle lit inside. The flame was made by Natsu, if turned over it will burn out before the guild was set on fire.

One pair of windows was slightly open, a draft of window made the worn out curtains fly into the open. While few trees were on the property, all of them have lost their leaves. Giving it the appearance that it was a dead tree. A gravestone here and there with moss covering some parts of it was the finishing touch for the outside.

This wasn't to scare people shitless, just a fun activity for small children. Or for younger teens to get hyped up about; how they "aren't scared bro" but in reality they are dying on the inside. Whatever the reason was, many town residents stopped by.

"Alright Wendy." Natsu said with a devilish grin at the poor child, she had been screaming bloody murder all night.

She quickly chugs a bottle of water and sighs. Breathing in all the air she could, she screams as if an axe murder was chasing after her. The guests entering jumped back a bit; even after hearing it from the previous group it set a spooky feeling in the air.

The two guild members were on the second floor overlooking the first, Natsu lit all the candles that are placed throughout the large room. Gray was sitting in an ice statue playing dead while Erza was standing still like a knight collectable you would see in the movies. She wore a full suit of armer and had a sliver sword in her hands, standing at attention with her blade in front of her.

Lucy had summoned Loke to help the team out for the night. He was to be a 'guide' for each group depending on wether or not it was an all female group. If it was all guys, Lucy would 'guide' them though. Anyone else or a mixed group would be scared off by Erza and Gray. It was (Y/n)'s job to stand at the exit dressed as Frankenstein.

As the group enters Loke, dressed as a vampire, approaches. "So you dared entered this place, ladies." He says, sitting at a lone table with a lit candle. "What is it that brought you here?"

"We heard a kid scream." One of the girls scoffed, "clearly it was just some kid from before." The group starts to make their way to the exit but Natsu eats the candle flames.

"Come now we're just getting to know each other." Loke says, moving closer to the group. Gray moves as well not making a sound, approaching them from the other side. The first floor was now pitch black. He trails a freezing cold finger across one of the girls arms, making her jump.

Loke continues to speak. "Oh? Is there something to be afraid of? It's just the Fairy Tail guild." Gray touches another ones hand, that girl bumps into the girl next to her. "There's nothing to be afraid of." Erza drops her sword onto the ground with a loud "bang!"

Wendy projects her voice to sound as if she's across the whole guild and screams again. Gray has now returned to his seat at the same table Loke was at. Natsu light that candle as Erza picks up her sword.

The girls scream and run towards the exit, brushing past Loke. Erza, standing at attention again swings her sword downward blocking their small path. Lighting the rest of the candles, Natsu reviles that the once large room was now converted into a hallway like room. Very small and narrow.

She drops the sword and looks at girls dead in the eye, even though they can see hers. Reaching out her hand slowly the girls race out the exit door to see (Y/n) standing right outside, standing like a statue. Happy was also resting on top of the 'status' like any normal cat. The girls sighed in relief until (Y/n) touched on the girls cheeks. The group turns their heads, (Y/n) now making direct eye contact.

The girls ran away screaming just like Wendy, except for them it's out of real fear.

This event for sure brought in enough money for the guild by the end of the first hour.

Falling asleep while writing this. Procrastinated writing this until I was about to sleep, thought about just not writing it all together but here we are. Again if I went to a haunted house (a fake one that was all for show) then maybe this would have been better. The closest thing I've ever been too was a haunted forest my elementary school did but that was over seven years ago. And I remember only one detail.

Still I hope you got a laugh out of this. It's not supposed to be scary, more to make you laugh because you are cringing so hard. Or because I made the reader more silly rather than confident or serious. Anyway-

LOVE YOU GUYS
