Crushing bones, stabbing right in the heart, slicing someone in half, killing. That's my job, yeah it's not the best job but at least I'm doing something. They always called me a killer, saying "please don't kill me," or your older brother says "when you grow up your gonna be a killer." I was twelve when that happened, and they were right.

When I was thirteen, I was the new kid in school, people would give me weird looks. They would always ask me, "what are you staring at?" That always pissed me off, they never cared. One day I snapped, I couldn't help it.

I was doing my homework during lunch break. I never talk to people, they piss me off, so I was alone.

"Wow, the killer returns." Some guy says behind me, I was in the classroom.

"Come on baby, we don't want to get killed." A girl said. I know who it is now, they always wanted to fight me.

I got up and looked them right in their eyes, "you really want to die today, don't ya." I said.

The guy laughed, and the girl looked terrified of me. "Yeah, I'll fight you." He said.

I smirked, "when and where would you like to die?"

"Right here right now." He said, the girl ran out of the room, screaming for a teacher to stop us.

The fight didn't even last two minutes, his nose and left arm were broken. My lip was busted open and my knuckles were turning purple from punching him.

A teacher had to stop us, meaning, they called in the army to stop me. That's how much I scared them, the world, and every person alive.

That was two years before I joined Night Raid. Two years since I met Tatsumi, two years before his two best friends died. That's were we are at now, the anniversary of there deaths.

"Is Tatsumi still out there?" The boss asked. We are at the hid out, Tatsumi has been out there, next to there graves of hours. From four am to now ten pm. Akame and Mine were gone out on a mission, so I was left here to watch him. You know, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.

"Yes ma'am. He's been out there for hours now, but has done anything but stare at their graves." I replied, to be honest I hated seeing him like this.

"You seem sad, (y/n)." Boss said, I looked down, and she sighed, "looks like the killer does have feelings after all."

My head shot up, "are you trying to piss me off!" I shouted, eyes filled with rage.

She shook her head, "not at all, you know I wouldn't do something like that. Just wanted to make sure that you're not going soft."

"Well, how else are you supposed to be when your best friend is crying on the inside?" I asked.

She thought for a moment, "well you could go talk to him, try to get him to eat."

I nodded my head, "thank you." I went outside and sat down next to Tatsumi.

He's faces was stained with tears, "do you need something?" He asked, not looking at me.

"The boss and I are just worried about you. You've been out her for hours, ya know." I said.

"Yeah I know, it's just," he paused for a moment, "how would you feel if your best friends died right before your eyes?"

"That means that everyone left in Night Raid would have to die, and I rather not think about that." I said.

"I understand-"

"But, " I said cutting him off, "I wouldn't move for weeks, that would be the worst thing ever."

"I'm not gonna leave you that easily, you know." Tatsumi said, looking at me.

I pulled him into my arms, "I'll never leave you ether." He wrapped his arms around me as well.

I pulled back after a while, "you ready to eat now?" I asked.

"Oh yeah I am."
