Chuuya Nakahara X Port Mafia! Fem! Reader (Bungo Stray Dogs) {Seventeen}

Cause I'm seventeen and I've wanted to write a one shot sort of based off the song "Seventeen" from Heathers the Musical. You did it, fourteen year old me.

"Huh!?" Chuuya shouts, throwing his hands in the air. "You want us to do what!?"

"Infiltrate a high school." The boss repeats casually, "that shouldn't be a problem for the two of you. Right?"

"No sir it wouldn't be." (Y/n) deadpanned. "What are the details?"

He looks over at his partner in crimes with the most confused, 'are you serious right now!?' look. He was honestly being overdramatic.

"You will be staying in the same apartment complex side by side a train ride away from the school. Now this is an easy school to transfer to so don't worry about being a honor student. In fact this is known for having it's delinquents." The boss laughs as Chuuya starts to loosen up a bit.

"The students council president is your target. And her boyfriend too." The boss tries to continue explaining but Chuuya cuts him off.

"You want us to kill kids!"

"No, simply bring them here. Then I'll deal with them personally." Wether that means the boss kills them himself, the two don't know. Neither of them think about it again. "That is all," he tosses them each a key, "and your apartment keys. The schools uniform is already inside along with necessary school supplies. I'm counting on you two."

"Honestly," Chuuya kicks a can outside the Port Mafia building. "What is he thinking!?"

"Shut up already." (Y/n) sighs, "a jobs a jobs. At least it's a simple one."

"You think gaining someone's trust is simple?" He scoffs, "and here I thought you rarely trust anyone."

"Look at the business we're in dumbass." She retorts, "of course I don't. And you don't either. Besides it depends on the person. We'll just have to find our way to the target and go from there."

He holds back from making a comment, shoving his hands in his pocket.

Once they arrived at the apartment building, they went to their separate rooms. Each had a kitchen, a small bathroom and closet. Much like a studio apartment you would see in the western part of the world. Everything was contained in one room.

Their school uniforms were laid out on the counter along with a print out of their class schedule. Chuuya walks into (Y/n) apartment, "this is a joke right? Class starts at eight in the morning!?"

"Guess you need to set multiple alarms." (Y/n) mutters and checks the fridge to see if there was any food already stocked. To her disappointment, there wasn't a crumb. "Looks like we'll need to go shopping tomorrow..."

"For what?"

"Oh you're still here?" He glares at her but doesn't reply. "For food. Unless you plan on eating take out for every meal."

"Wait you don't?" He chuckles, thinking she must be messing around. Her blank stare gives him his answer.

----

"Hey!" (Y/n) bangs on Chuuya's door. "Wake the fuck up!"

He opens the door and pulls her inside, "would you shut up! The neighbors are gonna hear you!"

She gives him a disapproving look, "where is your tie?"

"I don't need a tie."

"Already trying to rebel huh?"

"What's the point of wearing it anyway?"

"Dunno I haven't been to school in ages. Just put it on and let's go."

"Yes boss." Chuuya mocks, walking to his closet and grabs his school bag. "Were you even good at school?"

"Eh." She shrugs, "I wasn't the brightest but I wasn't the dumbest."

"Second or third?"

"Fifth thank you." She huffs, "but at least I tried to keep some of it up. Do you even know how to add two digit numbers?"

"I grew up in the slums, adding wasn't needed." He defends, "lets just walk in silence."

"Fine by me."

They saw a few other students wearing the same uniform they were up ahead. Still they didn't say a word. Though this is normal for them. While they both work well together, when it comes to fighting, their personalities clash often. Making many of the Port Mafia members amused.

It seemed like the whole school was outside the building, hanging out at the front gate. Either that or this school was huge. Not wanting to break the silence, the two slowly made their way through the crowd.

In the end, they got separated by the crowd and (Y/n) was getting pushed and shoved. Lashing out at the students on the first day would be bad, she tells herself. Until she finds herself on the ground. Others around her look down and snicker.

Just before she looses her cool and cusses all of them out, "are you okay?" A hand is stretched out to her. She's seen this before, it's in almost every shoujo manga. A classic scene that-

"Yes I'm fine." She takes the hand and gets pulled up.

A girl walks out of the building with a megaphone and yells, "alright everyone get to class!" The sea of people quickly disperses. (Y/n) can finally see who is still holding her hand, and of course it was a good-looking boy.

The boy notices Chuuya watching him, "oh sorry about that." He lets her hand go. "Didn't mean to do that to your girlfriend."

"Oh no we're not together, just friends." He quickly defends.

"Hello." The girl walks over to them, "did you get knocked over? Sorry about that it can get crazy here sometimes." She smiles, "I'm Hori, the student counsel president here. This here is Miyamura. It's nice to meet you."

"I'm (Y/n) and this is Chuuya, nice to meet you too."

"You guys must be new here right?" The boy speaks up, "we'll show you to your classroom but let's go to the staff room first." Hori grabs and holds onto Miyamura's arm as they walk.

They look at each other as the other two walk towards the building. It takes Chuuya a moment before it hits him. "Oh shit-" he mutters to himself.

----

Within a week; (Y/n) and Chuuya were welcomed into the president and her boyfriend's friend circle. It was strange for them to be around this many people at once. And exhausting.

"Why are there so many of them?" (Y/n) sighs and sits down in front of her apartment door.

"Their popular." Chuuya response even though she wasn't looking for an answer. He knows that. "Did you go to school?"

"Yeah but it was small, nothing like this. Hell they wear different shoes indoors. My school was outside Chuuya."

"Yeah what's up with that anyway?"

"Guess people can afford more than a pair of shoes around here." She stands up, "gonna do your homework?"

"Yeah that way I don't get yelled at. You do that enough already." He says and waves goodbye, disappearing into his room. She follows his actions, wanting something to eat after a long day.

Just below the apartments was none other than the president and her boyfriend. "See I told you they have to be dating!" She exclaims, tugging on her boyfriend's arm.

"Yeah yeah you were right. Let's go already, people might start to stare."

"You know what we should do?"

"You're too happy about this," he sighs but gives into the cute look on her face. "What?"

"Go on a double date!" She beams, "we can have more time hanging out with them-"

"We have the same classes Hori-"

"And see them all lovey-dovey!"

"They don't seem like the kind of people-"

"I just love watching people fall in love." Hori finally ends her speech, not knowing Miyamura was interrupting her. "But we should ask them in private, in case they don't want the others to find out."

He sighs and drags her along as she lists off all the possible dates the 'couples' could go on.

The next morning, the president and her boyfriend find (Y/n) and Chuuya walking to school together. It was Hori's plan to "bump into them" that morning to avoid fellow classmates overhearing their conversation.

"Oh hey!" Shouts from behind them, "I didn't know you guys took this route."

"Hey," (Y/n) greets back as Chuuya chugs his energy drink. "Yeah we both take this route too. I thought you live in a different direction..."

Miyamura, poor Miyamura, had to smooth things over. "She came to walk with me today, usually it's the other way around."

"I see I see." (Y/n) nods, "well might as well walk together then."

Miyamura looks down to see the look on Hori's face, her plan is working. She seems very pleased. "So you two must live around here then?"

"Yeah." Chuuya replies, "same building."

"What a coincidence." Hori starts, "and you both came to the same school at the same time."

"Universe works in strange ways." He reasons hoping she hasn't caught onto what's really happening. Little did he, or (Y/n), know it was backwards.

Hori stops in front of them, "you guys are dating, aren't you?"

Silence fills the street, everyone was staring blankly at her. Including her boyfriend who knew this would happen. Making a note to learn how to say no to his girlfriend. A lesson he never truly learned when it comes to the little things.

(Y/n) was slightly panicking. Hori had caught onto them so soon and too many coincidences can't add up. Chuuya certainly didn't help clear the air. "Y-yeah." She speaks and Chuuya's eyes widen the size of the moon.

Hori beams and Miyamura sighs. "I knew it! I told you!" She exclaims and grabs onto his arms. "No need to be shy around us, we won't tell anyone."

(Y/n) and Chuuya walks behind them until they got to school. He was giving her side glances as his face twitched. During lunch, they went up to the roof of the school. It was locked but it was no match for Port Mafia members. (Y/n) had to pick it, Chuuya would have just broken it down.

"What the hell are you thinking!?" He shouts as soon as the door closes. It was freezing outside, everyone other students and staff member was in the building. They could yell as much as they wanted and no one would hear.

"I was saving our asses!" (Y/n) shouts back, "she caught onto us too quickly! What was I supposed to say 'nah girlie we're just strangers who just so happen to meet and go to the same school and transfer at the same time!'" She takes a deep breath, "what was your plan!?"

Chuuya goes silent.

"Besides this will bring us closer to them. Then all we need to do is bring them to the boss. We could say it's one of our fathers company he works at. Or get someone to-"

"Are you serious about this?" He asks. "I know you never truly got the chance to live as a kid, or around kids your age, but-"

"I went to school thank you."

"And I ran a gang of kids in the slums. You grew up around adults." He sighs, "that's not the point we shouldn't be taking about this here. Just stick to the plan, we get close to them."

(Y/n) leaves.

----

Following Chuuya's wishes; "this isn't what I meant by get closer to them." He mutters under his breath.

"You should have seen this coming." (Y/n) shrugs, "we are 'just sticking to the plan' after all."

"You're just doing this to get back at me." He snarls but fixes his face and tone when the couple turns back to see them.

"Thanks again for inviting us." (Y/n) smiles, "it's been ages since I went bowling."

"Same here, it's more fun when another couple to play with." Hori smiles back and they enter the building.

They played round after round, both boys getting way too into it. In the end, Chuuya came out victorious. "Beginners luck." Miyamura says in a form of congratulations. Really it was because Chuuya knows more about gravity than anyone.

As the couples walk out of the building, Miyamura spots a movie poster across the street. "Wanna see it? I hear it's going to be the worst movie of the year."

"Why-" Chuuya gets cut off.

"Yes let's go!" (Y/n) agrees and Hori checks the time.

"We can grab some food afterwords, I'm gonna be starving..."

And so the group watches some weird sci-fi movie. Not a soul to follow the plot. They all ended up making fun of it and laughing since no one else was in the theater. The day slowly came to a close as they started walking to the train station.

Hori made her final comment, "you guys aren't really into PDA huh?" She asks, "Miyamura isn't either. He just puts up with it."

"Everyone makes sacrifices." He replies playfully, getting smacked in the arm.

Chuuya -- being a dumbass and not living in a 'normal' setting-- doesn't know what PDA stands for. He doesn't get his next words much thought, "we do PDA."

Everyone stares at him for a moment. "You don't though..." Miyamura speaks up. "Like holding hands or kissing in public-"

"Show us." Hori has this shitting eating grin on her face. "Your PDA." Again, poorly chosen wording but Chuuya understands. And kisses (Y/n) in front of everyone.

Which was strange that she didn't push him away or do anything, she just stood there. A part of her wondered if she should kiss him back, but then everyone else would see. The very thought was too embarrassing. Hori teased them about it until they boarded different trains.

(Y/n) and Chuuya talked about meaningless things as they headed back to their apartments.

As they door closes behind them, they each had a thought. A weird, strange thought.

"Huh, I actually liked kissing Chuuya."

"Why the fuck did I like kissing (Y/n)!?"

----

"Now then." The boss looks over at (Y/n) and Chuuya. Five months have passed since they had stood in his room. "You two have done well I see." Another member takes away the president and her boyfriend without force.

"Sir," (Y/n) says, "forgive me for speaking out of turn but what are you going to do with them?"

He grins, "nothing."

"Huh?" "Come again?"

"Nothing at all." He repeats, "this was just an exercise for you two, if you will."

"Come again?" "Huh?"

"I wanted you both to have a chance at living a normal high school student life. And you did yes?"

"We did." Chuuya answers, "but what did you tell them?"

"Too many lies to relay back." He laughs. "Dazai did come up with this idea."

"Of course he did." They both scoff at the same time.

"But it seems you two have learned something about each other and yourselves. This mission was a successful one. I'll meet you both here again tomorrow morning." He waves them off.

As the door closes behind them, "what now?" Chuuya asks.

"I dunno. What do you want to do now?" (Y/n) asks.

"See a bad movie." He chuckles, "try baking again. Just the two of us. Hori would never stop teasing us if they came along."

"Alright then, let's head to my place and see what's playing near by. And see what I have stocked up." She grabs his hand when they are a good distance away from the Port Mafia.

"Sounds good to me."

Yes yes rushed ending but it's not like I had anything else already thought of. Nor can I write dating scenes much less with another couple. I swear I'll figure it out one of these days. But it's funny, I don't think I've read a fanfic about going on an actual date. Or any form of media (other than manga but I'm not really counting that here since it has pictures not just words).

Other than that I don't think I need to explain anything. I have thought about turning this idea into a book since I really like it. I just don't think I can condense everything into a one shot without multiple parts. Sadly there's no time for that now. I dunno, just a thought I had.

LOVE YOU GUYS
