Something a little cute. This is a request!

Edit February 3, 2021: Honestly didn't think I had this many no pronouns or indications of gender for the reader but I guess I had more than I thought. Uh, if you read anything that says the reader does indeed have a gender please tell me and I will correct it.

"What!? What do you mean there's no fighting today! This is Sword Art Online we're talking about here!" I yelled at the NPC. Today was the day I was going to go on a few hunts to earn money and level up. 

"I'm sorry but that is what the game master said." Replied the NPC.

I shook my head, "no I'm sorry for yelling at you."

"You know it's just a computer, right?" Kirito said as he started to walk up towards me. 

I turned to look at him, he still had his sword. "Yeah but still, you shouldn't be mean to them."

He chuckled and took my hand in his, "what do you want to do today?" 

I shrugged, "we can't leave town today. What the hell are we supposed to do?"

"Go on a date like everyone else." He replied, "after all we are dating, right?"

"Sure." 

He looked at me, "Really you're just 'sure' that we are dating. Jeez thanks (y/n)."

I kissed him on the check, "you're welcome~"

Kirito rolled his eyes and we stepped into a bakery. "See anything you want?" He asked.

"Not really, we can get some bread and make sandwiches at my place. If you want to that is?" I answered with a smile.

"So you're that broke huh?" He asked.

I know he was kidding but I lightly shoved him anyway, "I wouldn't be if I could fight today."

He smiled and bought some bread. As we headed back to my house, we saw a flayers all over one building. Just the one building. I took one of the flayers with my free hand and began to read it aloud.

"Reward for hunting B-class monsters." 

"That's it? It doesn't even say what to look for." Kirito said.

I nodded, "yeah some kid must have been trying to pull a prank."

"Sounds like you when we were kids." He replied as I posted the flayer back on the building.

"Yeah but at least I didn't do anything serious. A newbie might take that seriously you know." I replied. 

He gave me a weird look, "d-did you think that we you started out?"

I stared at the ground has be bursted out laughing.

"It wasn't a MMO game okay! They didn't tell you what to do!" I exclaimed, letting off his hand.

"What kind of game doesn't tell you what to do?" He asked after he finally stopped laughing. 

"The good kind. While it's nice to know where to go, having the satisfaction of finding out where to go without having to look it up is amazing."

"You mean after hours of running around and wasting time?" He replied.

"If you mean leveling up and days then yes." I said with a serious face.

He shook his head at me, "you spend more time playing video games than I do. Kinda scares me..."

I glared over at him, "yeah whatever. Just because the person you're dating is better at video games than you doesn't mean that-"

"Okay hold on, you are not better than me at video games." He said with a more serious face.

"I am better than you. You just have a bigger ego than me." I replied as I unlock the door to my house.

"Sure, I have the bigger ego. I'll admit to that, BUT that doesn't mean you are better than me." He said, "after all I can fight with duel blades. Something you can't do."

I shoved him to the side and entered my house. He laughed and entered as well, closing the door behind him. "Are you really mad at me?"

I shot him a quick glare and walked into the small kitchen to grabbed what we need for sandwiches.

"For someone who always clears floors and hunts you have a really nice place. After all you don't really need a big house, since it's just you. How come you're so broke?" 

"Because all my money was stolen by my old guild." I replied, "I'm surprised I didn't lose this place."

"How come I didn't know about it?"

"You were clearing floors and I decided not to tell you."

The kitchen counter was not full of food for our sandwiches.

"Anyway let's not talk about that. I'm sure you're ready to eat."

Kirito smiled, "yeah."

Some how making a simple sandwich turned into a war of "who can make the tallest sandwich!!!"

Of course, I did. Okay maybe I poked his with my sword but a wins a win.

This led to Kirito giving me the death glare, leaving me to take off running.

"Bet you can't catch me!" I shouted as I run out the back door and into the woods.

"We'll see about that!" He shouted back as he ran after me.

I was a giggling mess the whole time, taking me back to when we were kids. 

I looked back to see how far away he was and tripped over a tree root. Kirito was still a good distance away, so I got up and started running once again. Only now at a slower pace. 

He finally caught up with me and tackled me to the ground. "Feels just like when we were kids." 

I chuckled, "that's the first thing you say?" 

He pulled me off the ground and buried my face in his chest, "shut up."

"Now this is just like when we were kids." I replied with a small laugh.

He pulled me away from his body to look at my face, "if I kissed you then it will really be like when we were kids."

"Just because this is how we had our first kiss doesn't mean that you'll kiss me." I said, "you would have already."

He glared at me, "thanks for ruining the moment."

I smiled, "your welcome~"

He kissed me after rolling his eyes, burring my face in his chest once again after the short kiss.

"Still get embarrassed?" I asked.

He rested his head on top of mine and nodded, "yeah." He mumbled.

I giggled, "face turning red?"

Kirito nodded again, "it's your fault. You're too cute."

I don't know why I decided to stop here but uh.... yeah I just did. I know I know I'm slacking off on writing. As you can tell, I had no clue what I was going with this one but I think it worked out okay. Anyway I hope you guys liked this one and I'll see you all later!
