I woke up in the place we started
Your clothes on the floor in that old apartment
I never thought you'd leave with out a trace

Two weeks, just fourteen days. It's been that long since Sasuke asked me to marry him. I thought he would never marry me cause I'm a freak. I was standing in the bathroom, in the apartment we shared until we buy a house.

Sasuke came in a wrapped his arms around my waist. I know he was tried, it was a long day for both of us. I was about a head shorter than Sasuke, but too him that's a lot. He rested his head on top of mine. "What are you thinking about?" He asked.

"The mission I'm going on tomorrow. I hope I don't get a vision again tonight. They keep getting worse and worse." I said, looking down, away from the mirror that was before us.

"You mean more accurate? I thought that when you looked into the future it's about a fifty-fifty chance that it could be wrong or right."

"So did I," I sighed, "why can't we just sleep all day tomorrow! You just got back home! Why does Naruto have to send me on this mission now?"

Sasuke spun me around, " look up, I want to see my fiancé's beautiful face."

I leaned my forehead on to his chest. "You know I think I'm a freak. Why do you have to call me that?"

"Because your not. Your power has saved the village many time, that includes my life." Said Sasuke.

"I guess...." I looked up at him, "thanks Sasuke. Anyway, let's go to bed, I wanna sleep."

Sasuke chuckled, "of course, you do."

I hit arm, and walked out of the bathroom. "Just leave your clothes on the floor and change, I'll get them when I get back from my mission."

Sasuke nodded, and laid down in bed with me. "Good night." He said.

"Night, I won't be here when you wake up. Just know that I love you." I said, and closed my eyes.

"I love you too." Sasuke whispered.

I got up the next morning, it was the worst vision I've had in my life. I left quickly, without saying good bye to Sasuke. Who was still sleeping.

As I was walking to Naruto's office, I put my hand on the sword Sasuke gave me. It was the sword that he gave me when he asked me to marry him. He said that "a ring is to basic, I'll give you my sword if you marry me?"

I always smile when I see the sword. I was one of the top ninja in the whole village. So it was a surprise when Naruto told me I was going on a b-rank mission.

"We don't know how dangerous this mission really is. It could turn out to be a s-rank mission. If you don't come back in less than twelve days, Sasuke and myself will come looking for you. Does Sasuke know about the mission?"

I shook my head, "I was gonna tell him this morning as I was getting read. But my vision from my dream last night felt too real. I just couldn't bring myself to tell him." I replied, looking him in the eye.

"It was that bad, huh?"

I nodded me head but didn't say anything.

"Well, just be very careful, and be on the look out for assassins. Not that I need to tell you that, right."

I just nodded my head, and left. When I got to the front gate, I looked back at the village. I could barely breath, like I said that vision was too real.

I'm looking for a way to change my mind don't walk away

I knew Sasuke was gonna be mad when I got back. He said "I promise, when I get back we'll pick a date for the wedding. Think about it while I'm gone, but not too much."

I knew I always freaked him out when I told him about my visions. No matter how strong he is, he can't fool me. I almost walked out in him once, about one week after Naruto become Hokage. I was at the door, hand on the door knob all it took to keep me stay was.

"If you can look me in the eye and say, 'I have never loved you.' I'll let you leave. If you can't, then you must stay."

Sasuke knew that I couldn't say that. Even if I did he'd say "don't walk away!"

Oh, tell me what we're fighting for
It turning to an all out war
I'll find a way to fix theses broken pieces and let go

One time Sasuke and I were on opposite sides. Many times in fact, we were fighting two different wars. The Fourth Great Ninja War, and the war between ourselves. I was kept off the battle field because of my ability to see the future. The five kage knew knew if the enemy found out and used it to there advantage, everyone would have been killed.

The war between us, well that's a different story. The short of it, well I'm from a different village. I from an island that far way from anyone. When I came to the leaf village, I was a peace offering. Meaning, I was the third strongest person and that they didn't need me.

The war between us is what I think about when I'm traveling a long distance. If my people form the island ever want me back, I don't know what I would say.

I'll find a way to fix these broken pieces and let go
I'm tryna find a way back home if it takes until I'm skin and bones

As I walking up the mountain, I started thinking about all my memories from the island. My best friend, all the places we would sneak out to late at night, I miss him some times.

It was Akihiro and I up until the last month I was on the island. You see, I told him everything and he told me everything. So when the time came that I was used as a peace offering, the chief used him to trick me into taking the food. The food had a sleeping pill, that way I couldn't escape off the boat. Not even my visions could ever tell me that. I knew I was being used as a peace offering, but like I said my visions were 50-50 percent chance of being right.

I forgive him when I found out that they would have killed his whole clan in front of him and then him. After I heard that, I knew I couldn't be mad at him.

Like I said, it was always Akihiro and I. I never told Sadie and him, I knew Sasuke would kick his add if he found out. We would sneak out late at night to go hiking threw the woods almost every night. We made a hideout and three months before I left. I hope this screaming person isn't Akihiro. I might not be able to say no if he asks me to come back.

I got the the clients house, and knocked on the door. A man and a lady came out, the lady had a baby in her arms. They all look like they haven't slept in days.

"I'm from the hidden leaf village, are you the ones that made the request?" I asked.

"Yes we are. Thank you so much for come." The man spoke up, and we shook hands.

"There have been screams for about a week now." The man said, then the lady piped up, "they have been screaming '(y/n)! Are you there? Please come back!' Or '(y/n) come back! The chief has died! We need you!'"

I kept a straight face, I wanted to scream. Do something, anything, but I knew that it would make them afraid of me. So I just nodded my head.

"Could you tell me where the screams are coming from?"

The man nodded and pointed to a mountain behind me, "right from the top of that mountain, they come mostly at night."

"Thank you, I promise I'll put a stop to them." With that I started running, without telling them my name. If I did that, who knows what they would've told Naruto.

Our last words ringing in my head
I wish we'd take back all the things we said I'm tryna to find a way to yesterday

I got to the top a few hours later, I was four days into my mission and it was black as a black cat at midnight.

"(Y/n)! Are you here! Please come back! I'm sorry!" A male voice shouted. It sounded a little like Akihiro, only more grown up. The last time I heard his voice I was like ten.

I laced my fingers together 'Sasuke, please forgive me, but, I won't leave you.' I thought.

I took a deep breath in, "Akihiro! Is that you?"

"(Y/n)? Yes, it's me!" Akihiro shouted, running towards me.

When he reached me, I'm not gonna lie, he was hot. Not sexy, just hot. He had dark brown eyes and was as tall as Naruto. His hair was a mixture of Sasuke and Kiba.

Akihiro looked me, the moon was shining threw the trees. Landing on he and I, we both had a amazed look on our faces. The two best friends are finally back together.

"I can't believe it, y-you came!" Akihiro said, pulling me into a tight hug.

My first thought was 'what would Sasuke say if I hug him back?!'

"What's wrong?" Akihiro asked, "are you still mad at me?" He pulled away.

I waved my hands around, "no way! You had too! I was told everything when I got to the village!"

He let out a breath, "thank goodness. Then why won't you hug me?"

'Should I tell him about Sasuke? No, not yet. They want me back this is my fight and my fight only.'

"Umm.... look it's just weird seeing you and after all of that..." I tried to lie, as you can see I'm not very good on the spot.

"Okay then let me make it up for you!" He exclaimed.

"N-no that's-"

"Let's get married!"

Out of all the things he could have said, this was my biggest fear.

"We always said that we would get married! Remember?"

Shit, I forgot, but there's no way I'm leaving Sasuke. He means too much to me.

"Look, Akihiro-"

I swear if he doesn't stop cutting me off.

"I know, okay I know. We just saw each other a few minutes ago..."

"No it's not that its-"

"I know your scared and-"

I swore that if he cut me off again, I was gonn lose it. So here goes nothing.

"Would you shut the fuck up! Like damn like let me finish my God dang sentence!" I screamed, Akihiro's eyes widen.

He knows I only cuss when A, after my parents piss me off too much and B when I'm really pissed.

"Will you just listen to me, just for one second!" I said calmly, Akihiro just nodded his head.

"I'm not going back to the island, I have a home that I love. I will never marry anyone from that island. I was used for peace, I was pissed at everyone on that island. But back at the village, everyone saw me for me! Not some peace offering, but I still love everyone on the island, sure the adults hated me because of were I'm from, but I didn't care. I had friends that didn't give a damn about where I was from." I explained.

Akihiro was pissed. I knew he liked me back then, but like we're Naruto has kids old. I thought he was over it.

He put both of his hands on my shoulder, I put my hand on my sword.

"(Y/n), I don't give a damn! If you love us then come back! Don't make me use force."

That was it, I pulled out my sword, and he jumped back. Sasuke's last words was ringing in my head, 'I love you.'

Turing in circles and chasing our tails and wondering why we created this waste land I wish you wouldn't be so cavalier

We both fought with swords, so this may take awhile. Akihiro was so calm about this whole thing. I could tell he has been training for this for years. Did he really want me back this much?

We did so much turning in circles, I started to get dizzy. I looked around as he planed his next move. The trees that were around us were all cut down. We have to stop, before we create a waste land.

"Akihiro we have to stop!" I said, but he still came at me.

"Finally giving up? I knew you could never hurt the love of your life." He smirked.

"You're right, I can't hurt the love of my life."

He smiled, "that because he's not here." I said, and made a cut on his left arm.

"If I have to create a waste land to protect him then I will! I will never leave him!" I held up my sword, "because he will never leave me!"

"You little shit!" He said, and came back at me with more power.

We're fading out, we're all alone its what you want and I suppose I can tell you feel the same when you say you're looking for a way to change your mind don't walk away

After about a half an hour, we were both out of breath. I had two cuts on both arms, and three on my right leg. I had a huge cut across the right side of my face.

Akihiro had four cuts on his legs, two on each side. Another cut on his left arm and one more on him right arm. I'd say we're both even.

"We're both alone, ya know. You may have the love of your life, but that doesn't mean again thing. Your visions are more life like than ever. They will only get worse." Akihiro said.

This is just like the one I had last night. Word for word, does that mean the ending will be the same?

"I'm alone now, yes, but as soon as I walk into that village I'm not. I'm sure that you know about the nine tails child right? He's the head of the village now. The loneliest person in the village a few years back. That was you and I back at the village. No one cared about us, I suppose nothing has changed for you. You want to come back and be a 'hero' for bring me back. Right?"

Akihiro chuckled, "just as sharp as always."

"Then I'll just walk away. We both know you can't win. So go look for a way to change your mind."

With that I left, Sasuke is gonna kill me when I get home.

Oh, tell me what we're fighting for it's turning to an all out war we'll find a way to fix these broken pieces and let go, let go, let go, fix these broken pieces and let go

I had to walk the whole way home, so it almost took a week. Sasuke and Naruto were at the front gate.

"I'm home guys." I said and they looked at me.

Sasuke walked up to me, he was pissed.

"Where the hell have you been!?"

"On my mission, duh."

"Why did it take you so long!?"

"Look, I have to go to the hospital right now. Let's fight later, alright." With that I walked away.

"(Y/n)! We need to talk about your mission!" Naruto called, but I kept walking.

I got almost half way with villagers looking and me. Like they've never seen a person limp to the hospital before.

Sasuke came in front of me, out of nowhere. I scoffed, rolled my eyes and went around him.

He grabbed my arm when I was next to him. "What does your vision say about this? Two of your cuts are black. Naruto has Hinata at our place. I can carry you, but you're not going to the hospital."

"I don't give a damn about my fucking visions! Maybe they're right! But that doesn't matter! If I go with you the whole village will be destroyed! I will not do that to the people I love, not again." I said that last sentence softly.

"What if Hinata comes here? Would that fix it?"

I shook my head, "if Naruto brings her here and you, Naruto and Shikamaru goes find a man that's coming straight for us. Then yes, but you have about an hour."

"That's fine, I'll get Hinata. Stay here and don't move or say anything to anyone."

I nodded my head, and he took off.

"(Y/n)!" Hinata called. I was sitting on the ground, up against a building.

"Where's Sasuke?"

"Naruto and Sasuke found Shikamaru and went to look for that man you told Sasuke about. Now show me your cuts, then let's fined them."

I showed her my cuts, "I can't go with you guys...." I said softly.

"Why not?"

"You know when I came here back then?"

Hinata nodded her head.

"Well...... my best friend from the island came to find me. He started screaming my name to find me. Hell, he wants go get married. The chief died so they want me to take over. In my vision I go with him after half the village is gone."

She didn't say anything, until both cuts were gone. "Then, let's get you home and wait for the guys to get back."

Temari came over and waited for us. It was around midnight, when the guys came in through the door. They had a lot of injuries, thank goodness two medical ninjas were here.

When they left, Sasuke and I started fighting again, well kind of.

"Who was that man and what did he want with you?" Sasuke started off.

"Is he okay?"

"We killed him, we had no choice. He was too close to you and the village. Now answer my question."

"That man's name was Akihiro and he was my best friend from the island. The chief died so they wanted me to come back. So they sent him, after all that was my best friend from back home. And he wanted to get married.."

"And what did you say to that!?"

"Calm down! I told him that I love everyone on that island, I held up the sword and we fought."

Sasuke sighted, "what happened after that?"

"We had a screaming match and then went back to fighting. Had another screaming match and I walked away."

"What did your vision say about all of this?"

"Everything that happened up until you brought Hinata to me instead of bring me to her."

"What if I did that? How would that have changed things?"

"You're smart, I know you already know the answer."

He smiled, "I would have went with you because I love you. That guy would have killed everyone, right?"

"Close, very close. Half the village would have been gone. I would go back before the other half was gone. I would have gotten married to him and left you." Tears filled my eyes, "I can't believe he's gone. I know he was gonna kill everyone, but still. That was my childhood friend, and now he's gone because of this. I should have gone and just came back and forth."

He pulled me into a tight hug, "you know it was his own fault for coming here. There was nothing that you could have done about it."

"But still-"

"Even if you want to go back and forth, they wouldn't have let go again. Hell, they would have used you again. Plus I will never let they take you away. You belong here in my arms and only my arms."

I hugged him back just as tight, "d-did you guys make a grave for him?"

"Yeah, Naruto said that he would tell your island what happened too."

"Thank you, Sasuke."

"Now, did you think about what day you wanted to get married?"

"Yeah, (one year from the day you read this), is that okay for you?"

"Of course, let's sleep."

I nodded my head and we went to sleep. Well, Sasuke did.

I was up all night, crying. Sure, Akihiro was a little crazy but I can't forget all those years we were together.

Sasuke wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him.

"Sleep, I'm right here."

"And I'm where I belong?"

"That didn't sound too confident, still wanna go back to your island?"

I turned and faced him. "No, I just...."

"I know, it's okay. I'll fix all of your broken pieces but you have to let go."

I nodded, "thank you."

"I love you, I'm always here for you no matter what."

"I love you too Sasuke, thanks for bring me home."

Edit February 3, 2021: So, uh, this may be my longest one shot. Which I totally forgot about it I even wrote this on my phone, for like two weeks, but only when I was riding the bus (which was three hours a day). So like??? Really don't remember anything about this one shot but I am doing a mass editing session (but I'm not reading over them or anything cause if I do then everyone one shot would be deleted lol, I'm just going back and fixing the titles) And I dunno I just wanted to say that is is 3,600 words not counting this a/n. So, uh, good job 13 year old me?
