Villain's Answer

Dabi reappeared at the LOV HQ, unsure how to go about explaining Hawks' proposition.

"Well? What did he say?" Shigaraki asked almost as soon as Dabi stepped out of the portal.

"Not even going to give your favorite League of Villains member a hello?" Dabi asked, smirking slightly.

Shigaraki glared at him. Dabi didn't say anything. He was either getting a hello or he was going to his room, and Shigaraki knew that.

Dabi's turquoise eyes glinted with amusement at his boss' internal struggles. He could almost hear Tomura's thoughts.

If I say hello, Dabi wins and he'll be happy, but I'll get the information I want.

If I don't say hello, Dabi'll go to his room and being the ass that he is, he won't tell me until I say hello.

Annoying bitch.

"Fine." Shigaraki grumbled. "Hello."

Dabi smiled. "Hello Tomura. How are you?"

"No." Shigaraki responded, annoyed. "Who's the hero?"

"You're good? That's good. I'm good as well."

"Who's the hero?"

"You won't believe what I did today though, I-"

"Dabi! The hero! Who is it!" Shigaraki demanded angrily.

Dabi rolled his eyes and decided to stop bugging. For now. "Well, you'll be surprised."

"Get on with it." Shigaraki said through clenched teeth, scratching his neck absentmindedly.

"He's a popular one."

Shigaraki glared at Dabi. "Ah yes, I remember the hero named 'He's a Popular One.'"

Dabi chuckled. "It's Hawks."

Shigaraki stopped scratching and stared at Dabi. "Hawks? As in the number two hero?"

Dabi nodded. "He said the system's corrupt, yada yada yada, a bunch of other bullshit he probably heard from the Stain video thing from a little while back."

Shigaraki thought for a moment. "Hm."

"So do you want me to kill him?"

Shigararki shook his head, catching Dabi off guard. "No, let's allow him to join. If he wants to so bad."

"He very easily could just be working with the heroes, trying to get information on us." Dabi pointed out.

Shigaraki looked at the burnt villain as though he were extremely slow. "Yes, I don't doubt that he is."

Dabi looked at his boss, confused.

"But this is beneficial to us as well. He'll need to gain our trust. He-"

"Will give us information." Dabi finished, catching on quickly. The blue haired villain looked annoyed at being interrupted, but that didn't bother Dabi at all. Shigaraki didn't scare him.

"Yes." Shigaraki said thinly. "And then, once we've collected all the information we need, you can do your thing." Shigaraki smirked, his red eyes glinting dangerously. "What a perfect way to continue breaking down hero society. A hero who danced a little too close to an open flame."

Dabi didn't say anything, just gestured for a drink from Shigaraki and downed it in one.

The next day Dabi left early, desperately wanting to get his meeting with Hawks out of the way. He would have to basically kidnap the bird- they hadn't exactly made any plans for their next meeting. So now Dabi was left looking for a hero who might not even have patrols in this area. Usually he would just burn down a building but it would all be in vain if Hawks wasn't nearby and some other hero came to put the fire out.

Plus, Dabi wasn't really in the mood.

So the villain just continued his walk, hoodie pulled up over his face- his jacket was in the wash. They may be villains, but they weren't barbarians.

Voices drifted up to Dabi's ears.

"...Currently seeing anyone?" someone said. Dabi crept forward to see a smiling Hawks surrounded by reporters.

"I'm single as a pringle and happy to be that way!" Hawks answered, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. Dabi stepped into the shadows a little further. He found the hero... now to get his attention.

"And if someone was interested in asking you out? Your fans are dying to know!"

Hawks seemed to be thinking, then he simply stated, "I'm going to a bar tonight at six. If you're lucky and see me- feel free to say hi! I'm not looking for anything though so don't expect anything!" the bird said happily.

Dabi narrowed his eyes. Perhaps that would be a better time to talk to him, under the cover of bar lights, music, and drunks. Plus, he was surrounded by reporters and it would not be beneficial to the villains at all if Dabi got himself caught on camera talking to the number two hero.

Slinking back into the shadows, Dabi decided to head back home, carelessly lighting a finger and setting some poor old woman's hedges on fire.

The villain had a reputation to keep up anyways.
