Kokichi and Himiko's Great Penguin Rescue (6)

Kokichi and the girls flew straight into the middle of the zoo using their backpack gliders. As they landed, the gliders retracted back into their backpacks. Kokichi reached for his walkie talkie.

"Two, we're inside," Kokichi whispered. Two was back inside the Joyota, their getaway car, with Ten at the wheel. They were located a few blocks away from the zoo. Meanwhile, Four, Six, Eight, and Nine agreed to go to GameSlop for the original video game heist plan.

"Got it, boss!" Two replied, looking at the blueprints. "What's your exact location?" Kokichi looked around him. They had landed near the big cat area.

"We're outside the south exit of the big cat area," Kokichi replied. "The gorilla enclosure is on the other side of us."

"Searching...searching..." Two mumbled. "Got it! The cameras are right above the doors to the cat area and the gorilla area. Also...there should be a fountain near where you are." Kokichi looked to his right and noticed a fountain in the shape of a lion made to look like it was spewing water from its mouth. Kokichi scrunched his face in disgust.

   "Yeah...what about it?" he asked.

"Apparently, there's a camera on there, too," Two replied. Through his mask, Kokichi squinted his eyes. The statue itself was a gray color, due to it being made out of stone. But as Kokichi looked closer, he noticed that the lion's eyes were black and smooth, like a camera's lens.

"I see it," he told Two. He then turned to Five. "Five, fire the goop launcher at the cameras."

"Ew! I don't wanna use it!" Five exclaimed. "I just did my nails! What if I get goop on them?!" Seven sighed irritably and snatched the goop launcher from Five.

"I'll do it," she muttered. She aimed the goop launcher at each of the cameras and fired, covering the cameras' lenses in a green goop that hardened quickly.

"Nice aim, Seven!" Kokichi whispered, giving her a thumbs up. He then turned to Himiko. "Babe, do you remember where the penguins are?"

"Nyeh...we have to go all the way across the other end of the zoo, to the marine life building," Himiko explained reluctantly, daunted by he task ahead. "We have to go past the monkeys, birds, and the reptiles. What a pain."

"Non, non, we can do it!" Kokichi replied, placing an encouraging hand on Himiko's shoulder.

"Besides, that sounds like fun!" Three exclaimed. "We get to see cute animals along the way!"

"Well, we can't stop to look at them for long, Three," Kokichi said. Three's shoulders slumped.

"Not even for a teensy-weensy moment?" she asked in a small voice.

"For you, a teensy-weensy moment lasts, like, two hours," Five said, crossing her arms.

"Humm...I can't help it...I like animals," Three mumbled.

"We can always come back here some other time," Kokichi said. "In the meantime, we got a penguin to rescue! So, let's go, chicas! " They dashed off into the monkeys and apes enclosure, hiding every now and then to either goopify the cameras, or hide from any security guard walking by. Soon, they passed the bird and reptile enclosures with ease before entering the marine life building.

"Whoa...this place is cool," Seven said, looking at all the different-sized aquariums around her. Three had her face pressed up against one of the tanks, imitating a fish face.

"Gloop, gloop! Hee-hee-hee! Hiya, Mr. Fishy!" she said, giggling and waving to the fish. Five grabbed one of her pigtails and yanked her away.

"Ugh...we're on a mission, Three!" she scolded. Three pulled her pigtail back and patted her head.

"Well, you didn't have to yank me!" she hissed.

"I wouldn't have to yank you if you weren't busy trying to talk to fish!" Five spat.

"Oh, go get yourself a proper manicure!" Three shot back. "If you ask me, the goop from the goop launcher would have been an improvement to your nails!" Five gasped and angrily shoved her fingernails into Three's face.

"I'll have you know that I spent hours adding these cute little panda faces to my nails!" she growled.

"Those were wasted hours you could have spent working on your face! " Three replied with a sassy smirk.

"How would you like my foot to work on your-" Five began.

"You two!" Kokichi hissed. "This is no time for one of your petty parties! Let's keep moving!" Seven peeked from around a corner and tugged on Kokichi's sleeve.

"Hey, boss, there's a security guard coming our way," she said. Himiko peeked from behind another corner and tiptoed quickly over to Kokichi.

"Nyeh...there's one coming from this way, too!" she whispered frantically. "We're trapped!" Kokichi swiftly looked around for someplace to hide. He spied a vent right above them.

"Five, give me a boost," he commanded. Five crouched down, allowing Kokichi climb onto her back. She lifted him up, and he was able to pull the grating off the vent before climbing inside. He peered back out. "Seven, you next. Then, Himiko, and Three." Five lifted each of the other girls up before helping Five into the vent. Kokichi closed the vent just as the security guards entered the area. As soon as they left, Kokichi pulled out his walkie-talkie.

"Two, we're in the vents of the marine life area," he said. "We're near the entrance of the building. Which way to the penguins?"

"Hmm...keep going straight until you come across two paths," Two explained. "There's one that leads right, and another that goes left. Take the right path. From there, keep going straight until you come across a dead end. The penguins should be right below you."

"Understood," Kokichi said, crawling his way past the girls to the front. "C'mon, girls." They followed Kokichi down the route that Two instructed him to go. Finally, they came across the penguin area.

"Nyeh...Kokichi, this vent is right above the emperor penguin enclosure!" Himiko whispered excitedly. "That's where Pinkwin is!"

"Well, that's pretty convenient," Kokichi replied. Then, he gave Himiko a strange look. "Wait...Pinkwin?"

"Yeah...that's what I decided to name him," Himiko said, twiddling her fingers.

"Why?" Seven asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because, well...it's a long story," Himiko said.

"You can tell us later, babe," Kokichi assured. "Three, hand me the rope."

"Uh...heh, heh, heh...about that rope," Three giggled sheepishly. Kokichi sighed.

"You didn't bring it," he muttered.

"I'm sorry! I forgot, okaaaay?" Three pouted.

"Hmhmhm...I guess instead of making fun of me for spending hours on my nails, you should try spending hours remembering to bring rope next time," Five remarked with a smug grin.

"Keep talking, I got knuckles with your name on them," Three said, waving her fist in Five's face.

   "Cut it out!" Kokichi ordered.

"Sorry, boss," Three and Five answered abashedly. Kokichi removed his scarf and cape.

"Five, you're good at tying knots," he said. "I want you to tie my cape with all of our scarves to make a makeshift rope."

"On it!" Five said. She, Three, and Seven removed their scarves, and Five began tying all of them together. "Done!" she whispered triumphantly.

"Great," Kokichi said, tying the makeshift rope around his waist. "You guys lower me into the-"

"W-Wait!" Himiko interrupted. Kokichi looked at her.

   "What's wrong?" he asked.

"I should be the one to do that, since Pinkwin will recognize me," Himiko said. Kokichi put his hand on Himiko's shoulder.

"You sure?" he asked. Himiko nodded. "Okay, then." Kokichi untied the rope from around his waist and began tying it around Himiko's, tugging it to make sure it was secure. He then patted Himiko's shoulder. "Good luck, babe." Himiko nodded silently. Kokichi, Three, Five, and Seven began lowering Himiko into the emperor penguin enclosure. The adult penguins were huddled together, sleeping. The only one standing alone was Pinkwin, shivering in the cold.

"Psst...Pinkwin!" Himiko whispered. Pinkwin opened his eyes and looked at Himiko. Startled, he backed away making tiny, fearful squeaking sounds. Himiko lifted her mask just a little. "Pinkwin...it's me!" A smile spread across Pinkwin's face, and he waddled his way over to Himiko. Himiko scooped him up in his arms. She then gestured to the others to lift her up. "Nyeh...I got him!" she exclaimed triumphantly.

"Awww...he's so cute!" Three gushed, tickling Pinkwin's belly. Kokichi held up his walkie talkie.

"Two, we've got him," he said. "Tell Ten to bring the car around. We're getting out of here." He then turned to the girls. "Let's get moving!" They scrambled quickly, yet quietly, through the vent. Once they exited the vent, they began tiptoeing back out of the marine life building. They made it through the reptile and bird enclosure without hassle. However...

"Hey!" shouted a security guard from behind them.

"Run!" Kokichi said. They dashed through the monkey and apes enclosure, and through the big cats enclosures.

"Freeze! Hands up where I can see them!" yelled a security guard, who was blocking their path and pointing his gun at them. Kokichi and the girls halted, lifting up their hands. As Kokichi lifted his hands, he grabbed the goop launcher from Seven and shot at the guard's hands. "AAAUUUGHHHH!!!" the guard shouted in alarm. The goop hardened around his hands, as well as the gun. Kokichi and the girls ran past him. "Waaaiiiit!! Stay theeeere!" the guard whined as tears streamed from his eyes. Ten drove the car up in time just as Kokichi and his female cohorts reached the entrance. They threw themselves into the car.

"Step on it, Ten!" Kokichi commanded. Ten jammed down on the gas, and the car sped out of sight. "Let's swing by GameSlop and pick up the others."

"Yoouuu got it, boss!" Ten replied.

"Nine, we're headed your way," Kokichi said through his walkie-talkie. "Are you guys ready?"

"Indeed," Nine replied. "We also snagged some consoles, too."

"Niiiice! Alrighty, see you then!" Kokichi replied. Behind them, they could hear sirens. "Uh-oooh! Blue boys on our six! Evasive action, Ten!" Ten sped ahead and turned a corner. He backed into a dark alleyway and waited for the cops to pass by. When the coast was clear, he drove out of the alleyway and in the opposite direction towards GameSlop. Ten stopped briefly at the entrance as Four, Six, Eight, and Nine jumped into the trunk before speeding off again towards D.I.C.E. headquarters.
