Fairy Godgirlfriend (Fairytale AU) (4)

"Ah...ah...oookay...that happened, and that totally wasn't boring," Kokichi said with wide eyes full of disbelief. Himiko curtsied elegantly.

   "Nyeh...thank you!" she said.

"What...why...how did you..." Kokichi stammered, trying to find the right words. He paused to gather his thoughts before taking a deep breath. "Okay, first of all, what's a...fairy godgirlfriend?? "

"Have you ever heard of a fairy godmother?" Himiko asked.

"Um...yeah," Kokichi replied with a shrug. "She's some witch who appears out of nowhere and helps Cinderella get ready for the ball. So what?"

"First of all, she's not a witch!" Himiko scolded. "Second of all, I basically play the role of the fairy godmother, only I'm here to keep you company in your time of loneliness and sadness! Yaaaay!"

"I'm not sad or lonely!" Kokichi huffed, crossing his arms. Himiko gave him a sleepy smile.

"Nyeh...don't be in denial if you can't swim," she said. Kokichi raised his brow, unimpressed with her joke.

"I'm not in denial," he said. "Besides, do I look like someone who's sad and lonely?" He held up his hand to her. "Actually, don't answer that."

"Nyeh? If you're not sad or lonely, how come you wished on that star?" Himiko asked. Kokichi shot a look of bewilderment and panic at her.

"Who told you about that?!" he demanded testily.

"Nobody told me," Himiko answered. "You wished for a lifelong friend, and I was sent to help you."

   "Sent by who?!" Kokichi asked.

"The fairy godmother," Himiko answered. "She's the overseer of all the fairy godgirlfriends." Kokichi began smacking his face.

"I'm dreaming," he muttered. "Wake up! Wake up! This isn't real! This is not real! It's kinda cool, but it's not...real!

"H-Hey! Don't do that! You'll hurt yourself!" Himiko said, grabbing Kokichi's hand to stop him. Kokichi yanked his hand back in alarm.

"Augh! Get away from me!" he shrieked. Himiko slightly backed away.

"This is real," she said. "You wished for a friend and you have me!"

"Yeah, a friend, not a girlfriend! " Kokichi exclaimed. "I just want someone who'll tag along with me and help me play pranks on people and stuff!"

"That's what I'm here for," Himiko replied with a sleepy, yet cheerful, shrug. Kokichi raised a brow at her.

"So, you don't mind doing that?" he asked. "Playing pranks on people, I mean."

"As your fairy godgirlfriend, it's my duty to tend to your every whim," Himiko explained. "Whatever your wish may be, I will grant it!" A devious grin formed across Kokichi's face.

   "Is that so?" he replied.

"Nyeh...there are rules, of course," Himiko added, feeling a little unsettled by Kokichi's smile.

"Uuuggghhh...whyyyyyy?" Kokichi groaned, tossing his head back in frustration.

"To keep everyone safe," Himiko explained. She waved her wand, and a thick book appeared out of thin air. The heavy book fell right into Himiko's arms, causing her to fall under its enormous weight.

"OOF!" she squeaked. Kokichi laughed at her.

"Ooooo...you so clumsy, girl!" he teased. "Gotta be more careful there, Himiko!"

"Nyeeeeh...maybe if you'd...help me up...I would be..." Himiko grunted, straining under the book's weight. Still laughing, Kokichi took the book and waited for her to stand up.

"That's a pretty big book," he said, handing her the book as she dusted herself off.

"Well, there's lots of rules," Himiko pointed out, grabbing the book and flipping through its pages. "If you ever wish something, and I can't grant it, it's most likely because the rules are interfering with your wish." She then closed the book and poofed it away.

"You're...not going to read them to me right now?" Kokichi asked.

"We can read them at anytime," Himiko answered, waving her hand dismissively. Kokichi smiled.

"Niiiiice!" he said. "Sounds like you're not as boring as I thought you were gonna be!"

"Heeeey!" Himiko pouted. Then, she hung her head. "Nyeh...maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all," she mumbled to herself.

"Huh? What wasn't such a good idea after all?" Kokichi asked curiously. Himiko looked up at him and shook her head.

"Oh...nothing, nothing, never mind," she responded. Then, she tried her best to put on a cheerful smile. "So, um, Kokichi Ouma...tell me about yourself."

"To start off, you can just call me Kokichi," Kokichi said. "I'm also the supreme leader of an evil, secret organization with 10,000 plus members!"

"Gosh! That doesn't sound very pleasant!" Himiko exclaimed. Kokichi grinned mischievously as he placed his hands behind his back and began to circle around her.

"I'm also..." he paused to make things more dramatic. "...a liar," he finished.

"Oh, my! S-So...you lied about being a supreme leader of an evil, secret organization?" Himiko asked.

"Nope! That part's true!" Kokichi replied with a cheeky grin.

"Ugh...w-well...which part's the lie?!" Himiko stammered.

"Nee-heehee...you tell me, Miss Magical Girl," Kokichi teased. Himiko's face became filled with uncertainty. An awkward silence lingered between them in the room, making Kokichi shift his weight uncomfortably. "Well, gee, try to contain your excitement, why don't you?" he joked.

"Nyeh? I-I'm not excited," Himiko answered hesitantly. "Well, I mean, I guess I am excited to meet you, since...I'm your fairy godgirlfriend, and all...haha."

"Well, if you're gonna be hanging around me a lot, you should definitely understand sarcasm," Kokichi said. "Also, I hope you're into pranks because I pull a lot of 'em." Himiko nodded.

"Okay...I'll do my best to satisfy you as much as possible in any way I can," she replied. Kokichi gave her a baffled look.

"That's an odd way of putting it," he muttered. "Do you really mean that? Are fairy godgirlfriends, or whatever, supposed to grant any wish no matter what, as long as whoever they're serving follows the rules?"

"Yup! It's all done so that whoever we're serving can make the most important wish," Himiko explained. Kokichi blinked quizzically at her.

"What's the most important wish?" he asked her.

"Well...I can't tell you," Himiko admitted with an apologetic shrug before giving him a small, shy smile. "But...you'll know it when you feel it." Her smile faltered a little. "Nyeh...if  you ever feel it."
