I went back to my office to continue my project when I heard a knock on my door..

London:Come in!..

The door slowly opened and it was Damien and he looked a little bit annoyed just as he did before..

London:(Stands up from her chair)..Miguel I don't like that you're showing me this attitude..if you're gonna do it then not near me or where I am...you can leave please..

I turned around to go back to my seat when he suddenly held my hand..and I don't know why but it immediately reminded me of when we were younger that Damien would always grab my hand when I tried to go..and I closed my eyes and sighed as I remembered that memory..

Damien:London I need to talk to you..please..

I looked back at him and he gave me a worried look and then I decided to hear him out by turning to him and crossing my arms with my lips pressed on each other..

London:Ok..well talk..

Damien:London there's something I need to tell you about Armando..

My eyes widened as he spoke..what could he possibly want to tell me about that man..I leaned closer to him to listen and as he wanted to speak..Mace suddenly burst in with a corsage and a bouquet of roses..

Damien then growled angrily and rolled his eyes and Mace just gave him the deadliest glare..I noticed the tension between the two of them and I decided to break the silence..

London:Mace couldn't you at least knock..

Mace:I'm sorry..I was just really excited to give you this flowers and I know how much you love withering red roses so I decided to get you a whole bunch of them..

London:Thank you..that's really sweet of you..(Collects the roses)..

Damien then excused himself and left while giving Mace the stink eye and Mace smirked at him feeling proud..and seeing Mace's proud face made me angry..

London:Stop taunting Miguel..

Mace:He's the one that started it and besides it's not a competition..When I already have the prize..(Smirks)..

London:So I'm a prize now that you can just win...

Mace:No I mean that in a good way...

London:And..whatever you're thinking about Miguel isn't true..he doesn't have feelings for me..(Looks down)..

Mace then looked at me in confusion and chuckled..

Mace:When did I say that?..

I turned my attention back to Mace in shock realising that he didn't even have that idea in mind and it was so awkward and embarrassing then I subtly changed the topic and mentioned that Jenila was crushing on Damien and then Mace laughed..

Mace:Yeah..I noticed that she gets nervous when she's around him..it's an obvious sign she likes him..she should talk to him more..

London:Well she's trying...but..he..

Mace:Always finds a way to locate you..

Mace looked annoyed and pissed after he said that and he just looked up at the ceiling and shook his head while scoffing..

London:What do you mean by that..he's my best friend..

Mace:No arguments..he is your best friend but don't you think he's trying to get too close..

As much as I didn't want to admit it..Mace was kind of right..Damien was acting a bit strange around me..and thinking deeply about it just confused me the more..and then Mace snapped his fingers in front of my face and I instantly snapped out of my daydream...

Mace:Don't think too much about it..he's just missing you after a long time..

London:Yeah..

Mace:Anyways wanna see what I got you in this corsage..

London:Sure..

Mace then slowly opened the corsage and my jaw dropped it was a 24 karat silver rhinestone necklace with my name deeply imprinted in it..

I held my mouth in shock and squealed in joy and then Mace decided to try the necklace on me and I hugged him tight..

London:Oh man!Thanks it's so pretty..

Mace:(Smiles)..Just like you..and since couples day is coming soon I thought why not give you this as a gift..

London:Oh man..seriously I didn't even know and I didn't get you anything..

Mace:That's ok..

London:But I'll make it up to you..we can go out again sometime and this time..I'll pick the place..

Mace:That's even better than receiving a materialistic gift..I can't wait..

London:(Giggles)..

I stared at him for a while admiring how happy he looked and then he noticed my gaze and decided to lean in closer to the point that our faces were a few inches away from each other..

I closed my eyes as he came closer and then my phone rang and I saw that it was aunt paloma..and I slowly backed away from him..

London:Oh uh..Mace..I need to go..my aunt's been waiting for me..

Mace:Sure..and thank you so much for giving me your time I really appreciate it..and thanks for accepting the gifts as well..

London:Your welcome handsome..(Blushes)..

Mace then hugged me before I left and suddenly I heard a loud thunder sound and it immediately started to rain outside and I quickly brought out my umbrella to go outside..

Then as I went out..my umbrella flew away due to the intense and strong wind and because of the fog I couldn't find it and as I was looking for it..I suddenly held someone and I realized that it was Damien..

London:Did you perhaps see my umbrella Miguel?..I want to leave but I can't find it..

Damien:Come with me..

London:Hey..

Damien then pulled me to a place behind the building..and we were both soaked with rain water..

London:Why are you acting so strange?..What is it?..

Damien:London what I wanted to tell you was..Armando's my Dad and Mace is my step brother...

I stared at Damien in confusion trying my best to see him in the rain and hear what he was saying and then he spoke more..

Damien:Yes..I'm the illegitimate son of Armando de la cruz..

The rain was so loud and heavy that I couldn't hear or see anything..

London:Huh..what did you say..I can't hear you in this rain!..We'll talk tommorow ok..

I left without looking back and Damien sighed in disbelief before walking away..
