Slowly the door opened and then I hit Mace to hide under the sheets while I use the duvet to cover myself..Thank hell! It was only Natasha the maid and not some kind of spy of Armando's..She looked at me in confusion as to why I was so covered up and then I just lied and told her that I usually sleep without clothes on..and then she spoke..

Natasha:Ok..so where's Mr De la Cruz?..he came here to talk to you..and he's not in his office room upstairs either..I wanted to give him his files that were sent by his recruiter Mr Garry..

London:Oh well..you see Natasha..Mace just left a few minutes ago before you came..he was here..but then he left..

Nataha:Are you serious Miss London?..He's not here either?..

London:That's what I said..maybe he's outside..it is a big house after all..

Natasha:Yes you're probably right..I'll go check other places..

London:Yes you should..

Natasha:Ok..Miss London I'll take your leave now..

London:Yeah bye..

Natasha left the room and then Mace sprung out of the sheets breathing heavily..

Mace:That was a dreadful experience..I could hardly breathe..

London:Yeah sorry..but Natasha is going to look for you so..you better put your shirt back on and leave immediately before she finds out that you were here all along..

Mace:Yeah true..

Mace put on his shirt with lightening speed and I couldn't help but feel a little aroused by how hot he looked doing it..but then I shook my head sideways and brushed the thoughts away and when he finally left the room I got a call from Damien..

London:Hi Miguel..

Damien:El..how do you feel now?..I was so worried about you..you seemed so upset..

London:Just a little bit upset..but I'm ok now..

Damien:Are you sure?..

London:Totally..

Damien:I looked for you everywhere and you were not in your office so I just thought you went back home early..

London:Well..sort of..actually I had an accident and luckily Mace reached the scene in time and brought me to his house instead..

Damien went quiet for a while and I was confused as of why then he responded normally after a minute..

Damien:Oh well..that's good as long as you're ok..I'm ok..

London:Yeah thanks..

Damien:But tell me more..what happened?..

London:Well actually..I was preparing to go home and my car was at the  mechanic's so I had no choice but to walk since no cabs were available and then I was attacked by thugs and it got quite violent and I got stabbed in the process while trying to protect Mace..

Damien:Oh my God! El..why did you..you didn't have to do that..you risked your own life by taking that step..and he's the man..he should have protected you!..

London:Miguel..why are you getting so infuriated?..I only helped him out and he came to my rescue..he was putting one of them down when the other was about to stab him and we both didn't realise it that's why I took such a drastic step..so don't blame Mace..he isn't at fault for what happened..he did what he could..

Damien:Alright I won't blame him..but as long as you're perfectly fine I won't worry too much..

London:Yes thank you..

Damien:El..yes I wanted to talk to you about Armando..

London:Oh..uh..Tell me..

Damien:Well you see..he paid some..

Before he could begin there were loud noises of police sirens and I couldn't hear properly and then the signal was lost due to bad weather and the call ended abruptly and then my phone died..

London:How great!..What will I do now?..Maybe I should meet Mace he will help me..

I wore my nightgown and went to where Mace was and there he was drinking some coffee and glued to his laptop..of course Typical Mace De la Cruz..Then he instantly sensed my presence and turned to me..

Mace:Oh..Mami you're here..

London:Don't you think it's too cold outside..

I wrapped my hands around myself as I walked up to him shivering then Mace brought out a cozy warm black wool jacket and put it around me and I instantly felt better then he asked me to complete what I wanted to say..

London:Well actually my phone just died and I was on a call with someone..and due to the weather condition there is no signal too..

Mace:Nothing that I can't fix..Give me your phone..

I gave my phone to Mace and then he plugged it to a glowing neon socket and the power instantly came back on and was working even with the bad signal and the harsh weather..

London:Oh wow..that's so lit! You're a life saver..thanks

Mace:You're welcome Mami..well that reminds me I wanted to show you something on my laptop..

I sat down next to him as he scrolled pictures of different and lavish looking restaurants on his laptop and I was extremely confused as of why he was showing me this..

Mace:Well..London what do you think?..

London:Yeah they're nice..

Mace:Perfect place for a date right?..

As he continued to scroll them..one picture caught my eye and the place looked extremely familiar like I've been there before..It was a red and gold setting  with rose gold chairs and golden cutlery with a full classic music band on the stage and I just stared at the picture completely lost and confused then by looking at it deeply it gave me a clue..and then I told Mace that I needed to use the restroom just to access the big library in the mansion..

London:I'll be back..(Leaves)..

Mace:But you didn't say anything..(Sighs)..When she gets back I guess..

(London's phone rings..

Mace:(Picks it up)..It's Damien..why is he calling her by this time?..(Answers the call)..

Damien:Hello..El I wanted to tell you that I heard Armando talking to some wierd looking guys when he left the office today and he gave them a huge sum of money to carry out a secret task and I strongly think they are the same thugs that attacked you..

Mace:What!..

Damien:Mace?..Is that you?..What are you doing with London's phone where is she?..

Mace:Wait what did you say?..my Dad paid some criminals to attack London..

Damien:Oh sh*t..well Mace to be honest I strongly believe it and they're wanted criminals in Mexico as well..

Mace:Dad did not just cross the line!..well how are you so sure?..

Damien:He specifically said her name to them and showed them a picture on his phone..and the same day she was attacked..so it's very possible..

Mace:He's gonna regret it!..how dare he try to harm my girlfriend!..I'm gonna put him in his place once and for all..(Ends the call and throws the phone on the ground)..
