I listened closely to aunt as she told me a short story from my childhood..And she said that the bracelet was my mom's and that she handed it down to me but then later on I had lost it..Then I asked her about why a stranger will have it and she just froze and then smiled faintly at me..

Aunt paloma:You'll see..

London:Aunt I don't understand anything..why are you being so secretive..what's going on..

Aunt paloma:London be patient..Think rationally and be slow when making decisions that's all I'll tell you..

She then carried her bag and went to work and I just sat there totally confused..Now I know she's definitely hiding something from me..But like she said she wants me to find out on my own..Then so be it.I will know who DC really is..

Mace:Kraig..

Kraig:Yes sir..

Mace:Are the papers ready yet?..

Kraig:No sir..they're being shipped from Thailand..and some of your associates are busy with your Dad so they're not ready yet..

Mace:Oh I see..Just make sure it's here before Monday ok..

Kraig:Sure sir.(Walks away)..

Jenila:Mace..

Mace:Oh hello..Jenila how are you?..

Jenila:I'm doing fine sir and you?..

Mace:Well..I'm restless..

Jenila:Yeah..your eyes look brighter than before like you haven't slept..

Mace:Believe me Jenila I'm fine nothing too serious..so what's the issue?..

Jenila:Well..I got a call from the telephone..from Miss Mileena the fashion critic..

Mace:Oh..well..what did she say?..

Jenila:She said her anniversary is in a week so she wants London to start designing her set piece..

Mace:Ok..no problem..have you informed London?..

Jenila:Um..she's not here yet..

Mace:How's that possible..it's already 9 AM in the morning she never comes after 8..like ever..

Jenila:That's the main reason I came to you..sir..she hasn't been answering my calls..I just hope she's doing fine..

Mace:Ok..do this..go continue your work..I'll wait..if the time passes 10 AM I'll go look for her..

Jenila:What if she's busy?..You know with other things..

Mace:You know London never claims busy for any other thing apart from work..Right?..

Jenila:I know Mace..but what if she's stressed or tired and decided to stay home..

Mace:You're probably right..But we have to call to find out..we don't know anything yet..

Jenila:I'll try again..

Mace:Please do..(Whispers to himself) Mi bebita I hope you're ok..

Jenila:Don't worry she's fine..

(Meanwhile..

I drove to that same spot I had found the bracelet and I got out of my car and squatted on the ground and stared at it when I heard a manly voice from far away and as I got up with hesitation and turned around.I was in complete shock when I realised that no one was there..then I walked around to try and see if anyone was around and..then I saw someone go behind a cement barricade and as I turned to check behind the thick barricade someone tapped my shoulder..and I turned in fright..

London:Oh Mace it's you..wait how did you find me?..

Mace:I had a super strong feeling you would be here..and what are you looking for anyway?..

I looked around in thought that someone was indeed hiding..then Mace turned my face gently to face him and I got lost in his deep blue eyes..and I could feel that we were being watched but I chose to ignore it..

Mace:Are you ok?..You're not acting like yourself..

London:Well you..see I lost something here..so I'm trying to find it..It's really important to me..

Mace:Oh I see..

London:I apologise for being late today..it was unintentional..I was just restless..about finding something..

I looked around once again in expectation of seeing the person but no luck then I turned my attention back to Mace..

London:Nevermind..let's go..I'll follow you from behind in my car..

Mace:Ok..

As we left I turned back to see whether the person was around but it seemed like the person left already and I became even more curious to know who this DC guy was..Later on,we reached the office and Jenila gave me a warm hug before asking me why I didn't show up early like I always do and I instantly told her the reason then she hugged me once again before telling me the best news ever..

London:Wow already..she wants me to start designing her set piece..that's amazing..

Jenila:I knew you would be elated about it..The anniversary is in a week so you have no time to waste..

London:Honestly..well you'll help me right..

Jenila:Yes of course..what are friends for..

London:Thank you..

Mace:Excuse me ladies..A very important guest just arrived..

London:Ok..

Mace left to see the guest and I was still talking to Jenila when Mace also called her for an important task and I could see from afar there were a lot of business executives but one stood out..although I could see only his back..something just seemed unique about him..He was tall about 6 ft 4 like Mace and he had dirty blonde hair that was silky like that of a model's and he was in a velvet dark blue suit.His hands were in his pockets and Mace was in front of him talking and surprisingly Jenila looked like a lovesick puppy that had been shot by a cupid's arrow..She just drooled at the guy..Then I walked slowly towards them to get a better look of the guy..and then Mace called me to introduce the guy to me..and then he turned to me and I was stunned..I couldn't believe my eyes..Wait a minute isn't this the same guy that wrote to me yesterday and gave me that bracelet..the same guy that sent me those messages and used an unknown number to get in contact with me..he was standing right in front of me..And he looked so familiar I remembered everything instantly..He was my childhood best friend and I left the town where we stayed and that's how we lost touch..I realised it all now..and I felt so relieved and relaxed and I felt tears well up in my eyes as I stared at him then Mace introduced him but I finished his sentence because I already knew his name..He was.."Damien..Damien Cortez"..I said totally lost..And Mace and everyone else stared at me in confusion..then he laughed and said it's probably because he's famous then I shook my head sideways and ran towards Damien and hugged him and he twirled me around as we hugged..He looked so happy to see me and then he said he missed me and I said the same as well and we both hugged again in happy tears and Mace just smiled at us and then cleared his throat and we both slowly let go of each other..

Mace:You both know each other?..

London:(Snuffles)..Yeah..he's Damien my childhood best friend..I've known him since I was born..

Mace:Oh..best friend..

I noticed Mace seemed a little confused and slightly jealous..

Damien:I knew I would find you El..It was only a matter of time..Now you're standing right in front of me..and I must say you are even more beautiful..(Kisses her hand)..

London:Thank you Miguel..

Mace:Hold on a second..El and miguel?..Who are you two talking about?..

Damien:Oh well you see..I call her El because of her middle name Mariel..

London:And I call him Miguel because that's his middle name and he's just like an angel..

We smiled at each other and Mace was a little pissed at our affection towards each other..

Jenila:Oh my gosh London you're totally right he is an angel..But a fallen angel.What a devil.(Giggles)..I must say London your friend is real easy on the eyes..

Damien:(Chuckles)..Who's your friend here..

London:She's Jenila..she's my colleague and my friend as well..

Damien then extended his hand to shake Jenila's and she almost melted as she touched his..and we both laughed at her excitement except for Mace though he just smiled faintly and I felt a little bit bad..

London:Say..uh..Mace how do you know Miguel?..

Mace:(Clears throat)..Well..He's close to my Dad..he's been in partnership with him for a year while they were in Thailand and I met him some months ago and we became good friends ever since then..

London:That's really nice..it's good you both know each other..

Damien:I agree El..Me being close to him..Is like me being close to you as well..

I felt Mace look at Damien with his eyes narrowed and then he came close to me and put his arm around me..

Mace:We're all good..and your El here is my girlfriend..

Damien looked at Mace dispassionately and there was an awkward silence..and It made me feel good..
