Bedridden

"Bartholomew Henry Allen! If you leave this bed one more time, I swear I will break both your legs so you stay put!"

Barry promptly sped back to the med bay bed and sat down, genuinely fearing Caitlin's threat.

"You need to rest." Caitlin scolded, "Not only have you way overexerted yourself, but you're also malnourished and wounded! Speaking of which, why haven't you been eating enough?"

Barry looked down, "I just keep forgetting..."

"Cause you're always out running." Caitlin finished.

Caitlin shook her head, "I am not allowing you to run for three days."

Barry's head snapped up, "What!?"

"You heard me," Caitlin said, putting her hands on her hips, "No running. Three days. And for at least half that time, you are confined to this bed."

"Caitlin!" Barry protested.

"That is final."

Barry huffed and sat back against the wall.

"You need to take care of yourself Barry," Caitlin whispered, "Central City can survive without the Flash for three days."

***** LINE BREAK *****

Barry was bored out of his mind.

He honestly didn't think it was possible to be this bored.

Caitlin was out and Cisco was working. Joe was also working. So Barry was booooored.

Suddenly the meta alert went off. Barry grinned. He could be back before Caitlin even knew he was gone!

Then his phone rang and he saw it was Caitlin. He winced and picked up the phone.

"Hey Caitlin. What's up?"

"I told Cisco to alert my phone when the meta alert went off. Don't even think about getting out of that bed."

Barry groaned, "Well I thought about it, but now I won't. When will you be back? Or can you at least send someone over? I dying of boredom!"

"Stop being so dramatic. I'll be over soon and Cisco is almost finished too, so we can have a movie night or something."

Barry smiled, "Sounds good."

Caitlin hung up, and Barry went back to being bored. He pulled out his phone and started to listen to some music, happily singing along since no one was there to listen.

He had just finished singing along to Glad You Came, when he heard a quiet "no way."

He looked up and turned a deep scarlet when he saw Cisco and Caitlin standing there.

"Told you he could sing," Caitlin said smugly.

"Yeah, and now I believe you," Cisco said, "Dude. That is one hell of a voice."

"Yeah, shut up. What movie should we watch?"

"Well what do you want to watch?" Caitlin asked.

Barry thought for a minute, "A little bit of everything."

Cisco grinned and nodded. "Princess Bride?" He asked.

"Princess Bride." Barry confirmed.

(Honestly one of the greatest movies ever made. You can't change my mind.)

Caitlin shrugged, "Never seen it."

The boys gasped dramatically and clutched their hearts.

"No!" Cisco said.

"This needs to be fixed." Barr declared. He shifted to the side and patted the space next to him, "Sit, Cait. And witness one of mankind's finest creations."

"You two are so dramatic," Caitlin said, grinning and snuggling next to Barry.

Cisco set up the movie and got everyone popcorn. He then curled up in a small ball at his friends' feet.

"See," Caitlin said, "Bed rest isn't so bad."

"I still strongly disagree," Barry said, "But right now, yeah. It's not so bad,"
