Let Me Introduce

Chapter 9

Let Me Introduce

GCPD HQ

Superman had been waiting in an office at the GCPD HQ. He was told by Lieutenant Jim Gordon to wait in a room fifteen minutes ago. Gordon opened the door.

"Lawton isn't talking." Gordon told him. "I don't know why, I tried all my methods for interrogating."

"Let me have a shot at it," Superman said.

"But sir, I can't let you do that. You don't have a badge." Gordon informed him.

"Really? I'm Superman." Superman said. Then Gordon rethought about his decision.

"Fine, go in there and get information." Lt. Gordon commanded.

Superman walked into the interrogation room. "Hello," he said. He flipped over the table Deadshot was sitting in front of. "Who do you work for?" Superman interrogated.

"I don't answer to you," Deadshot replied.

"Now you do!" Superman shot his Heat Vision at one of the legs of Deadshot's chair.

Deadshot and his chair fell over on the concrete ground. Deadshot felt the pain as the ground scraped his face. He was already injured, although he didn't want to take anymore injuries, he knew he had to.

"You think you scare me, I know you don't kill." Deadshot must've knew that Superman didn't kill, or at least he knew Superman tried not to. Deadshot was still lying on the floor. "Anyways Superman, if you even try to kill me, Gordon will stop you."

Superman raged out the door. He sent it flying across the hallway where he saw Lieutenant Gordon grab onto his arm. "Superman, I don't think you should strike fear into criminals' hearts. That's what the Batman does and he's not a good man. You should inspire, not scare." Gordon informed him.

Superman calmed down. "You know what? You're right."

"I think you'll be a better hero if you're more of an inspiration for good, not an inspiration for darkness. I respect you Superman. I know what happened in Metropolis wasn't your fault." Lt. Gordon said.

"You're the first one to say that, Lieutenant." Superman said. A bald man walked in through the entrance.

"Great, out guest is here. He's as interested in stoping the Batman as us." Lt. Gordon stated. "Superman, I would like to introduce you to, presidential candidate, Lex Luthor."

"It's nice to meet you Superman," Lex put his hand out, expecting Superman to shake it, and he did. "I am the interim General of Metropolis due to General Swanwick's disappearance."

Lex Luthor's diabolical plan was just about to begin.
