Party Time!

Chapter 13

Party Time!

Wayne Manor

It had been seven hours since the start of the party and about two hundred people had showed up. Clark and Lois were still there waiting for their interview and Bruce Wayne was drunk. He had drunk too much red wine (Apple cider). But Bruce's playboy attitude impression was working; no one knew that the red wine was actually just apple cider. Bruce was walking around pretending to be dizzy and drunk. He was running into people and objects like tables and countertops.

Then he ran into Clark Kent. Clark asked, "Mr. Wayne, are we still doing the interview?"

"Yes, just because I'm dizzy doesn't mean I can't answer questions." Bruce said rudely.

"Are you sure?" Clark asked.

"Yes! You wanted to ask me questions so get your partner and ask me some!" Bruce yelled drunkly.

"Ok, ok, just calm down Mr. Wayne." Clark said, "Lois! Get over here; we're going to start the interview!"

Lois was sitting down on a red chair drinking Cougar Wine. When she heard Clark she rushed over to him.

"Let's start the interview." Bruce said dizzily.

"How do you think Gotham can improve it's crime rate?" Lois asked. Lois was the interrogator and Clark took notes.

"If Gotham can get a better Police Commissioner than Commissioner Loeb, their law enforcement would be better. Better law enforcement, better Crime Rate." Bruce said.

"What do you think about Batman? Do you think Gotham needs him?" Lois asked.

"I think we don't know him yet. I think if we get to know him better we'll like him and trust him. If you look at the crime rates in Gotham, you'll see that ever since Batman emerged, the rates went down," Bruce said.

"Ok, Clark got that noted?" Lois asked. Clark nodded. Then Lois continued, "Who are you going to vote for? Oswald Cobblepot? Roman Sionis? Or Quincy Sharp?"

"Probably Quincy Sharp," Bruce said. He was pretending to get dizzy again.

"Why are you voting for him?" Lois asked.

"Because he's the only one who's running that doesn't have a criminal record." Bruce chuckled, "This is another thing Gotham has to work on, not letting criminals run for mayor!" Bruce said, "We're so desperate for a mayor to put things in order, we don't look at if the candidate is going to what we need. He or she might just do what they need."

"Ok, thank you Mr. Wayne for the interview." Lois said. The interview was short like was supposed to be.

"You're very welcome." Bruce said, "Stay as long as you want. The party had just begun!"

Bruce wanted to keep Lois and Clark there so he could investigate if Clark was Superman. Bruce got out of his pocket a small one millimeter tracking device and slipped it under Clark's clothes where he saw blue peeking out. Bruce walked over to Diana and said, "Keep our guest entertained for a little bit, I'm going to go "downstairs."

"Ok, but why?" Diana asked.

"I think Superman showed up to the party." Bruce signaled Diana to Clark.

"Why hasn't anyone else noticed that?" Diana said.

"Because everyone else is stupid. Now just keep them entertained." Bruce commanded, He walked up to the stage and spoke into the microphone, "How does everyone love the party?" The crowd cheered, "Well ok, I need to go and brew more wine downstairs, I'll be back in a few minutes. In the meantime, just keep partying!"

Diana walked up to Clark, "Hello, I'm Bruce's assistant, Diana Prince, he told me to asked the guests if enjoying they party."

"I am, this is the biggest party I've ever been too, by the way, I'm Clark Kent." Clark replied.

Lois walked over to him. "Who's this?"

"Oh, this is Diana Prince, Bruce's assistant." Clark said.

Bruce secretly got Diana's attention and gestured to her that he was going downstairs. "I better go, Bruce wants me."

After Diana left, Lois said, "I don't like her. "I'm going to follow her, she may know something about Wayne."

Bruce walked "downstairs" when Diana caught up to him. They didn't know Lois was following them. He used the handprint that he got from Clark when he shook his hand and put it on the high-tech computer. He tried to match it with the handprint of Superman he got in Metropolis when he was rebuilding a part of it. It matched. Now Bruce knew what Superman's identity was. But Bruce was not the only one who found out a secret identity, Lois had followed Bruce down in the Batcave, she knew Bruce was Batman.
