Nightwing

Chapter 7

Nightwing

Gotham Docks

The Gotham Docks, it was a historical fishing place, but now because of the downfall in Gotham's Police Department, it's a historical place for crooks and criminals to hide out now. The GCPD didn't take care and protect the Docks so now it belongs to the crime bangers of Gotham. Not in Batman's eyes though, in his eyes it's a place for hopping on prey. Because the cops wouldn't show up at The Docks anymore, it made it an easy job for Batman to stop crime.

Batman drove the car up to a a port where he saw a man holding sacks in his right hand. Batman and Wonder woman jumped out of the car where the confronted the robber.

"Drop the bags, I know who you are," Batman told the robber.

"Ok, who am I?" Asked the robber.

The robber wore a black trench coat. He had some that was unidentifiable hiding under the jacket near his wrists.

"You're Floyd Lawton, a.k.a Deadshot. You were once a member of the League of Assassins; you were a marksman for them. Now you're just a merc for hire."

"That's good but do you know what my favorite gun is? It's this one." Deadshot pointed his turret on his wrist at Batman.

He was going to shoot but something pounced on top of him. It was Nightwing! Nightwing was Batman's first crime fighting partner. Bruce adopted him as a kid after witnessing Nightwing's parents die as he, Dick Grayson was performing with them in their show, the Flying Graysons.

Batman grabbed Deadshot by the neck. Wonder Woman also grabbed her sword and pointed the end at the back of Deadshot's neck and tipped the sack over. Guns spilled out. Batman recognized the guns, a M4, Uzi, and a M24 fell out.

"What do you want with these guns? You own them already! What do you need with them?!" Batman interrogated.

"I don't answer to you." Deadshot spat at Batman's face.

"Wonder Woman; stick your sword deeper into his neck." She did. Blood dripped out of Lawton's neck.

"Again, why did you steal these guns?" Batman asked again, deeper and grittier. There was fear in Lawton's eyes now. "Good you're scared. You should be now answer my question."

"I - I do-n-n't - an- s- s- er to y-ou," shivered Deadshot. He wasn't used to the sword cutting his neck yet.

"Deeper Diana," The sword went deeper into his neck.

Deadshot yelped. He had to get used to the sword to talk. "Ok. Ok. I stole these guns to give it to my boss-" Deadshot couldn't finish.

"Who is your boss?!" Batman interrupted.

"Roman Sionis!" Deadshot weeped, he was scared.

"Ok. Take the sword out." Wonder Woman took her sword out of the neck. Batman put bandages on his neck and threw Deadshot into the water.

Batman grabbed Nightwing, who was standing behind him, by neck after. Then threw him on the floor. "Why are you here?!"

"Blüdhaven Police sent me," answered Nightwing.

"Tell Blüdhaven Police to stay out of my way!" Batman yelled.

"I was just trying to help you stop Deadshot!" Yelled Nightwing.

"Well you're not. Go back to Blüdhaven and stay there," commanded Batman, "Now get out of my site."

Nightwing fled. "You know you didn't have to be so mean to him right." Wonder Woman said.

"He deserves it." Batman replied. Batman knew he didn't deserve it. If anything Nightwing should've been in Batman's position.

Batman remembered how he and Nightwing got into an argument and how it got physical when Nightwing was still his sidekick. He and Batman got mad at each other because Nightwing didn't like the way he was still being treated like a sidekick. To Batman he was acting stubborn and stupid, but to Nightwing he thought he was being mistreated. Batman still hasn't forgotten that moment, and probably never will.
