"Must you do this every time?"

"Hm? Gotta problem with it?" he teased with a smirk.

"Not really... you just make me feel really short," you pouted.

"That's 'cause you are, shorty."

It was true. You barely reached Tsukishima's chest. This is what you get for dating a tall volleyball player. That was all on you.

The two of you were currently at a small bookshop. He's been so busy with practice and games, the two of you haven't gone out for a date in a while. Though you went to as many games as you could, you never had some alone time with him. And of course, he noticed it too.

Though it was his first relationship, and he had no idea what exactly a good boyfriend does, he wasn't stupid. So, he texted you and asked you to go out with him.

As of now, Tsukishima has been using your head as an arm rest as he was reading a book while you, too, were reading. You should've been used to it by now, but you still couldn't help feeling like a child.

"Hm... I finished reading," stated Tsukishima lazily.

"You wanna go to that new cafe that opened up across the ramen shop?"

"Sure."

After a seven minute walk, the two of you made it to the cafe.

"I'll pay," you said at the counter.

"Huh? Aren't guys supposed to pay for girls though?"

"Screw stereotypes. And~ think of it as a reward for working hard~"

He looked at you I surely but went with it nonetheless. "Alright. Whatever you say."

"Un~ now go find a seat."

"Yeah, yeah."

"You two make a very cute couple," said the old lady behind the counter.

"Ah. Is that so?"

She nodded her head. "That will be 1,572 yen."

"Hai~"

Now the two of you were walking to your house after your little snack.

"Did you like the food?"

"It was good," he replied. Though he was very nonchalant about it, you could tell he really liked it.

"Really? I hope you're happy with today~"

"Not quite," he replied.

"Eh? Why?" you asked as you stopped in your tracks.

He pulled you to a nearby corner without people and let go of your hand.

He pit both his hands on your waist and pulled you close.

You remained in his embrace for a while, savoring the warmth and comfort you could only get from him.

He pulled back and bent down to your height and gave you a long, heated kiss.

When he pulled back, he grabbed your hand again and briskly continued walking towards your house.

You, on the other hand, were dizzy and trying to recover.

When the two of you had reached your front door, you turned around to face him and gave him a peck on the cheek before turning back to unlock the door.

He tugged on your hand and looked at your face for a little bit as if he were engraving your features into his mind.

"I love you, Kei."

His eyes widened for a split second before coughing and then covering his mouth with his hand as he looked away.

"I have a game on Thursday," was all he said. "I'll see you later."

You looked at his retreating figure and when his silhouette disappeared, you ran inside your house screaming into a random pillow.

"Stupid... stupid me. Stupid tree," you grumbled. "Sometimes I don't get you... stupid Kei," you sighed with a smile.

Meanwhile...

"Hey, Kageyama. Wasn't that Tsukishima and--"

"OIOIOI. HOW'D THAT BASTARD GET A GIRL LIKE THAT," raged Nishinoya and Tanaka.

"Eh! Kageyama stopped breathing!!!" screamed Hinata. "OI!!!"
