LATER THAT SAME DAY

the students of Hogwarts retired to their room for a good and long sleep after a long and exciting day. Hermione and Beth had already fallen asleep while Celeste rolled from one side to another on her bed, feeling restless. Her mind was moving a thousand miles an hour, she thought about that disappointment of a memory potion and her stupid defense mechanism that appears to block her access to her past.Β

Celeste has never really cared about her past and especially when her parents died she thought that wanting to now would somehow offend her parents memory and legacy. But then luckily she has her uncle and Olivia, who assured that if she'd ever like to know; they would be there with her, every step of the way.

Celeste looked at the clock; three am in the morning and she hasn't fallen asleep yet. She could her the clock ticking like a time bomb waiting for to be exploded. She looked around and realized that the room has never looked darker than this night; she extended her arm forwards so see could see it, but all she could see was blackness, like her memory. After an hour Celeste was finally able to fall asleep after countless of tries and efforts.

Little four years old Celeste looked at her reflection from the window of the ice cream parlor as she took a spoonful of her favorite ice cream flavor. She observed the world on the other side the window; eager children running on the streets and getting ready for their first year at Hogwarts, their parents chasing after them, the autumn leafs falling from the trees making the fall looking so beautiful and elegant.

Celeste then stared at herself from her reflection; her blond lock were braided into to french braids, her lips were filled with brown ice cream and her eyes shined with the light. Oh how she loved spending her Friday's in the Diagon Alley, eating her favorite double fudge ice cream.

"Mama!" Celeste squealed. "I'm ready!" She beamed proudly and caught her mother's attention.

"Good, my little love," her mother said and kissed the top of her head, but just when little Celeste was about to turn her head towards the voice.....

"Mama?" Celeste sighed and opened her eyes.

Β She looked around and saw the dark room and heard her two friends breathing fast asleep. "It was a memory," she sighed.Β

She tried to fall asleep once again but it didn't work. She kept thinking about her dream; her younger self eating double fudge ice cream with her mother, that's why the flavor tasted so familiar, she has had it before. She recognized the street as Diagon Alley and the ice cream parlour as Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. But then who was the woman she called her 'mama'?Β

Is she really from here? And why are her memories are finally waking up? Those were the questions she thought for the rest of the night, without falling asleep, not even once.

The next morning, Celeste immediately sent a letter to her uncle. She explained her situation and her dream, her handwriting nearly impossible to read because her hand was shaking the whole time. It shaking out of excitement but also out of worry and fear.

Once she had finished her letter, it was time to wake Beth and tell her before heading to the common room where Nathan was already waiting for his friends.Β

"So you had a memory?" Nathan asked eagerly after Celeste had explained everything. "What was it like?"

"Well I was at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, eating double fudge ice cream and then I called 'mommy', a woman walked to me, I told her that I've finished, then she kissed the top of my head and said 'good, my little love'. But just when I was about to turn to se her, I woke up," Celeste told her friends, whom looked so excited and happy the Celeste's memory has started to return but she herself wasn't quite sure wether to be happy or sad.Β

She definitely was extremely excited that she started to remember things but sad as well for the fact that she never got to see her mother's face.

"Wow, that must've been intense," Beth said and squished her best friend's hand. "But I'm sure that you'll keep remembering and that you'll find out who you were."

"I agree with Beth. I'm positive that it will happen, maybe not tomorrow or next week, but it will," Nathan said.

"I really hope so," Celeste sighed and curled closer to Beth. "But if it won't work, I'm sure that then it's just meant to be. I've had a good life, if you don't count the fact that my parents died just two years after adopting me."

"You really are something Cele," Beth smiled.

"Apparently I am," Celeste laughed and quickly turned to look over her shoulder where she saw Luna. She happily smiled at the Lovegood girl and gestured her to come and sit with her and the others.

Luna accepted this invitation and sat down, shyly looking around. "Have you seen my shoes?" She asked and glanced at her feet which were bare.

THE AMERICAN TRIOΒ

was spending their late afternoon in the library ― which had become their favorite place to spend any time really. Celeste had her nose glued to an Astrology book while Beth was reading about different herbs and Nathan was writing an extra assignment.Β

"If I add this one..." said Beth and pointed at a picture of a herb. "To my tea, my skin should glow."

"Excuse me?" Chuckled Celeste, the information Beth had just given her was rather irrelevant. "Why are you thinking about that?"Β

Beth grinned. "Thought I could use it."

The blonde witch smiled widely at her friend before returning to her book. Celeste has always been interested in astrology. She thought it was interesting and maybe the fact that her name was Celeste had something to do with her love towards stars and things like that.Β

After an hour or so, walking footsteps emerged the ground of friends. Celeste was the first one to turn her head around and see the other trio whom didn't look as happy as the American trio. Celeste tapped Beth's shoulder and nodded her head towards the others.

"Hey, why do you three look like someone killed your cat?" Celeste asked and tried to lighten up the mood.

"Umm we need to ask you something," Hermione said and sat next to Nathan as Harry and Ron just stood near to them.

"Alright then, what is i? Is it serious?" Nathan asked and changed his look between everyone.

"We are part of Dumbledore's army," Harry said so fast that it was nearly impossible to understand what he had just said.

Celeste frowned at his words. "Can you repeat that? I didn't quite catch it."

"What Harry means to say is, that we are part of Dumbledore's army," Hermione said, her words clear and understandable.Β

"I'm sorry? Dumbledore's army? And what in Merlin's name is that?" Celeste asked.

"Well it's a secret organization to teach proper Defense Against the Dark Magic, which we invented," Harry explained. "Since Umbridge's arrival we don't get to learn anything about the subject so we've been meeting with some other students and trained by ourselves."

"I see, and what do you want us to do with this information?" Nathan asked.

"We've been meaning to ask you three to join us, basically ever since you came to the school but we just needed to be sure...about things," Ron said and looked at everyone one by one.

"Aaah, you needed to make sure that you can trust us, yeah?" Beth asked with little bit of hurt in her voice.

"Yes, just in case. You must understand that," Hermione said and gave a sympathetic smile to Beth.

"We understand," Celeste said in everyones behalf. "So now you want us to join you?"

"Yes. You three are so talented in everything and having you with us would be amazing," Harry said. "So are you interested?"

"Mmm sure," Celeste shrugged her shoulders. "I mean extra work is always good, am I right?"

"Yah, I think it's a great idea," Nathan said.

"I'm in," Beth smiled shyly.Β

"Oh but what about your aunt?" Harry asked from Celeste. "Is she going to be okay with this?"

Celeste grinned with a shake of her head. "Don't worry about aunt Liv, or uncle Will. They don't have to know, at least right away."

"Great!" Hermione beamed of excitement. "Now we must fill you in on everything. Harry, Ron, sit down and let's start from the very beginning."
