CELESTE CAREFULLY

opendΒ her eyes as the light hit her face. She blinked her eyes few times before she got them completely open and saw her uncle sleeping on a chair next to her bed. She had no recollection what had happened; all she remember was that she fell asleep on a bench and then...

The memory.

Draco.

Mrs Malfoy.

"Oh Merlin no," Celeste said and woke her uncle in process. "Will..." she sighed and gave her a shy smile. "W-what are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be in London?"

"When my niece is foundΒ unconscious, I leave London in a heartbeat," said William and there was a sign of relief as he looked at his niece. "What happened, kiddo?"Β

"You love me, right? And no matter what, you will always love me," Celeste asked with a sound of panic in her voice.

William was stunned by his niece's question. "Yes kid, I love you no matter what," he said and placed a stray of Celeste's blond hair behind her ear. "What is it?"

"I remember," Celeste whispered so quietly that William could barely hear it. "I remember," she repeated louder this time.

William observed his niece's face and then it hit her. "Cele, you remember your past?"

He remembers Celeste expressing her interest towards her past but she hasn't really said anything about it since the summer. He had thought she didn't want to know anymore. William had been very supportive over it though, he didn't mind that Celeste wanted to know more about her past. He didn't take it personally ― and Celeste had made it really clear that she didn't want to know because she didn't want to be with William and Olivia. She just wanted to know.Β

Celeste's eyes started to fill with tears, she threw her arms around her uncle's neck and held on for a dear time. "I am a goddamned Malfoy...." she muttered.

William pressed a kiss on Celeste's temple and rubbed her back in soothing circles to clam her down, the same way he did when Celeste's parents had died. He held her niece for hours until she finally stopper crying and pulled away from him.

Β "I'm a freaking mess," Celeste chuckled and wiped her tears away. "I wanted to know but now...."

"Can I ask you something?" William asked and got a nod as an answer from his niece. "Are you just upset that you're a Malfoy or that you're a Malfoy and your Gryffindor friends aren't their biggest fans?" He quizzed her. "Or because I expressed that I don't like Lucius Malfoy..."

"The hell do I know..." Celeste sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "Probably the last one, and the fact that my friends hate them."

"I thought so too," said William. "Well first of all, you don't have to think about my opinion. Maybe the man really is all right and you know..."

Celeste chuckled tearfully. "You are just saying that."

"He has lost his daughter. I'm sure that did something to his personality," grimaced William, managing to make Celeste laugh at his words. "See kiddo? It's not all bad."

"I need to tell Beth and Nate," Celeste said after a moment ofΒ thinking.

"Obviously," William smirked and asked the healer to bring Beth and Nathan.

Beth and Nathan ran to the Hospital Wing, slamming doors and pushing people down if they were on their way. They paced around the big infirmary before they finally got the hold of Madame Pomfrey who guided the very anxious duo to the missing girl of their trio.Β

"Shit! Celeste you scared the life out of us," Nate sighed and hugged her.

"Don't ever do that again," Beth said and wiped her tears away. "How are you feeling?"

Celeste took a deep breath in and released it out. "I need to tell you something."

When Celeste finished her long monologue about her memories, twin brother who apparently is no other than Draco Malfoy, her parents being Mrs and Mr Malfoy and her aunt is freaking Bellatrix, Beth and Nathan stared at their best friend with their mouths wide open.

"Please say something," Celeste whispered when she finished. She understood that her friends must be in shock but now was not the time for them to freak out. "Beth, Nate?"

"Celeste! I am so happy for you," Beth sighed and gave her friend a kiss on her cheek. "You remember your past."

"This amazing and weird but really amazing," Nathan smiled and kissed Celeste as well.Β

Celeste looked at her friends and then at her uncle who was standing on the other side of her bed. "Really?"

All three of them nodded and gave her the biggest smiles she has ever seen. "I should tell them, right?" Celeste hesitated to ask but did it anyways. "The Malfoys."

"That would be for the best" said William and walked closer to her. "But maybe first, just in case take a blood test with Draco. To be sure, because from what you've told me, Mrs Malfoy would love nothing else than for her daughter to return but we can't give her false hope. Take a test, just in case."

The suggestion of a blood test seemed reasonable and Celeste nodded. "Yeah, let's dot that before we drag an entire family into this."

"I'll ask for Draco," said William.

Celeste nervously drummed her fingers against the wooden bed over and over again while she waited for Draco. Her mind was racing like a thousand miles an hour. Her thoughts were completely messed, her mind raced between telling Draco and the parents.Β

"Celeste, I love you but please stop doing that," Beth sighed and took Celeste's hand. "I'll even hold your hand, just stop."

Celeste smirked and shook her head playfully but her happy mood was killed the minute Draco walked in with a very confused look on his face. Draco walked closer to her and took a good look at her.Β

"You look like mother when she was your age," he blurted and gave her a shy smile.

"Oh," was all Celeste was able to say to his comment.

"Your uncle explained the situation and I agree, we should take a blood test before going to mother," Draco said and tried to hold all the emotions he was feeling inside, and sat next to Celeste. "So should we just rip the bandage and take the test right away?"

Celeste nodded and turned to her uncle, who was holding a knife and a bottle in his hands.Β

"Now both of you need to make a little cut to your palm and drop some blood to the bottle. If the blood turns white then it's positive and you're related, if it turns green it's negative," he explained.

Draco was the first one to cut his palm and drop some blood into the bottle, next was Celeste. Everyone in the room; Celeste, Draco, William, Beth and Nathan all waited impatiently for the blood to change and finally there it was; white.

Draco's eyes shoot immediately to Celeste while Celeste just kept staring at the positive blood results, she really is a Malfoy.Β

"Bloody hell," was all Draco was able to say before he turned to look at his twin sister.

After the results, Draco spent most of the day with Celeste, Beth and Nathan while William went to Olivia and with Celeste's blessing ― told her everything.

"I should had realized it sooner," Draco sighed and looked at Celeste. "You're an exact copy of mother."

"R-really?" Celeste asked anxiously. "You think so?"

"You've met her couple of times, you really didn't get the resemblance?" Draco teased her.

"You didn't either," Celeste teased back. "Plus you thought that my name was Celine."

Before Draco could say anything Beth and Nathan bursted into a loud laughter. "Sorry, sorry bu it's just, you two argue just like siblings," Nathan said and laughed even louder.

"Hey," Celeste smirked and threw a pillow at Nathan.

"Yeah, about the name. I'm sorry, if I had paid more attention and talked with my mother about it..." Draco apologized.

"It's okay, I think it was meant to happen this way," Celeste smiled at her brother.

"I suppose so," Draco grinned. "So how much do you remember? About your past, with us."

"Some bits, not too much. It's a bit blurry still," Celeste sighed and looked how her brother frowned. "What?" She asked him.

Draco's face had turned into a sulky look. "You really don't remember things? Why?"

Celeste shrugged. "I remember some things but those memories didn't pop into my head until I started school here."

"That's odd," said Draco, arching his brow. "Isn't it?"

"Everything about my life is," smirked Celeste and glanced at Beth and Nathan who nodded in agreement.Β

"Is that why you live with your uncle?" Asked Draco carefully, wondering why Celeste didn't have any parents but has an uncle and an aunt.

Celeste gave Draco a small smile and nodded. "My mum and dad died when I was six."

"No they didn't," said Draco, thinking of their mother and father. "Mother is at home and father is..."

"I meant my adoptive mum and dad."

"Oh right..." said Draco, slightly embarrassed that he didn't make the connection right away. "So then your uncle raised you?"

Celeste nodded but her mind had wandered off to Mrs Malfoy ― the woman who was her mother but didn't know it. And while everything was strange and odd and ridiculous but the fact that Celeste has spoken to Mrs Malfoy several times as a stranger was almost painful. To think that she was really talking to her mama, the woman who showered her with love and not just some woman whom she happened to meet by accident.Β

Mrs Malfoy wasn't just Draco's mother but she was hers as well.
