CELESTE HAD

forgotten how much fun the Burrow was. The twins kept inventing new pranks, Ginny gushed over Quidditch, and Celeste got to even meet Charlie and Bill who she thought were amazing. 

William came to see Celeste every day. He couldn't take her home right away because he was working all the time and didn't feel comfortable leaving Celeste alone in their apartment. Olivia was swamped with work at Hogwarts ― curtesy of Severus Snape who had killed Dumbledore. 

The days went by quite fast, and she did have fun. Even when the world around them was falling apart, the Weasleys always managed to make every situation a little bit more bright. But no amount of laughter replaced the void in her heart. Every night, she fell asleep next to Leo, her high cheekbones stained by tears. 

She was afraid of what the future might hold. 

On one evening, just before Celeste was about to turn in and go to sleep, a loud crack was heard from outside the house. Celeste grabbed Leo's hand and ran downstairs where she was greeted by Harry and Hagrid, and a brunette woman.

Celeste knew she was going to see the woman again. She knew this but somehow she wasn't prepared for it. It was strange truly. A woman, a woman whom she has already met was her aunt. But then again it seemed like the world around her worked that way. She met her mother, without knowing she was her mother and she also met her other aunt before knowing that she was her aunt. 

Celeste stared at Andromeda and while she has seen the woman once before, she didn't realize back then how much Andromeda Tonks looked Bellatrix ― although her features were softer and her eyes weren't as deep as Bellatrix's. Andromeda was really a quite perfect mixture of Bella and of Narcissa. She had Narcissa's softness and that love in her eyes when she watches her daughter but she surely had Bellatrix's wit, you could tell that already by just looking at her. 

"I-I'm your niece," Celeste stuttered the words out, not sure if being blunt at this moment was just the easiest way to go. Celeste had met Andromeda before, when Celeste was part of Dumbledore's Army and worked with the Order, including Nymphadora Tonks who apparently is actually her cousin.

Andromeda froze in her place, but her face softened. 

Celeste wasn't sure did Andromeda even know that Narcissa had a daughter who was kidnapped. Merlin, this was going to be a fun conversation.  

"Do you---did you know that you had a niece? Or have a niece?" Stammered Celeste.

"I-I...." Andromeda tried to speak but her words got caught on her throat. She let out a nervous laugh and cleared her throat before trying to speak again. "I-I heard that Cissy had twins and then I heard that the girl was lost."

"Yeah," Celeste smirked. "That's me."

Andromeda smiled widely before taking several steps towards Celeste and wrapped her arms around her. Andromeda's hug was warm, like Narcissa's and you could clearly understand that she's been upset about her niece's kidnap even if she was cut out of the family.

"Well I'm so glad that you're back. Your mother knows you're back, doesn't she?" Andromeda asked, her voice hinting nervousness. "I mean not here, the Burrow back but you know...."

Celeste nodded. "She does, and she also knows I'm here. That's actually something I want to talk about."

"Of course. Come, let's have a seat," Andromeda gestured Celeste to sit by the table near them. Celeste sat next to Andromeda and a wave of sadness hit her, Andromeda was a lot like Olivia. They didn't look quite the same but they both talked the same way. Their voices were soft but there was a hint of excitement every time they spoke. 

"So is everything all right?" Andromeda asked gently, her lips pressing into a small smile. It was strange, Celeste thought.

How this woman, who hasn't had any contact with her family was so keen on helping Celeste. Then again, she had heard that Andromeda Tonks née Black was much different from her family. Celeste knew that Narcissa would do anything for her family, but that was sort of it. She would definitely walk through fire and even get herself killed if it meant that her children will be protected but Andromeda seemed like a person who would do that to anyone. Family or not family.

Celeste sighed and started talking. She told Andromeda everything; from her childhood until now. Every bit of how she didn't want to be a Malfoy to wanting to be one. To who took her and why, and why she's here now. 

"And mum wrote this to you," Celeste said and handed a letter to Andromeda who took it with shaking hands. 

The second Celeste had mentioned that Narcissa had written, Andromeda gasped. She couldn't believe it. Her little sister, her baby sister, whom she loved so dearly but hasn't had any contact with in decades. Andromeda never truly blamed Narcissa for it, she knew how systematized her sister was to her life.

Andy,

If you get this letter, it means my daughter's safe and sound. She can't stay at the Manor due, the situation. I know you don't own me anything and I do understand if you will deny my request. I need someone, preferably you, to look after her in case something happens to her uncle and his wife. She's now been in the care of the Weasleys as you read this but because of their relationship with the Potter boy, I do fear that she won't be safe there either. Celeste is the most amazing girl there is, and I can surely say she's nothing like me or Lucius. There isn't nothing else than goodness in her. As I already said, you don't own me anything but she's my daughter. I love her so much that even writing this letter breaks my heart. I hope you'll look after her, and I hope that I'll get to see her again.

Andromeda read the letter again and again before daring to lift her gaze from it, and faced Celeste. "S-she wants me to look after you?" She asked, stunned by her sister's request.

Never in million years would had she thought that her little sister would request her help. Especially when it came to her children. After all, she was a blood traitor.

"Yes. I mean, you and my uncle and Liv. I've been staying with the Weasleys now because Will works in the Ministry which he suspects is now corrupted," Celeste explained and before she had a chance to say anything else, Andromeda got up from her seat and wrapped her arms around Celeste.

"Of course I'll look after you," she sighed, tears falling from her eyes. Was it because of her niece, or because her baby sister had written a letter to her after all these years? Celeste wasn't sure.

THE 

day was Bill and Fleur's wedding and everything looked so beautiful. It was hard to realize that they were actually in the middle of a war. Some might think that having a wedding in a time like this was just stupid and waste of time but Celeste thought that it was actually quite the contrary. It was good to have something else to think about for a change.

Celeste had been feeling homesick for days now. 

She missed her uncle and Liv more than words could describe and she was worried for their safety.

She also missed her mother, father, brother and aunt Bella. She kept thinking about them most of her days, wondering what Voldemort has done to then. She knew he wasn't happy with her family because of her "betrayal".

Now Celeste was thinking about those things again while standing under a huge tent where people were dancing around to celebrate Bill and Fleur's marriage. 

"You know, we can dance if you want," Leo said to Celeste, who turned to look at him. 

Celeste smirked and placed a kiss on Leo's cheek. "You hate dancing," she reminded.

"Yes, but I love you so..." he said, slightly blushing while gazing to Celeste's blue eyes.

The Malfoy girl stopped breathing for a second. She was sure that Leo hasn't said that ever before. She broke into a wide grin. 

"Really?" She asked, her eyes sparkling. "Even if my dad might kill you?"

Leo chuckled and nodded. "Really. Even if your father might kill me for it," he smiled.

There might be so much sadness and uncertain things in Celeste's life right now, but she was sure that Leo wasn't one of them. She flung her arms around him and placed a passionate kiss on his lips.

 "I love you too," she whispered against his lips.

Leo smiled so much that it hurt. He truly loved and cared for Celeste, and was determined to protect her no matter what. Suddenly, Leo felt someone tapping on his shoulder and he sighed before turning around, only to face Ron whose face was bright red. 

Ron had no intension on breaking the sweet moment between Leo and Celeste, but his father had asked if Leo could help with the fireworks later. 

"Umm, my dad needs your help," Ron cleared his throat, and gave an apologetic smile at Celeste who just smirked. 

Leo turn to look at Celeste who nodded at him. "Go on, I'll wait here," she assured him and with one more kiss, he followed Ron out of the tent. 

"I heard there's a party."

Celeste turned around immediately by the sound of a very familiar voice and her face lit ip.

"Uncle Will! Liv!" She squealed so ever happily and ran to them. 

William accepted Celeste's hug without a second thought ― glad to see his niece all happy and safe considering everything that has been going on. 

"Hi sweetie," smiled Olivia and gently stroked Celeste's hair while the girl was still in her uncle's arms.

"I've missed you two," sighed Celeste when she let go of her uncle. "As much as I like staying here, I want to come home with you."

William smiled softly, ruffling Celeste's hair which made her grin. 

"We've missed you too kiddo," he said.

"Do you think I could come home now?" Asked Celeste, earning a soft chuckle from her aunt.

"Well that is why we are here. You can come home with us. Will and I have set so many charms around our apartment that no one can come in without our acknowledge, so you should be safe," explained Olivia.

Before Celeste could had said anything back, a flash of blue light appeared in the middle of the tent where all the guests were. The dance and music stopped, and it felt like everyone stopped breathing at once. People gathered around the mystic ball of blue which informed them, that the Ministry of Magic had fall. 

Gasps were heard from almost everyones' mouths.

Hearing that the Ministry had fallen was bad enough, so no one was truly prepared for what happened next. Black flashes of smoke started to appear inside the tent, traveling across it, making the candles burst into flames, destroying the tables, scaring people and making everyone scream and run. 

Sometimes the flashed of black turned into wizards, Death Eaters, and with a flick of their wands, a green flash hit some of the guests of the Weasley wedding and they never stood up again.

A hand fell on Celeste's shoulder and she saw William standing next to her.

Go," he said sternly.

Celeste felt Leo's hand grabbing her and leading her out of the tent, were Andromeda had already found her way. The aunt quickly wrapped her arm around her niece's shoulder and without a second thought, they Disappareted. If any of the Death Eaters were to find Celeste, the blood traitor who turned her back against Voldemort ― everyone in that tent would had died.
