EVER SINCE HER

visit at the bookstore a week ago, Celeste had felt rather restless without knowing exactly why; somehow the woman she met at the bookstore reminded her of someone but she just couldn't put her finger on it.Β

She had just finished her last class of the day with Headmaster Umbridge and was about throw a fit if she'd see anything pink for the rest of the day. She really despised that woman and wondered how anyone could actually be that petty and awful. In Ilvermorny, she loved all of her teachers; they were all so helpful, correct and somewhat charming, a exact opposite of Umbridge. To ease up her mind Celeste decided to go and visit her Olivia in her office to make her day better.

"Liv?" Celeste asked as she stepped into Olivia's office and spotted her aunt.

"Yeas?" Olivia asked before she lifted her head up from her book and noticed Celeste's puffy red eyes. "Honey, what is it?" Olivia sighed and got up to hug Celeste.

Celeste cried carefully on her aunt's shoulder. "I-I don't know," she whispered. "E-ever since I got here I got this feeling but I don't know what it is."

"Oh Cele," Olivia said. "It's all right, it's all right. Come I'll show you something," she wrapped her arm around Celeste's and guided her to her office's balcony. The sun was just setting down, you could see the night stars getting brighter minute by minute as the moon started to appear on the sky. It was silent, all you could hear were the crickets and the night owls.

"Oh, it's beautiful," Celeste sighed and leaned against her aunt.

"You know every time when I got upset over things I didn't quite understood, my mum always brought me to see the night sky," Olivia told her and placed a kiss on her niece's cheek. "Are you feeling any better?"

Celeste looked at the night sky and then at Olivia. "You always know how to help me," she smiled at her. "It's nice to have you hear, especially because Will isn't around."

"And I think Will would probably just crack a joke instead of showing you a starry sky," Olivia smiled and tapped Celeste's nose. "Will isn't exactly the model citizen of girl talk."

The pair looked over the sky for hours until it was so dark that you could only see the stars and the moon and the rest of the world just fell to the silence. Celeste's head leaned against her aunt's shoulder while Olivia rubbed Celeste's back to comfort her.

"Liv?" Celeste asked quietly. "I know you never knew my parents, but do you think they loved me?" She asked and looked at Olivia with wide open eyes.Β

"Are you being serious?" Olivia asked and wiped Celeste's tears away with her thumbs. "Celeste, from what I've heard from Will, you were the most important person in your parents' lives," Olivia assured her, knowing that it wasn't Celeste's whole question. "And as for you biological parents, I'm sure that they loved you."

Celeste's teary eyes were now closed as she leaned again against her aunt. "How can you be sure about that?"

"Because, they'd be stupid not to," Olivia said and cracked a small smile to her niece. "And if it makes you feel any better, I love you very much," she whispered and kissed the top of Celeste's head.

CELESTE,

Beth and Nathan were all in Celeste and Beth's room while the Golden Trio was prepping for their O.W.L's in the library. Because Celeste, Beth and Nathan started their fifth year later than others, they were granted the permission to take the O.W.Ls next fall.Β

Beth and Celeste sat on the floor with candles lit around them and some on their desks. Nathan laid on sat on Celeste's bed and drew some sketches to his notebook. The room was dead silent for awhile, all you could hear was the small flames moving in the air.

"You were excellent at the class today Beth," Nathan said as he colored his drawing. "Everyone were quite impressed."

"Mmm everyone except professor Umbridge," Beth smirked and rolled her eyes. "Although I don't think she gets impressed over anything else than herself."

"True," Celeste and Nathan laughed.

"We had barely spent anytime just the three of us together," Beth sighed and looked at Celeste and then at Nathan. "So now that we're away from the curios eyes of everyones, what do you think about this place?"

"Mostly the people are quite nice, some not so much. I'll give you a hint, the Slytherins," Nathan said and threw a chocolate candy to the air and caught it with his mouth. "And the place lacks color and light for sure."

"Give me one!" Celeste commanded and pointed at the chocolate bar on Nathan hand. Nathan laughed and shook his head before throwing the kit to Celeste and Beth.

With her mouth filled with chocolate Celeste opened her mouth to speak. "I agree with Nathan, Slytherins are rude and arrogant. As for the school, the classes are easy and the whole place is somewhat creepy."

"But London was beautiful," Beth smiled and thought about the streets and the lights of the city. "Oh and that ice cream place in Diagon Alley was amazing."

"Yes, you are right about that," Nathan sighed. "And the flavor Celeste took,Β delicious."

"It was so good, what was it Cele?" Beth asked and turned back to Celeste.

"Umm double fudge," Celeste said and smiled to the thought of the ice cream; it's creamy texture and the sweet taste on the tip of her tongue. The sweet flavor she has tasted before in her life but wasn't sure where or when.

"How did you manage to take the best flavor?" Beth asked curiously.

"Oh, I met this woman at the bookstore and she suggested it," Celeste said and shrugged her shoulders. "But now I'm going to need your help with something," she informed her friends with a smirk across her face.

Celeste explained her friends that she's been having these weird feelings ― feelings telling her to look for her past. It was stupid and ridiculous because Celeste had no need to do that ― she was completely happy with her life but then again, knowing what had happened before she was adopted would be nice.

The trio left the room and went to search an empty classroom. They found one in mere minutes and carefully entered it.Β

"So memory potion?" Beth asked and took out a big spell book from the shelf. "And why do you need this?" She asked and blew the dusts off of the book. She used her wand to flip the pages until it hit the right one. "Found it!"

"Great!" Celeste squealed and ran over to Beth with Nathan. "Now I just need to create it," she said and started to sort out the ingredients.

Nathan and Beth looked at their best friend who was already working on the potion; she waved her wand and made the ingredients dance around the air before using them. Beth gave Nathan a little nod towards Celeste, forcing the young man to talk to his friend.

"Cele?" Nathan asked and took her shoulders, making her turn around towards him and Beth. "Why do you need to make a memory potion?"

"I told you, I've been having weird feelings" Celeste said and looked down at the floor.

"But a memory potion...," Beth smiled shyly and took Celeste's hand.Β

Celeste gave her friends a melancholy smile. "You know that I don't remember anything before I was adopted. I remember my short months in the orphanage but nothing else. I have no memory of my biological mother of father. Where they good people? Why did they gave me away? Am I an only child and....

"Why do you think memory potion will help you know?" Nathan frowned. "You were tested several times as a child to see why you couldn't' remember anything. They tried memory potion."

Celeste sat down on a chair which was right behind her. "I know, and this probably won't even work out but...remember when we were in Diagon Alley? I had that ice cream and for some reason, it tasted so familiar. Like I have had it before. It sounds stupid and crazy and it probably is. I don't know where this obsession has come now and it isn't because I am unhappy with my life, I am very very happy with everything but sometimes I just wish to know."

Nathan and Beth smiled at their friend; they knew that Celeste didn't remember anything about her past and it didn't bother her, she lived in the moment but deep down they knew that eventually she'll want to know and the time is clearly now.

"Okay, so how can we help?" Beth grinned and checked the book.

After finishing the potion the trio stared at the little bottle where they put it in for awhile. Beth and Nathan were unsure what to say, and Celeste was unsure how to handle the fact if she'd remember everything.

"Okay, let's try this," Celeste said and drank the potion but nothing happened. She waited for another minute, then another, and another but she didn't gain her memory.

"Oh c'moon!" She yelled and threw the bottle against the wall. The little glass pieces of the bottle flew across the air, shimmering in the sunlight which shined through the window. Celeste tried to keep her posture up but melted on the floor when Beth walked to her and wrapped her arms around her.

It's all right," Nathan whispered and joined the hug.Β
