jonghyun is mayse's older brother. not literally, but the two were extremely close that people always mistook them as siblings. jonghyun actually wrote a song called Breathe and gave the song to mayse for her solo career which she debuted back in 2017. when jonghyun passed away, she became depressed and didn't want to attend any of her schedules. she was given 1/5 of his belongings being music stuff (his lyric notebook etc.) she had a comeback with his song Breathe and cried during a special performance during 32nd Golden Disk Awards.

heechul and mayse are really close. in fact, mayse is close to all of Super Junior. she's just closer to heechul. heechul has watched mayse grow up since she joined back when she was 8 years old. he'd play with her and make her call him uncle heechul. whenever mayse is scheduled to go on a show that heechul is MCing, he will try to roast her. i say try because mayse ends up roasting heechul so much that he's speechless and can't say anything else. if the NCT members are busy preparing for a party for her birthday, heechul will volunteer to distract her just to spend time with his favourite junior.
