Not a week into the new year and three relationships have already been confirmed at the very start of the year!

There have been so many good things happening since the new decade has begun and I'm talking about TVXQ's Changmin dating a non-celebrity, Heechul and Momo, the comebacks of Taemin, Dreamnote and GFRIEND, the pregnancy of ex-9MUSE member, Sungah and so much more.

But for this specific video, I'm going into context of the relationship between NCT's Mayse and Stray Kids' Hyunjin.

Now, I am 100% sure that every stan is aware of their love for one another. They were the visual couple, the couple that raised high expectations and gave everyone hope that one day, they too could be in a loving relationship just like theirs.

But that wasn't till May of last year.

Let's go back to the start of their relationship, when they were friends and started developing feelings for one another.

Mayse and Hyunjin went to the same school, that being the famous idol school, Seoul School of Performing Arts aka SOPA. The two were in the same class, meaning they had every single class together. Mayse once said during a V live that she thought of Hyunjin as a close friend of hers and m that she would date him, and that my friends, started the first Jinma rumours.

Those Jinma rumours were quickly shut down after it was announced that Mayse was dating model, Kang Dae Won in 2018. It was never official confirmed when they first began dating and how they met but the relationship quickly ended after Daewon was exposed to be a smoker, much to NCTzens, NCT's fans, disapproval.

Mayse went silent for a good solid 6 months after the breakup before rumours of the popularly known ship; Jinma resurface after the both of them were spotted at Hangang with mystery people.

And in April of that same year, they became an official couple.

The response to the relationship contained mostly of positive comments however there was always a few negatives. The two often shared their happy relationship online, supporting each other works and posting cute photos of them together.

Unfortunately, that all ended when they had unexpectedly alleged to have broken up in May of 2019.

After trying to avoid the topic overall during interviews, Mayse publicly announced her and Hyunjin to have issues just like any normal couple would.

Royals, Mayse's Fans, speculated a cheating scandal had occurred and automatically wrongly accused Hyunjin of cheating on her. To further backup the sadness of the breakup, Knetz believed the breakup was the reason for Mayse's infamous airport breakdown photo.

Upon noticing all the bad mouthing being done to her ex-lover, Mayse cleared things up by stating that the breakup was a mutual decision between her and Hyunjin.

She further explained that the breakup was mainly due to the fact they had busy schedules and didn't find the time for one another and decided it would be for the best. She then elaborated that her airport breakdown was unrelated to the split and was rather family issues.

Since the split, the two had gone M.I.A and never spoke about each other publicly.

Fast forward to November of 2019.

Royals, STAY and NCTzens, all speculated the two signers to have rekindled their once romantic relationship after they were spotted out in public on what seems like a date.

The two have also been seen wearing various couple items, such as, rings, bracelets, hoodies and shoes. Mayse has been seen, on various occasions, wearing Hyunjin's clothing to schedules and at the airport.

And to finish this timeline off,

On January 1st, New Years Day, THE Mayse Son, exposed her own relationship before DISPATCHER could for their yearly New Years Couple!

Like, what?!

And to add more to the exposure, Mayse and Hyunjin had been dating once more for the last 7 months without being caught by the public! Like, how?!

According to Mayse, Hyunjin would go over to her apartment that she shared with her younger sister, Nami (aka my wifeu), and they would just cuddle and enjoy each other's company. And that they had been doing that for the last 7 months of 2019 before the resurfaced rumours in November occurred.

So, here's to the start of a beautiful year! We're starting it off with the return of Jinma!
