On December 3rd, 2019, idol sensation Mayse Son of NCT posted to her personal Instagram account, on her story, asking fans for privacy.

Since the age of 16 (internationally), Mayse has been in the limelight and has worked hard for every signle achievement she has achieved since debuting.

Due to her high popularity standard, the idol has received many death threats, malicious comments and stalker fans along with reporters asking personal questions.

The singer posted on her Instagram story to deliver her feelings to fans worldwide.

Mayse states: "I am an idol. I am someone who has many fans that adore and love her. I am a girl who wants privacy. I only achieve two of those things. I don't have privacy. Please, from the very bottom of my heart, please respect my privacy and leave my family alone. I don't want people following me every night to try and find my home and possibly attack either myself or my sister. I don't want to receive calls from my brother and hear him say there's people standing outside our family house or there's someone trying to break in. I love my Royals and NCTzens, but please. Allow myself and my family to have privacy. I don't want Minkyu living like this nor Nami."

she further went on to say: "Please stop asking about my love life and my parents. You have zero concern regarding both topics and shouldn't be digging into something so personal. Both topics are commonly asked to me and I have had enough of it. These are sensitive topics for me and I would rather not expose it to the public. Please respect my wishes for privacy. For both myself and my family. Thank you."

Since the post, fans were quick to defend her wishes by attacking those leaving malicious comments, personal questions and whatnot on her posts.
