As of lately, the popular idol, Mayse Son has been in the public eye after announcing her breakup with ex boyfriend; Hwang Hyunjin of Stray Kids.

The idol then uploaded to her seperate youtube channel ( mayse son ) speaking about recent events in her life, including the topic of crying in the airport. Since the upload, NCTzens and Royals begin to question the situation that Mayse refuses to explain. Earlier this week, SM Entertainment released an official statement on Mayse's whereabouts and career.

SM states: "It has come to our attention that our artist Mayse Son's whereabouts and wellbeing have been a severe concern to fans all over the world.

Mayse shall be postponing her [upcoming] album till June, minimum. Dates are not concrete, so we unfortunately cannot hand out teasers [freely] without our artist's knowledge.

Regarding the airport-crying issue, she has informed us that her father, Son Jae Won (CEO of Son Music Production) has been hospitalised in the U.S. with a brain tumour. He is yet to undergo surgery however we send our regards nonetheless. Mayse shall be staying with her family until this ordeal has concluded itself.

We hope for a speedy recovery for Mr.Son. We would also like to address the threats and hacking being sent and done to Mayse's personal life. After speaking with the authorities, any threats or hacking done to our artist shall be fined and arrested. We hope fans understand her wishes and situation and send [their] love and support to the family."
