MAYSE'S P.O.V

Today I'm attending the 8th Gaon Chart Awards by myself, with no members. All of the NCT members; excluding myself are in Chile for SM TOWN. I didn't attend the family concert because I was filming my music video for my comeback and I had to attend this award show. I don't mind it, it's an absolute honour to attend such an event as this. I know a few idols attending, so I may be seated with them, but it's uncertain that it will happen. Honestly, I hope I will be sitting with either Red Velvet unnies or Stray Kids or The Boyz. Just someone I know, cause then it'd be hella awkward if I didn't know the person I sat with.

I was in my dorm, preparing for the red carpet when Sihyun unnie rushes in. "Ppalli!! We don't have time!" She rushes me out to the car, literally pushing me into my seat and hurting over to the passenger seat so we could make our way to the venue. I giggled. I liked seeing Sihyun unnie rush around like that. It makes her seem officiant and knows what she's doing. Of course, she does because she wouldn't be my manager if she didn't.

Inside the van, my makeup did my makeup through the bumpy ride, she actually did an amazing job and her hand was very stable. My hair was done beforehand. We had arrived at the venue as soon as my makeup artist finished up. Sihyun has opened the car door me. I hopped out of the car and elegantly walked down the red carpet, stopping when the staff signalled me to. I stood straight, looking at the many photographers. Blinking every now and then to adjust to the flash that happened every second. I turned to the left and posed, doing the same to the right side.

I was finally escorted inside the building. I walked around, trying to find my name and when I did, I smiled. I took my seat and waved at fans inside the venue who held many slogans and signs. Other idols entered and I did stand to bow to a few of them.

I looked around bored. I was waiting for the idols who sat with to be seated. When I heard the chair to the left of me screech backwards, I turned and faced my good friend. "Looks like I'm sitting with your ass," Eric chuckles. I roll my eyes, playfully shoving him before fretting the other members. Kevin has sat on my right side. Stray Kids entered and sat at a table near us, I giggled and waved at them. Holding Hyunjin's hand for a short minutes before letting go.

"Do you know who's performing first?" I asked Eric, but he didn't know who was performing first which made me pout. It feels weird to be at an award event without my members. The show began with the hosts being created and awards were handed out. It's now around the half hour mark of the event and I will admit, I'm getting tired from the late hour, but I did have a lot of coffee beforehand. Stray Kids just received New Artist Of The Year (album), which I'm mighty proud of and The Boyz won World Rookie.

I'm not nominated for anything major but I won Artist of The Year: Digital Music - Monthly with my song; SOLO. Speaking of my song SOLO, I have to go prepare for my performance. I stood up quietly and waved to The Boyz and Stray Kids as I walked past them. Sihyun unnie was waiting for me backstage and took me to the waiting room where I changed and got my makeup and hair done for the stage. I had to take off my rings in order for me to put on my black lace gloves but I did place them back on.

After getting my mic placed on and readjusted, I walked onto the stage and waved at fans before getting into position for the performance. There was a red staircase placed on the stage for my performance which looks amazing.
