Part 6

It'd been a few months and Dabi stayed at the penthouse. He rubbed his baby bump and laid down for a nap. Kaminari began to work on making dinner. Shinso said he'd be late getting home. "He must have found him." "Found who, papa?" Kaminari smiled at his daughter. "A special guest for your birthday." "Yay! Who?" "Grandpa." Nezumi smiled brightly. "Grampa come? Yay!!! Dabi eat too?" "Yes. Do you want to check on him for me? If he's asleep leave him be, ok?" She nodded as she ran to her uncle's room. The front door opened and the strong scent of blood hit Kaminari's nose. "Hey guys." "Ah. I love an omega who can cook. Denki, when are you going leave Hito for me, huh?" The two hugged. "Nice to see you too." "You know I joke, right?" All for One always made sure Kaminari laughed. And that Shinso knew he was only joking. "GRAMPA!!!!" Nezumi rushed to her grandfather. "Oh. Little one. How big you've gotten." Shinso greeted his husband. "Where's Dabs?" "Sleeping." Shinso nodded. "Good. He doesn't need to hear about any of this." "Any of what?" Dabi rubbed his eyes as he sat at the table. "We found him. That's all you need to know." "So it's true. And I thought I raised you better." Dabi let his anger get the best of him. "All you fucking did was make sure I didn't die. You could've cared less." Dabi got up. "I'm not hungry." "That's a straight up lie. Dabi, I was pregnant once too. I know you're starving." Shinso followed his brother. "Look. I know you and dad were never on the best of terms, but he does care. Really. Look, I didn't want to do this. We found Takami. You're welcome to come with when we interrogate him." "Just don't kill him." Shinso shook his head. "Unless he does or says something I don't like. More specifically about or to you." Dabi nodded. "I'll take dinner in my room."

After dinner, Shinso got Dabi and they left for the lair. "Can you feel them kick? Picked out any names yet?" "Yes. No. And stop bugging me about it." Toga pouted. "But I'm ready to be an aunty." Shinso led Dabi down to the interrogation room. Behind the glass, Dabi saw Keigo cuffed to a table. "Listen. I've not done anything. I won't tell anyone. Please. I need to find someone." All for One was in the room too. "You need to find someone. I need answers." Keigo gulped in fear. "I don't know anything. You have to believe me." "You don't know Dabi?" "Dabi? You know him? Where is he? I need to talk to him." Shinso pulled a chair for Dabi. "Here. Sit." Dabi obeyed and simply watched. "A few months ago, you-" All for One cringed at the thought. "Fornicated with an omega that resulted in a pregnancy, then broke the poor omega's heart." "He's heartbroken? Even more reason for me to talk to him! I need to explain." "Explain what? How you regret sleeping with me?" Dabi tried to wipe tears away before anyone saw. "You explain to me first." Shinso interrupted. "That's enough, All for One. Dabi needs a glass water." The taller alpha left. "I'm sure you know who I am." "Yeah. You're Hijack." "Then you know I keep my promises. Answer some questions truthfully, then you'll be released. Things won't get violent unless you make it so." Keigo's breath grew rapid. He would have rather been tortured by All for One than questioned by Hijack. "What do you want to know?" "Simply, did you care for Dabi? Like really care for him. Would you have died for him?" Keigo only nodded. "I still do." "Why are you looking for him?" "I'd like to explain my reaction. He told me he was pregnant. I was shocked. Unprepared." "But?" Keigo let a few tears fall. "I was happy. And hoping he'd let me mark him. He's carrying my child. And I want to be there for the two of them unlike how my father was to me and my mother." Shinso nodded. "And what would you tell Dabi? If he were listening now?" "That I love him. More than my own life. He and that kid mean more to me than anything. So do your worst." Keigo braced for pain, but felt the warmth of a hug, and tears meet his shoulder. "Dabi?" Dabi only sobbed. "Let's leave them be." All for One uncuffed Keigo and the two alphas left the room. "Baby bird. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." "No. I should've let you explain."
