Part 7

Keigo got the rest of Dabi's things in the car. "Alright. Call when you get there. Ok?" The brothers hugged goodbye. "Sure." "And don't forget to take care of yourself." "Got it." Shinso approached Keigo. "Tell whoever is in charge there that I'll be visiting." "Yes sir. Will do." "And you make sure he's taken care of. Cause if I find out you hurt him again, I'll make sure your body is never found and that your intestines are fed to the birds." Keigo gulped and nodded his head. "Noted. Ready, baby bird?" Dabi nodded and got in the car. Keigo followed on the driver's side and the pair took off. "So where are we going?" "To the beta community. It's where I grew up. A really nice place. I think you'll like it." Special places were built for the rare betas, called communities. Only certain alphas with special clearance could enter, and they were deemed a safe environment for omegas, although very few knew about them. Keigo explained how his mother, an omega, was left pregnant and standing at the alter after his father, an alpha, decided he didn't want kids or her. "My mother ended up being brought here. And here is where she stayed to take care of me." "The government let her keep you?" Dabi sounded surprised. "Yep. Law in a community states that unless the mother is abusive, or an addict, she can keep her baby. I know for omegas, I'd you aren't bonded you're deemed an unfit parent." Dabi felt a small kick. "No one is taking you away from me." "Hey. We're here. Ok so. I didn't tell my mom about the baby. I only told her I met an omega that I really like." Dabi chuckled. "So what's going to happen when she finds out?" Keigo shrugged and then shuttered. "Keigo! Don't stand in the driveway! Introduce me!" A short woman marched out of the house. "Ah. Mama, this is-" "Touya. Nice to meet you." Dabi held his hand out. The woman eyed Dabi and smiled. Then her eyes trailed to his stomach. "Keigo!!!!" "Shit. Mama. Let me explain. Fuck!" Keigo took off running with his mother following close behind, holding a shoe in one of her hands. Dabi laughed at the sight and rubbed his stomach, smiling more as he felt more kicks. "Excited?" Keigo was caught and pulled by his ear to the house. "Come in. Come in. You need to sit."

Dabi sat on the couch as he was handed a cup of tea. "Soothes baby. Now. Explain yourself!" "Ok so. I uh." Dabi chuckled. "It's my fault honestly." "No. No it isn't. I raised him better than this." "But mama," "No buts. You are marrying this boy." "That's the plan." The two argued a bit more. "So you'll be staying for how long?" Keigo asked his mother. "Huh?" "Three weeks was my original plan. But now, I'll stay until the a few days after the birth." "Kei. What's going on?" Keigo smiled and turned to Dabi. "Surprise. This is our house." "No. We really couldn't." "Oh yes you can. I've already moved into my new place. This one was going to be sold until Keigo called me. Something about the love of his life needing a safe place." Dabi glared and Keigo. "But ma'am. We aren't bonded." "Keigo, fix that." The woman walked up to Dabi. "We omegas have to look out for each other, right? Because who else will?"

Weeks passed and Dabi and Keigo were officially moved in. "So I know by alpha law, all I have to do is mark you and we're 'married'. But if you want of course, I'd like to have a beta ceremony." "What's that going to consist of?" "Me actually proposing and then we get married. Like a chapel and reception and all that good stuff." Keigo paused. "Followed by me marking you on our honeymoon. All your choice though." "Are you asking me to marry you?" "In a way." Keigo got down on his knee. "I love you. And I love that kid inside you. And I want to be in both of your lives. Touya. Won't you marry me?" Dabi couldn't fight back his tears as he nodded. "Awe. No crying around dinner. Infect with too much salt. Go. Shoo. Shoo." Keigo's mother pushed them out of the kitchen. "Hmmm. I kinda want to try something." "What?" Dabi shrieked as he was picked  up and carried to the bedroom. "I don't know what it is. You saying yes to marrying me, the pheromones you're letting off, or what. But I want you, baby bird. Really bad."
