Personality: Hayoon is as honest and straightforward as you can get. If you need an opinion on anything, she's the best person to go to. While she'll try and spare your feelings, she gives you her most honest opinion. Hayoon is a bit on the socially awkward side and does struggle talking to people she doesn't know but once you get to know her, she's honestly very goofy. Hayoon seems like she doesn't have much sense when comfortable with you and you should treasure that.

Background: Lee Hayoon was born in Sanbon-dong, Gunpo, South Korea to Lee Hyunwoo and Lee Taeri. As the youngest she was babied by her siblings but mainly Hoseok; he didn't hesitate on making her his first priority, despite having another younger sibling. Wherever and whatever Hoseok did, Hayoon was always right behind him.

That also meant career wise.

Hoseok and Hayoon joined Starship the same year, Hayoon originally going with her brother for moral support but was asked to audition by Starship staff. When their parents learned that both their oldest and youngest had joined the label, they questioned Hayoon.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Hayoon had never shown any signs of being interested in music and were scared that she was just doing it to be able to stay with Hoseok.

"I didn't plan on it but they were interested so why not." she shrugged off her parents' concern, starting her training with the label.

Being one of the few 15 year olds under the label, she was quickly adopted but the other trainees her age and for once, Hayoon had an identity outside of her brother. It was scary at first but she was forced to step out of her comfort zone and she was doing better than she expected, making more friends than she could count.

After almost 5 years of training, Starship had started putting together their next girl group, WJSN. Even though she had done her best, she had failed to make the cut for the group and returned to training.

In 2016, she chose to participate in the first season of Produce 101 and much like her efforts to make it into WJSN, it wasn't enough. She was still able to place in the top 20 and finished the show with a sizable fanbase. Being Starship, they wanted to capitalize off Hayoon's fans and added her to WJSN. She was actually happy about being added, her efforts were finally being noticed by Starship after 6 years of training.

Her happiness didn't last long though.

She never had a nice feeling about the group's manager and did everything she could never be alone with her but much like everything else, fate wasn't on her side. Aside from being one of the group's three managers, Ahin was assigned as Hayoon's personal manager.

It was like she had gone out of her way to make Hayoon uncomfortable and no matter how many times she spoke to Starship regarding her "inappropriate touching," they never did anything about her.

Hayoon found herself falling into silence around her, checking out when Ahin's hands were in her lap. She never thought it would escalate beyond touches until Ahin pulled the van into a dark alley one late night. The two were supposed to be heading back to WJSN's dorm after a late photoshoot and Hayoon was more than eager to get back to the rest of the girls.

She normally tried to keep distance between her and Ahin but when her manager climbed into the back of the car, she was frantic in trying to open the door but no matter how much she pulled at the lock, the door wouldn't budge.

It didn't take much longer to realize that Ahin put the child lock on.

This was the first night of many that Hayoon tried to forget, pushing everything to the back of her mind.

She did her best at this, putting a brave face on around everyone and breaking down alone. She did try to tell Hoseok about Ahin but shame would choke her up.

February of 2017 that Ahin's actions came to light in the Lee family; the siblings were supposed to return home for the weekend but Hoseok had returned alone, Hayoon coming after nightfall. Her whereabouts were questioned as she joined her family for dinner. She kept her head low as they joked around.

"Yoon, why aren't you eating?" her father asked her. Her head remained low as she put the positive pregnancy test on the table. The whole family went quite at the sight of it.

"I'm sorry, I should have... I should have fought back but I just let it happen. I just let her do it." she sobbed as she spoke, balling her hands onto her jeans.

"Wait, what do y- what happened?" the family sat in silence as she recounted everything from the past few months.

Her parents first instinct was to go to both Starship and the police but Hayoon talked them down, not wanting for any of her business to be out there and not wanting to be forced to leave the group.

"For now, I just want to finish promoting. I'll figure something out."

That something was a mental health hiatus that lasted no longer than 4 months, Starship giving her no say in whether or not she would participate in the group's upcoming promotions. It was luck that she had carried small, no one outside her family knowing that she was pregnant.

Hayoon had her daughter early in August, going into labor while filming an episode of "Happy Together," holding in her grimace and trying to ignore her contractions.

The Lee family did everything in their power to keep Hana a secret from the public and more importantly, Ahin. She stayed with Taeri and Taeoh while Hayoon returned to Seoul in September.

She spent the next few months trying to keep herself from being alone, whether she was always doing little things with her members or staying with Hoseok at Monsta X's dorm, and it worked out for a bit.

By March of 2018, she had grown to hate being an hour away from Hana and moved her parents to Seoul. She hid that Hana was her daughter whenever she brought her around WJSN, the girls buying that she was Hayoon's niece but it didn't work too well with the rest of Monsta X, the 6 boys knowing their middle brother didn't have a child. Without going into detail, Hayoon came clean to the boys. Telling someone outside of her family felt good. She liked not having to hide around them and wished that she could do the same with her group.

It wasn't until Hana's first birthday that she was left with no choice; Exy, Seola, and Bona had shown up to her parents house unexpectedly with gifts for Hana. Seeing no other women, they asked where Hana's mother was. Knowing that she could no longer hide it from them, she told them but unlike with Monsta X, she told them everything.

"Is that why you were so jumpy around her? Why didn't you go to the company? We should go to them now." Seola tried to encourage but Hayoon shook her head.

"They never listened and I never told Ahin that I was pregnant. I didn't want her around Hana at all. Last thing I would want is for her to be just as terrible to Hana as she was to me."

"Then lets get her arrested. If she's away, then she'll be away from both of you and you'll be okay." Hayoon nodded but this was easier said than done.

Every time they would try and get together, Ahin was right around the corner, lurking on their every move. It took another year before they came close to talking to their CEO about Ahin, however those plans weren't able to follow through due to accusations that had surrounded Hoseok and his departure from Monsta X.

During this time, Hayoon was at her most helpless; Starship had always failed her but they then did the same for Hoseok. Even though she knew he left by his own choice, she wished that they had done more to protect him. She wished that it hadn't taken as long as it had for police to clear his name.

Hayoon was ready to give up, ready to accept her situation but Seola and the girls continued to push her to go speak to the CEO, promising to stand beside her throughout everything. By July of 2020, Hayoon had finally worked up the nerve to say something.

On their way from their dorm, Ahin was sitting by the door. Stopping the girls, she asked where they were going. Bona was the first to respond, telling their manager that they were just going shopping. Ahin seemed to nod them off but before they could exit, she stopped them again.

"So when were you going to tell me about her, Hayoon?" the group froze. None of them said anything regarding Hana while around Ahin so they didn't know how she could have possibly known.

"I thought you knew that I had the password to your phone by now. I read all the messages and I know that you all are planning to run to management about me. I'm not going to discourage you but if I go down, I'm taking you with me, Hayoon." Hayoon pushed the girl out the door, wanting out before she started hyperventilating.

"What was she talking about? Does she have something on you?" Hayoon was just as confused as the others but she tried to shake it off.

"Let's not think about it. I haven't done anything serious that she could use against me." they continued as planned and for once, she was actually listened too. Of course having pictures and sonograms made the difference but it seemed like Starship was going to finally do something to help her.

And they did.

Ahin was promptly fired and taken for questioning by the police and for a while, everything was going well. WJSN finished their promotions for "Butterfly" with much success but what came next wasn't expected.

Hayoon was woken by Dawon shaking her violently, pushing her phone into Hayoon's hands.

Pictures that she didn't even know Ahin had were posted everywhere. Stark naked in some, crying in others but they were all available for everyone to see.

Hayoon moved to terminate her contract by the end of the week.

Both Starship and her members begged for her to stay but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Those photos were harming WJSN's image and if Starship had done something from the beginning, they probably wouldn't even exist.

For the first month after leaving, she was sure that her life as an idol was over, that she was to become a normal person and that her days were to be filled with working a job she hated and taking care of Hana.

Starship had offered a contract with Sublime, desperately not wanting to lose her but she didn't want anything to do with them.

It wasn't until early February of 2021, her parents encouraged her to audition for another label. Her transition from idol to normal life was hard for them to watch; they saw how losing her fans saddened her and they wanted her to be able to find that happiness again.

Without her knowing, they had started looking for new companies, stumbling across Nebula Records.
