Personality: Doyoon has a very bright personality, knowing how to cheer those around him up and be entertaining. However, as he grew older he matured, knowing the time and place to be playful. He is also confident in himself, but very humble about it. Despite his overwhelmingly happy attitude, he is very sensitive and tends to cry a lot. He is also very clingy and very touchy, often looking for comfort in others.

Background: Park Doyoon was born and raised in Gwacheon, South Korea with his grandmother until he was 10, when she passed away. With no one else to take care of him, Doyoon was put in foster care the same year. His foster family had grown to love him quickly due to his bright personality. He grew up not really caring what people thought of him, just wanting to be happy with himself. Although loving how he was, his foster father told him that if he wanted to be adopted he would have to tone down a bit but he didn't listen. He believed that if a family wanted to adopt him, they should want him for him and not a false persona that he put on.

For a while, his foster father was right. For the first year or so, many families declined to take Doyoon in; most feared that they wouldn't be able to handle him. He remained in foster care for two years before being adopted by the Kim family in 2009. As he was the 4th addition to the family, he was excited to have brothers but with their age differences, there was a bit of a struggle. The only one that really opened up to him right away was Seojoon; with both having childish tendencies, they were seemingly a perfect fit for each other. Siwoon didn't start to warm up to Doyoon until a year into the younger being there and honestly Doyoon couldn't have been happier. Guanyu, on the other hand, could walk past Doyoon like he didn't exist.

Guanyu's attitude towards him troubled him a bit but per Siwoon's advice, he did his best to ignore him.

By the time Toshiro moved into the Kim household, they had moved to the countryside of Busan, Hwayoung and Jinwoong wanting to give the growing alphas more room. When Doyoon was 15, the Kim family was met with the unfortunate news that the hospital that Jinwoong had worked at would be shutting down, leaving the Hwayoung as their sole provider. As she was a well known pianist, money would not be a problem for the family, however to be able to continue with their being as comfortable as it was, the boys started a group with their schoolmate Kim Dohwong, calling themselves Un.it6. They didn't make much as a group but it was something they could say they did without the help of their parents. Un.it6 continued for 2 years until Jinwoong was able to start working again. With their father now working, they disbanded Un.it6 and focused on school, Doyoon going into fashion designing once he started college. He was thoroughly praised for his visuals but he wanted to be known for more than that. When he saw the flyer for Nebula Records after classes, he knew what his next venture would be.
