When Jason got home, he didn’t sleep. He prepared for his assault. He trained for hours on end, and by the sunrise, he was ready. Jason put on a prototype uniform he made for his vigilante activities. The suit had true bulletproof armor, a liquid like armor that was also hard on impact, a belt with smoke grenades, flash bangs, extra ammo, and two side holsters. The suit had an integrated hood, which was also armored. He puts the suit on, and grabs his custom guns, which could form into an assault rifle, or a sniper rifle at a moments notice. Jason had this constructed for an event like this. Lastly, he goes to a small compartment near his bed, and he takes out a red helmet. It had no visible facial features. On the inside, it had a heads up display, heat vision, area scan, and the sort. Again, he planned this for two years, and he was prepared for the debut of the Red Hood. In his old life, he never could have accomplished this. Now, that Ezra was dead, Jason was avenging him, and his family.

When Chloe arrived at Jason’s picked place, she sees him sitting down, hooded, sorting out some weaponry for his hunt against Damon.

“Here, Clo.” Jason voice sounded more mechanical, and he hands her a pistol. “Use this for defense. Yours has rubber bullets.” He also hands her a belt with extra clips. “Also take these.”

When Chloe equips the belt and the gun, Jason turns around and his appearance scares her. The red hood was covering his helmet. “Sorry, did I scare you?” Jason takes his helmet off and reveals his face.

“What the hell are you wearing, Jason?” Chloe asks, looking him up and down. She clearly looks confused, but Jason explains his suit to her. She just looks him up and down, but Jason’s gaze was on someone behind her.

“Chloe turn around,” Jason calmly says. “Don’t fire unless I say.”

As she turns around, she is startled by Frank Bowers, who looked horrible. Jason walks over to him and gives him a nod. “Frank.”

    “Jason.”

The two look at each other, and Frank says, “Damon’s in the mill. It burned down. But there’s still enough structure to have people in it. Damon’s got Sera there. He’s looking for you, kid.” Frank looks at him again and notices the armor covering most of his body. “But, it seems that you already knew that. I know you won’t listen to me, but I’d advise caution to both of you. He’s out for blood now.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing him again,” Jason responds. He thanks Frank for the information, and he tells him to go get patched up. Chloe turns to Jason, and looks at him.

“When are we getting Sera? And how long will my training take?” asks Chloe, wondering what he will teach her.

“Tonight. And 6 hours. Gun basics are easier to get a hold of, but the usage of knives and hand combat is harder.”

Jason sets his helmet down, and tosses Chloe an armored vest. “The armor might conform to your body, but don’t worry, it’ll still work.” Chloe puts the armor on, and instantly likes it.

“I’m allowed to keep this, right?” Chloe asks. Jason nods, and tells her that it’s time to begin her training.

After 4 hours, the pair look bruised and beat, but that doesn’t stop Jason from complimenting her on standing up to him this long. “Good job.”

Chloe, who is bent over, replies, “Jesus fuck, Jason. You really are good at this. But why are you training me? Won’t Damon be alone?”

Jason shakes his head sideways, and tells her that he’ll have some sort of protection. “He’s a coward. It’s in his nature.”

He finished Chloe’s training, and both were ready for the final attack on Damon.

Jason and Chloe, both in their armor, go back to the hospital, and request to see Rachel. They wore civilian clothes over the armor so they wouldn’t stand out.

“Ms. Amber is sleeping currently. I can get you when she-” says the nurse before she is interrupted by Rachel’s father.

“She’s awake,” says James. Jason nods, and let’s Chloe go in front of him and Mr. Amber.

“I’m going after Merrick. He and I have unfinished business, and he has Sera,” Jason says as the two men walk along the corridor slowly. James looks at him, concerned.

“What about your injuries, Mr. Todd?” James asks, genuinely concerned. “You have a concussion and multiple stab wounds.”

Jason smiles and tells him about the armor, and his helmet. James approved of the idea, and he lets Jason enter the hospital room.

Chloe and Rachel are already talking about what they were going to do when Jason walked in. Jason looks at them, and sits in a chair.

“Thank you, Jason. For everything you’re doing. You don’t have any idea how much it means to me that you’re doing this,” says Rachel. Chloe is holding her up so she doesn’t fall down. Jason nods, and tells her that he doesn’t plan on letting Damon live.

Jason tells Chloe that it’s time, and Chloe kisses Rachel on the forehead before leaving the room. They say good night to James as well.

    “What now?”

Jason looks at his car, going over the plan. “He’s going want money. I’m giving you $1,000 for the ransom. You don’t have full armor, so I’ll be your backup. Keep the gun on you at all times.”

The two get in his car, and begin driving towards the edge of town, towards their final destination.

“Chloe, can you drive? I need to get my gear on,” says Jason as he pulls over. He exits the vehicle, and looks at the burnt forest. So much destruction… It’s amazing that it didn’t reach Arcadia Bay.

When Chloe gets into the driver's seat, Jason hops in the back, shedding his civilian clothes. He straps on his belt and gun holsters, the ammo pouches, the extra holster which carries his unique knife. Finally, he grabs the helmet, and puts it on just as they arrive at the burnt and hollow mill.
