Siya's POV:

We are outside the ICU...

Waiting for Anant uncle who is inside CATH lab with Ajjo...

I wanted to talk to Anant uncle...I hope Ajjo is ok ..

Raghav literally carried Ajjo in his arms to hospital... Ajjo's cardiologist was not in India... That's when I recalled Anant uncle is also a cardiologist...

Thank god i called Ships and she asked Anant uncle to reach hospital on time...

The emergency department said it's a case of cardiac arrest and I saw Raghav take a step back... He looked shocked...The nurse gave us a form to fill in... Raghav wasn't in the state of mind.

I was still in senses so I asked them to give it to me and I filled the form...

While I was filling it up I saw Anant uncle come out and tell us that they have done an angiogram and there is a block and they may have to do an angioplasty...
Raghav froze.

I rushed to uncle asking
'What happened and how did it happen'

Anant uncle patted on my back saying
'We can discuss that later darling... We have to hurry the surgery'

Uncle told us with Ajja's age angioplasty isn't a good option but they had no choice left...We asked uncle to do the best treatment possible for Ajjo.

Anant uncle held my hand and said 'Be brave'

While the surgery was still going on we saw nurse come out and go...

The OT light was still on.

There were some junior doctor's visiting the OT.

Raghav was shivering but he wanted to know what's happening...he stopped a lady who seemed to be involved in the surgery and started asking her a few questions.

In no time I saw Raghav going from sad to angry...

I saw him clenching his fist... His eyes were full in tears...I wanted to know what happened..

My heart was beating nonstop...

I hope Ajjo is ok...

Only one thing ran in the back of my head...I hope Ajjo is fine....I was praying and praying nonstop...

The minute the doctor went back to OT, I went to Raghav and called him..

'Raghav...what did he say'

There was no reaction from him...

His back was still facing me...

I touched his shoulder and he turned around and the next minute I felt a push...

I almost hit the wall near the OT.

I was taken back by his reaction.

I couldn't register what happened...

He pushed me???

I went near him...

He pointed his index finger to me...

'You.... Leave!!!'

He said...

I could feel the rage in his voice...

I still preferred to ask him

'But Raghav...'

He cut me saying

'Just get lost I said... I don't want to see you here ...not for a minute nor a second...leave nowwwww' he screamed like a maniac...

His eyes were red... There were tears flowing from his burning eyes filled with rage and anger..his nose was red .. he was clenching his fist...I never saw this side of Raghav...I couldn't imagine he could get this angry...

It took me a few minutes to understand that he was angry and upset both..

But at me???

What did I do???

Why is he angry with me???

I tried to ask him...

This time he pushed me so hard that I was about to fall... somehow I balanced myself...

Why was his anger unleashed on me???

I was about to ask him...

That's when he said those words and I froze...

'How dare you...you tried to kill my grandfather??? How careless Siya'

Whattttt?

What did I hear???

Is he in his senses???

What did he just say...

I tried to reply with a heavy voice

'Raghav...what did I...'

'Shutup...just Shut your mouth Siya... I shouldn't have trusted a stranger...how could I'

He yelled holding his head in his hands...

Stranger???

Did he just call me a stranger???

'Raghav I'm your wif'

'Shutup!!! You are no one... You are.....you are a Mistake...that's all'

I was shocked...what is he saying...

Tears didn't stop flowing from my eyes while anger and hatred with pain gushed from his eyes in form of tears..

Just few mins back we were this close and now he is calling me a 'Mistake???'

I still tried to understand what happened

'Raghav ...but what have I done...' I asked in a broken voice

He came to me and pulled me by my arms and asked

'What did you feed him??? What did he choke upon??? The doctor who came just now told me Ajjo choked upon something... And looks like Ajjo missed his daily dose too'

I tried to tell him 'I just gave him home food...and I gave him his meds...'

Raghav pulled my arms harder ...I was in pain... He shook me up saying

'You gave him all that high cholesterol, spicy oily food??? How could you Siya...and how bloody dare you....' his eyes were red...

I got scared...

' And Ajjo didn't take his dosage of meds... He choked upon what he ate and he got a cardiac arrest...you tried to kill my grandfather...how dare you Siya...how the hell could you do this....if you didn't want to...you could have told me...i would tell Vishwa to take care of ajjo' and he pushed me hard...

I fell on the chair nearby...

I was shocked...

I gave ajja medicines...I remember... I handed it to him...

I tried to get up and reach Raghav that's when he screamed...

'Leave....just leave now...and mind you... If something happens to my ajja...I will destroy your existence...I swear!!!'

'But Raghav..once liste'

'Shutup and leave now... No one needs you here...get lost...everything is finisht between us'

I was shocked...

Tears didn't stop running down my cheeks..

Just then a nurse came and said

'Sir please...it's a hospital... please... maintain silence'

I was still in shock...

Those words 'No one needs you... Get lost... Everything is finisht between us' hammered in my ears and head...

In no time I realized I was at the reception and I don't know I just started walking...and it suddenly started raining...

Its like even the sky cried with me...else rains in the month of April that too Mangalore was a rare ...

I didn't know where to go...I kept walking...

Raghav's POV:

I didn't know what just happened few minutes back....

Should I inform mom dad??

What will I tell them???

Shall I call Namu???

Yes...No... What shall I tell them ... what happened...

The memory of Ajjo lying lifeless on the floor....I couldn't forget that... I still couldn't forget that sight...

I literally rushed him to this hospital but unfortunately Dr Shetty... dad's cardiologist was out of country...that's when Shilpa's dad Dr Anant Nayak rushed in... thankfully Siya was attentive enough to have called Shilpa and asked her dad to attend us...

Dr Anant Nayak was a well known cardiologist..I knew Ajjo was in the right hands...

I was however shocked when the emergency department announced it was a cardiac arrest and a complex case due to Ajja's age...I was heartbroken...

We were waiting outside OT...Dr Anant started the angioplasty as there was a block in Ajja's heart

A young woman who came out from OT ..I stopped her and asked showering hee with my doubts and questions...

I was literally taken back when she told me probably Mr Prabhu had a cardiac arrest due to him missing his meds dosage and due to him not informing anyone if the discomfort he felt... At times it's tough to identify if it was a acid reflux or cardiac arrest due to the food we eat...this may have choked him... She said that they had to get all of that off his throat...

What did you guys feed him...

I started clenching my fists and tears pricked me...

That's when Siya came to me and I couldn't control my anger. .

I wanted her to leave from there...

In my fit of anger...i don't remember what I said but I went on yelling at her...I don't even know what I started yelling all I knew was I wanted her out of my sight...

I wanted her out from here...

I didn't want her in the hospital... near my Ajjo ...

She tried to explain but I was in no mood to listen ..soon I saw her walk away ...I was real angry...I didn't care. My Ajjo was sinking and I couldn't loose him.

In about an hour... I saw the OT light was put off... They started shifting Ajjo to ICU...

I saw doctor's team come out and the doctor whom I spoke to before came out and said

'Dont worry.. operation was successful... Dr Anant will talk to you in a while..
Third right from here 2nd cabin ...please wait there... Dr Anant will meet you ...'

I nodded...

I went to the cabin that was empty as of now ..and i waited...

Suddenly I saw a tall and lean man come in...

'Hi Dr Anant...' he introduced himself...

'Raghav Prabhu...Mr Krishnakanth Prabhu's grandson'

'Oh ok ok... So you are Siya's husband right???' my blood boiled hearing her name... I however simply nodded a yes...

'Siya is like my daughter..you must be thankful to her presence of mind that she called Shilpa and reached me this quick... little late and we would have lost him....And thanks to our emergency department too who was ready with everything when Mr Prabhu was admitted...you must thank them all'

'But Dr Anant... what caused all this...I was told he choked on food'

To which Dr Anant replied saying

' Well..yes he did...but that's because probably he missed his dosage...Looks like he was on heavy meds....but I believe he was on an extremely old prescription... He was on medicine that was extremely high on dosage and also may I know which genius doctor prescribed him low BP meds...when he had high bp issues...who's the doctor!?? Extremely irresponsible!!!' he asked angrily...

I was shocked...

I didn't know what to say...

'When did he have a last echo? Or TMT ?'

As much as I remember...Dr Pai's assistants visited Ajjo at home ...And submitted his reports to Dr Pai...he wasn't took for any tests...I replied

'Dr Rajshekhar Pai???'.... He asked?

He left a sad laugh...

'This is the third case I'm seeing...I can't blame Dr Pai here...he is a busy man..but you guys...when a senior doctor sends his assistants who are literally interns to check on your grandfather everytime wasn't it your duty to pressurize him once to check upon your grandfather... atleast once a year..'

I was speechless...

'You guys are just lucky...he was responsive and choked upon food...else you would never know he would have slipped into coma with the meds prescribed to him.. even worse would have died in sleep due to wrong medication...He had a Block...thank God this happened and we discovered this... usually most cases when someone is if this age... Medication and care is ignored by people only to end up in death... But its extremely irresponsible reporting from whoever Dr Pai's assistants are... I am going to definitely check upon who is this junior doctor who prescribed these meds and how is Dr Pai so irresponsible to just sign them off...'

'But a patient's responsibility is also his family's responsibility.'

'Thank God he didn't have those meds today...with the low BP tablets gone in when he choked upon food. We would have lost him.'

I had tears in my eyes hearing that...

'Raghav...You must thank Siya ...she was really good to sort this emergency and pretty conscious to reach me out' he said...

But where is Siya...

Oh yes.

I let her go...

I blamed her...

I hurt her...

Shame on me...

I immediately tried calling her...her number was not reachable....

I saw outside and i noticed Mangalore was pouring...

Soon I felt a hand on my shoulder...

'Siya' I said. ...

But when I turned around I saw Naman standing there...

He was worried...

I hugged him...

'Hows Ajjo' he asked...

'They just did the angioplasty...he is stable.. but under observation tonight... We need to wait for him to wake up...

When did you come...How did you know' I asked as I was shocked seeing him early

He said 'The client wants to finalize the deal either with you or Harshita only...soi thought there's no point of staying back ..so I came... I wanted to surprise you and vanni so I went home...Vishwa told me about Ajja and I rushed in'

I was glad he came...

Just then he asked a question and I was speechless...

'Where is Siya Vanni' he asked...

I didn't know what to say...
