Himiko Toga

(Note: the reader has a severe form of anemia and has to have blood transfusions to survive. Not sure if this qualifies as angst, but here's a warning for depressing undertones)

"Miss (Y/N), you're friend Camie is here to see you," said the nurse as she gently opened the door to your hospital room. Standing behind her stood a rather curvy girl with light colored hair and large eyes. Adorned on her head was the Shiketsu High cap. You didn't attend that high school, but you knew exactly who it was. A light smile graced your face as you nodded to the nurse, signaling her to leave.

As soon as the nurse left you two alone, the girl turned towards the door and locked it. Slowly, her skin began to dissolve into a light colored substance on the floor as her true appearance stood before you. Closing your eyes, you blushed lightly while waiting for the girl to change into the spare clothes she brought.

"(Y/N)! I missed you so much," Himiko cheered as soon as she turned to face you. Her disguises remains dissolved on the floor as the petite girl stepped over it to embrace you in a tight hug. Returning the gesture, you burrowed your head into her shoulder hoping the hug wouldn't end.
Slowly, the girl before you pulled away before gracing you with her bright smile.

"I brought you a present," she said, face still dazzling with excitement.

"Please don't tell me-"

"It's blood," she happily interrupted, pulling out a few jars of the red liquid from her bag into your arms.

"Himiko, I can't except these," you mumbled, trying to hand them back to her. This wasn't the first time she's tried offering you blood. Though it was still rather frightening to know how Himiko obtained it, you would never leave her side intentionally.

"But these are some of the best blood samples I could find! Surely they can help you," she whined, grasping your hands tightly.

"The doctors can't just take jars of blood just like that. There's procedures and such..." you droned on, trying to come up with an excuse.

Sighing, the girl put the jars back into her bag and looked at the floor defeatedly.

"I just wanted to help you (Y/N)," she spoke as her eyes threatened to burst with tears.

Reaching forward, you grasped her hands with your own gently as a small smile formed on your face.

"I know you do. But your time is all I really need. I wish you'd visit more often," you confessed, rubbing your thumb across the back of her hand.

"I do too, but the league of villains has kept me so busy. Sometimes I wish I never joined them, but I want to make a difference (Y/N). I want to make things easier for us, so that in the future we can be happy together," she said, tears finally falling from her sparkling eyes.

"Himiko, I'm already happy whenever I'm with you. I love you after all," you responded, wiping away the tears on her face.

"I love you too. So much. I'd do anything to keep you safe," she exclaimed, holding onto your hand that cradled her face.

"I know. Now come here you big baby," you said, making room for her on your bed.

Smiling brightly, she climbed onto the hospital bed and cuddled into your side as you wrapped your arms around her, kissing the top of her head in the process.

"Stay with me for a little while longer," you whispered into her ear, snuggling closer into her embrace.

"Anything for my lovely (Y/N)."
