"...he was really cute"

That was the statement that caught you off guard. After a week of interning with a hero organization, you decided to take your girlfriend Tsuyu out on a date to the local cafe to catch up. But her sudden comment on the hero she worked with startled you.

"H-he was cute," you questioned rather loudly, eyes wide with questions.

"Yeah, he would do this cutesy look whenever he would praise me," she responded, not at all taken aback by her girlfriends concern.

"He would do something like this," she said before placing her hands on her cheeks and smiling widely.

You could've swore you saw sparkles fly around her as you blushed at her cuteness.

"H-he did that?! Are you sure you worked with Sea Rescue Hero: Selkie? Isn't he super macho," you questioned, trying to imagine such a large man trying to be cute.

"Yes, he looked really cute while he did it," she responded straightforward before sipping on her tea.

You didn't want to admit it, but you were slightly jealous. How could such a macho man be more cute than you?! There's no way, and you were gonna prove it to your girlfriend.

"So, you said he would do this," you said in the cutest voice you could pull off before cupping your cheeks with your delicate hands and smiling brightly at the girl in front of you.

A blush spread across Tsuyu's face as she noticed sparkles roam around your physique as you smiled brightly at her.

It was definitely a cuteness overload for the frog girl.

Unable to form an understandable sentence, she simply nodded her head and looked away.

Noticing her blush, you decided to step it up a notch.

"Do I look cute Tsu-Tsu," you questioned, leaning slightly closer as you noticed her body flinch at the nickname you had given her.

Cupping her cheek, you turned her head to face your pouting expression.

"Do I not look cute? Is Selkie cuter than me," you questioned, your voice going higher as fake tears threatened to spill from your eyes.

Noticing her flustered expression, you knew you had won her over.

"Y-yes, (Y/N), you look really c-cute. C-cuter than Selkie," she fumbled over her words while trying to look away.

Sparkles surrounded your physique once again as you happily smiled at her, cupping both of her cheeks before kissing her forehead.

"Ahh, I'm glad," you said in a voice of relief before retracting your hands and sitting back down properly.

"Why would you assume otherwise (Y/N)? You're the cutest person I've ever laid eyes on," she said quite bluntly, but you could tell by the burning blush on her cheeks that it took a lot of courage for her to muster up her comment.

A similar blush dusted your cheeks as you looked away in embarrassment, but you immediately turned to face her as you felt her hand interlace with your own.

"I really do have the cutest girlfriend after all," she spoke proudly before leaning forward to peck your cheek.

You may have won against Selkie in obtaining Tsuyu's heart, but she always won at getting you flustered with her blunt comments.
