Denki Kaminari

Soulmate AU: When you come in contact with your soulmate for the first time, you feel a "spark."

Kaminari was certain that he'd never know for sure who his soulmate was considering the fact every time he made contact with someone, he'd "spark" then. Of course, his quirk did allow him to get some numbers from desperate girls searching for their soulmate, but once they realized his quirk, they knew it was a sham.

Most of his friends had already found their soulmate and tried to reassure him that the spark he'd feel once he met his would feel different, but of course, there was no guarantee. For all he knew, he could've already "sparked" with his soulmate.

For (Y/N), her friends warned her about the "shocker" of their school. Kaminari was known as a major flirt who would actually "shock" people into thinking that they were soulmates with his quirk. Of course, this was only a rumor, but word spreads after you've shocked the majority of the female population within the school.

You've never made contact with the boy before, but you have seen bolts of electricity dance around him whenever people bumped into him in the hallways. Surely it was only a glitch in his quirk and not intentional, yet his reputation as a playboy stuck.

Determined to prove the rumors wrong, you made it your mission to test his "shock." You haven't exactly met your soulmate, yet you were certain that his shock would be different compared to a soulmates touch.

That night at dinner, you decided to learn more about the matter before testing your theory.

"Mom, dad, what was it like when you two realized you were soulmates," you questioned while your parents ate.

"It was magical! It felt as if fireworks exploded throughout my body, and I just knew automatically that he was the one," your mother exclaimed cheerfully.

"Our hands barely touched as we passed by each other that day, but the "shock" was so strong it left me breathless and stuck in place. I couldn't look away from your mother until my eyes finally forced me to blink. It really was an unforgettable moment for me," your father exclaimed, happily thinking over the chance encounter.

"You wouldn't have happened to have finally met your soulmate, would you," you mother questioned, grasping your hand tightly.

"Not yet mom. It's just there's this boy in my school with an electricity quirk that's been "shocking" people and I wanted to prove that his "shock" would be different compared to a soulmates," you confessed, watching as your parents sighed out in relief.

"I'm sure his quirk would feel a lot different compared to a soulmates "shock." His touch might be a bit painful, but a soulmates touch feels like heaven on earth," your mother sighed out dreamily before lacing her free hand with your fathers.

Excusing yourself from the table, you schemed up a plan to prove Kaminari innocent.

"What is it about him that makes me want to protect his reputation so bad," you questioned yourself before a light blush dusted your cheeks. You've never really talked to the boy before, but from what you've seen, he is quite attractive. Slapping your cheeks lightly, you removed the thought of him from your mind as you readied yourself for bed.

Walking into your school, you looked around for the familiar blonde. Once your eyes landed on him, a dreamy smile graced your face as a light blush dusted your cheeks. Making your way towards him, a pair of arms wrapped around you and led you in the opposite direction.

"What do you think you're doing? Do you realize how close you got to Kaminari? He could've zapped you," your friend yelled out once successfully pulling you into your classroom.

"He's not a bad kid, he's just...misunderstood," you said defensively.

"Whatever, just keep your distance next time," she mumbled before making her way to her seat.

You knew she had good intentions at heart, but you were too determined to prove them wrong to listen to the warnings.

The school day seemed to pass by quickly while you schemed plans on how to approach the boy, and before you knew it, the dismissal bell rang. Shooting up from your seat, you quickly made your way out of the classroom before your friend could interfere with your plan again.

Maneuvering your way through the hallway, you looked back and forth trying to find the electric boy only to run straight into a hard chest, and then you felt it.

Sparks twirled around the two of you as you felt butterflies in your stomach. The background noise faded away as time seemed to slow down. All you could focus on was his golden eyes that stared back at you. You finally felt his shock, yet you knew deep down it wasn't his quirk affecting you, and by the way his gaze looked back at you, you knew he was thinking the same thing.

"It's you," the both of your breathed out after what felt like an eternity of staring wide eyed.

"Did you feel it too," you breathed out, gaze never wavering from his own.

"Yeah, I did," Kaminarisighed out dreamily before his eyes open wide with panic.

"I swear it wasn't my quirk! It was totally different this time, I promise," he hurriedly exclaimed as bolts of electricity jumped around him.

Laughing, you stepped closer to the boy and wrapped your arms around him in a warm hug. You could feel your hair beginning to rise due to the static electricity emitting from the boy as your heartbeat quickened.

"I know. I believe you," you said into his chest.

It seemed to take a moment for the situation to process intoKaminari's head, but once it did, his arms wrapped around your form in a tight hug.

"I'm so glad I finally met you," he breathed out into your hair.

"It was quite "shocking" getting to meet you soulmate," you exclaimed before pulling away from the hug as you laughed at your terrible pun.

"Oh, so you like puns huh, well you're definitely gonna love me," Kaminarisaid as a wide smile graced his face before wrapping his arm around your shoulder and leading you down the now abandoned hallway.

"I knew his shock would be different"
