Toru Hagakure (part 1)

"Gah, I need a girlfriend," you complained to your friends surrounding you at the lunch table.

"(Y/N), you're a strong, independent, babe. You don't need no man or wo-man," responded Mina as she huffed at your moping form.

"But I want someone to cuddle with! Someone who'll watch romcoms with me in a pillow fort and then listen to me complain about how stupid the whole thing was. Looks don't even matter to me, I just want someone to be beside me. You know what I mean," you droned on, fantasizing about your ideal perfect date, not noticing the clothes floating in mid air beside you flinch.

"(Y/N), did you just say that looks don't matter," the invisible girl questioned excitedly.

"Well of course they don't matter! As long as the person has a good heart, I'll be just fine with that. Besides, I'm partially blind anyways without my contacts," you jokingly responded, pointing to your eyes in the process.

"Then go on a date with me," Toru shouted, drawing many looks your way. Your friends looked on in shock at your blushing expression as invisible hands grasped your own.

"W-what," you stuttered, unsure if you misread the situation. Surely the cutest (personality wise that is) girl in your class wasn't asking you out. Maybe she was just pitying you or joking around. Why would she want to go out with you anyways?

"You said looks don't matter to you (Y/N), and considering the fact I have no looks, I think I qualify as the perfect candidate for your heart," she responded, just as cheerful as always.

"Toru, you don't mean that, do you," you questioned, looking down shyly.

"Of course I do! I think you're super duper great (Y/N). You're absolutely stunning and your personality never fails at brightening my day. Not to mention your quirk is amazing. You're a total catch after all," she raved on, making the blush on your cheeks darken in color.

Noticing your lack of a response, Toru released her hold on your hands and backed away a little.

"If you don't reciprocate my feelings (Y/N), I understand. But I really really like you, and I hope that you'll at least give me a chance," she said in a discouraged tone.

Looking up quickly, you made up your mind that what she said was the truth. There's no reason for her to lie anyways, so what's the harm in going out on one date.

"I'd love to go on a date with you Toru!" You shouted, surprising yourself at your sudden confession and the others around you due to how loud your voice was.

As soon as the words left your mouth, a tight grip pulled you into a hug.

Shakily, you wrapped your arms around the girl in front of you and returned her affection.

"I'll bring the snacks and movies if you make the pillow fort," she said cheerfully, pulling you away from her comfortable embrace.

"Deal!"
