Once it was lunch I headed to miss Kelly's room. I got informed by max that she was the schools shrink. Which I replied with "great they think I'm struggling already" and she replied with "you are struggling though". I didn't argue back because it wasn't like she was lying. She was stating a fact.

Knock knock. "come in" a kind voice shouted.

I walked into the office it was quite dim. I would have thought a shrinks room would be painted with nice colours to brighten up the mood. I looked at the woman who was sending me a smile.

She pointed to the seat in front of her which I took after placing my bag down.

"you must be y/n?" I nodded. "nice to meet you. I would have spoken to you yesterday but I lost my key and well time just went by so fast".

She did talk a lot. I thought shrinks where supposed to listen to your problems. "anyway enough of me. How are you feeling with the school. I was told by your..."

"mom" I finished her sentence as she seemed to not know what I called her.

"yes as I was told by your mom you weren't very educated when growing up. Please feel free to tell me why"

I took a deep breath which made me realise my shoulders where quite tense. "well growing up I was passed from house to house" this technically wasn't a lie as I was passed from my home to the lab. "i- well me and my mom where trying to escape from... Papa and he shot her and I wasn't there to comfort her when she died and" I stopped myself as I was going to far and I felt guilty for lying. But once again it wasn't really a lie it was a metaphor in a way.

"oh honey. I'm so so sorry" she wrote down something on her piece of paper. "I'm sorry if this comes out the wrong way but... You look very tired are you getting much sleep?" I knew I looked a bit rough from the sleepless nights but I didn't know it was that noticeable.

"oh just all these years of no school and homework" I tried to think of a lie. "it's hard to manage my time so I have spent late nights up studying and doing homework" she frowned.

"I know I just met you y/n, but with my job I trained myself to know when someone is lying" my heart sunk to my stomach. "so please tell me the truth" I felt bad for lying but I've never been a sharing type of person. I hide me feelings because I'm embarrassed about them. But maybe if I told her about the nightmares it could help.

"I've been having these... nightmares. They feel so real and I wake up with a cold sweat" just then my nose started to bleed. Had I used my powers? I looked over to the corner to see the lamp flickering. Shit I must have been doing something to it. I had never used my powers without knowing before well apart from the time I made an orderly trip over because he shouted at me and once again the only way I realised was because my nose was bleeding.

"oh here" she quickly handed me a tissue interrupting my train of thoughts.

"sorry about that. It's just a common thing" I knew she wouldn't find this mysterious because I wasn't lying this time.

"well thank you for sharing this information and it's common to be experiencing nightmares after things like this happen. Its probably ptsd" what's ptsd

"right you have done your mini 5 minute sanction so you are free to go now" we both said our goodbyes and exchanged smiles.

I headed to the cafeteria where I was immediately met by Eddie." your sandwiches are so gooooodd" I was caught off surprise. "thanks I guess". I walk off to buy lunch. It wasn't the best food but it was better than the labs. Today there was a basketball match on which I had been invited too go to by lucas but I had to decline as I was staying at max's.

It was now the end of the school day and max and I walked back to hers. "I did invite 011 to come with us but she totally has a crush on Mike because she said oh I'll go to the basketball match just incase Mike goes" she let out a laugh. "I knew it as soon as she met him. It was so obvious" I laughed along.

We where in the middle of our movie when a loud barking sound distracted us. "ah shoot I've gotta go feed the dog" she got up to get some food.

"omg I'll come with you I haven't seen a dog I YEARS" I say excitedly

I was face to face with the dog. I blinked letting a tear slip down my face. "don't be weak 004" papas husky voice said through the speakers. In a way I think the dog knew what was about to happen. I could tell by its eyes and it movements.

I focused on it hearing the needle scratch against the paper and numerous machines beeping. My head pounding. My powers where too weak just like papa said I was weak.

"kill it"

Just then the dog let out a whimper which was followed by blood splattering against my face. My breath was shakey and my eyes were filled with tears, the only thing I could see were two separate parts of a dog and crimson table that was once white. What have I done.

Papa placed his hand on my cheek wiping away a tear.

"well done 004"

We where feeding the dog the food but it was distracted by something else. "what's wrong with it?"

"I'm not sure" max replied wiping her hands off on her trousers.

Just then eddie came speeding down the road. His tires making a loud noise against the gravel. We looked to see who he was with as he went to the other side of the van to open the door.

"chrissy?" both me and max whisper. Sending each other shocked looks.

At this point the dog was howling but we just tried to ignore it. "shh" max kept on instructing. "well I would have never put Eddie and chrissy together" she stood up and went to go to the door. Just before we entered I heard shouting. "come on y/n it's cold and I don't want to miss the rest of the movie"

"but wait what's that noise?" the sound of Eddie practically screaming like a little girl running out of his trailer answered my question. Me and max sent confused looks to each other. And before we acknowledge what else happened eddie was speeding off in his car. "bad trip?" we both raised our shoulder and headed back in.

"y/n can you hear me" I just ignored it and went back to sleep. "FOR CHRIST'S SAKE 004 ANSWER ME OVER" it was Dustin. I shot up from the couch and headed over to my bag where my walkie was. "what is it now Dustin? over"

"finally. We need your help?" I rolled my eyes. "with what?" at this point I just wanted to go back to sleep. Max was sat up rubbing her eyes.

"we need you help finding eddie, something happened last night and Jason is super pissed at him, he's got a gun" I sighed. But then it clicked

"is that why he ran out of his trailer screaming last night and leaving chrissy in there" I dropped the walkie on the floor and went to look out of the window to Eddie's trailer.

"max I think something bad has happened"

When we walked out of max's trailer we saw police swarming the area and Eddies trailer. "shit"

We met Dustin and his friends, Steve and robin at there work. "oh thank god you're here" he was stood around the side of the store. "I need you guys to help me phone some people to try and find where Eddie is? Please"

"fine" is all we both said.

"sorry but no one knows anything" Steve says. "yeah I've already tried 12 people and there's nothing" Robin added. Just then Dustin gave me a look I was already used to.

"no absolutely not. No no no" I went to grab my bag but he stopped me in my tracks. Robin and Steve looking at us clueless. He then gave me his poor attempt of puppy eyes. "fine" I gave in. He ran up to the door turning the open sign to say closed. We all went behind the desk area so I was hidden. I sat on the floor with my legs crossed and held out my hand, which Dustin placed a cloth in.

"what is she doing" Steve stopped me. "she has superpowers she can like track people down, project memories and feelings to people it's like super cool" max blabbed on. Leaving Steve and robin in shock. I wrapped the cloth around my eyes and focused soon feeling the blood drip down my nose onto my lip. "whoa" Steve said like a kid followed by the sound of someone hitting his shoulder.

I looked around the void soon a house formed. "there's a house" I looked around the surrounding area. "it's next to a lake and loads of trees". I walked into the building that was next to the house. "he's surrounded by a blue light or some blue blanket"

"perfect" Dustin added. Robin gave a confused look. "typical Eddie. He's staying at one of the suppliers homes. He took me there before and I almost got kidnapped because he wouldn't give the guy his extra 2 dollars"

"oh yeah that um... Reefer Rick"
"that's the one"

We all got up and headed to Steve's car. While on the drive there Steve and robin where constantly asking me questions. "look you can't tell anyone though". "of course not" they both agreed knowing how much danger I could get in if anyone else found out.

We headed in the huge shed. But there was nothing. I heard Steve and Dustin bickering about something but I wasn't paying enough attention to know exactly what it was about. Suddenly eddie pounced out from the boat holding a bottle to Steve's throat. Everyone instantly started to try and calm him down. But I chose a different approach. I lifted him into the air with my right hand.

He threw the galss bottle toward me but I stopped it with my left hand. "Eddie please calm down" he instantly stopped kicking about and calmed so I lowered him. He told us what had happened last night and why me and max had seen him running and screaming to his van. I felt so bad for him.

I explained my powers to him and he agreed to let me and the others see it. Even though he was extremely sad he was still showing his idiot side when refusing to hold hands with me to be able to see his memory.

"hunt the freak right?" was all he said after he showed us the memory.
