Don't Mess With My Pack {Part 3}

Final part! Enjoy!

My head turned to the door and I saw Kanan, Ezra, Kayla, and Sabine.

They came...

Turning my attention back to Atlas, I Force jumped over him before he could crash into me.

"Atlas, stop! This isn't you!" I cried out.

Atlas arched his back and snarled at me. The more he did this, the less I recognized him.

He would never growl or snarl at me, so him doing this is makes me feel so uncomfortable.

Baring his teeth, Atlas charged at me once more. I quickly stepped to the side and cringed when Atlas ran into the wall.

Sorry, buddy...

Sighing, I turned back to my friends with a look of concern.

"Guys, get out of here!" I cried.

"No way! We're not leaving you!" Ezra said.

Hearing grumbling, I turned around to see Atlas shake out his ruffled fur. My eyes welled with tears at the sight. Atlas's eyes were no longer ice blue, for they were now a bright red.

Atlas... no...

Atlas let out a loud, deep howl that was almost deafening.

"Zelara, get out of there!" Kayla cried.

"NO! I'm not leaving him!" I said.

Looking up at Glenora, I growled and glared at her.

"Let them go!" I shouted.

"Or what? You are in no position to make demands, Wolf Jedi... You don't want your friends to get hurt, do you?" Glenora asked, snapping her fingers.

The other Loth-wolves rose to their feet and growled at the others.

...No...

The other Loth-wolves barked and began making their way towards the others.

"RUN!" I cried.

My friends jumped out of the way before the wolves could get them. The minute I turned back to Atlas; he was already inches away from me. Quickly using Force speed, I moved out of Atlas's way.

"Aralez, I'm so sorry! Please, I need your help! Lend me your strength!" I cried.

When I broke out of Force speed, I felt my ears and tail dissolve. Then, a familiar blue light hopped out of my chest. In an instant, Aralez appeared.

"I never left you, you know?" Aralez asked.

"I'm sorry for what I said." I said.

"I understand. You love Atlas very much."

Suddenly, Aralez started glowing and growing. When the light died down, a Loth-wolf, similar-looking to Atlas was standing in front of me.

"Aralez...?" I asked.

The Loth-wolf turned to me and nodded. My eyes widened in surprise.

I didn't know she could turn into a Loth-wolf. That's pretty incredible.

Aralez bent down and gestured her head to her back. Nodding, I climbed on top of her. Standing up, she turned her attention back to Atlas and growled; Atlas snarled in return. Both charged at each other and began to fight.

There's got to be a way to get Atlas and the other Loth-wolves back, but how...?

Looking up at Glenora, I saw some kind of device around her head. It looked very similar to what Atlas and the others were wearing.

That's it!

Standing up on Aralez's back, I Force jumped up on the catwalk where Glenora was.

"What are you going to do Wolf Jedi? Kill me?" she asked.

"I should, but vengeance is not the way of the Jedi. I learned that now... Instead, I'm putting an end to this, once and for all." I said.

Glenora chuckled and clapped her hands.

"Bold words from someone who went on a killing spree not too long ago. Besides, all the Empire wants is for you to be dead, so I'll give you a choice: death by your wolf friends, or by the Empire?" Glenora asked.

"Neither, because I'm not dying today, and I won't need my lightsaber to beat you." I said.

Using the Force, I called upon my fallen weapon. Once it returned to me, I attached my weapon to my belt.

"Go ahead, Wolf Jedi. You have the first move." Glenora said.

Clenching my fists, I charged at Glenora and started throwing punches. The general casually dodged my punches like they were nothing.

"Is that the best you've got?" Glenora asked, catching one of my fists.

Growling at the general, I swept my leg underneath her and watched as she fell on the metal bridge. Taking this opportunity, I brought my fist down on the general. Unfortunately, she rolled out of the way and my fist slammed into the metal.

Being someone who's used to slamming their fists into metal, this was nothing.

Once Glenora stood up, I immediately started throwing punches once more, only this time, Glenora had a hard time keeping up. Once I saw my opening, I whammed my fist in Glenora's face, causing her to stumble backward. Keeping up the pressure, I kicked the general to the ground and placed a foot on her chest to hold her down.

"Let. Them. Go..." I hissed.

"As if I'd ever. I'd rather die than give up the next best thing for the Empire." Glenora said.

Now's my chance!

Reaching down, I yanked off the device from Glenora's head. Not missing a beat, I crushed the metal headpiece and let the remains fall from my hand.

"NO!" Glenora cried.

Looking over at the other Loth-wolves, I saw that they had completely stopped moving. Motionless as if they were statues.

I hope that did the trick...

Kicking Glenora to the side, I jumped down from the catwalk and landed in between Atlas and Aralez. Staring up at Atlas, I didn't flinch when he growled at me. Reaching up, I took off the helmet and dropped it on the ground. Not missing a beat, Aralez stepped on it, causing pieces to fly across the courtyard. Breathing out, I cupped Atlas's head in my hands and placed my forehead on his.

"Come back to me, Atlas... Please..." I pleaded.

I felt my beloved friend's steady heartbeat and breathing, both in rhythm with each other.

Please, Atlas... Return to me...

Looking up, I smiled widely at the sight. Atlas's once red eyes were back to icy blue.

"Atlas...?" I asked.

My friend nodded with an inward smile. Overwhelmed by joy, I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I'm so glad to have you back..." I said.

Atlas grumbled and nuzzled his large head against my cheek. Pulling away, I ran over to the other Loth-wolves and detached the helmets. Shaking their heads, their red eyes went back to either yellow or blue.

"Welcome back, everyone." I said.

The Loth-wolves all bowed their heads.

"Zelara, are you okay?" Sabine asked, running up to me.

"I am. I was just about to ask you guys the same thing." I said.

"We're fine. We're just glad that you're okay." Kanan said.

My smile faded and I averted my friends' gaze.

"I'm so sorry, everyone... I didn't mean to go off like that..." I said.

"You had every right to be upset, Zel." Kayla said.

"I don't think I've ever seen you so mad before. It was actually kind of scary." Ezra said.

I wiped away the tears that were forming and smiled sheepishly at my Padawan.

"NO!" cried a voice.

Looking up at the catwalk, I saw Glenora beginning to rise.

"You've ruined everything!" Glenora cried, aiming her blaster at us.

Suddenly, I saw the Loth-wolves gather around the others and I and start growling at the general.

"That's a risky move if you shoot us. Try and kill us, and they'll kill you where you stand." I said.

Both Atlas and Aralez walked in front of me and barked at Glenora. I could practically see the general trembling in fear. With a grin, the general put away her blaster.

"Well, then I guess this a goodbye." she said.

As if on cue, we heard a loud explosion come from the other side of the courtyard doors. I watched as the general turned tails and walk through the doors behind her.

"We have to get out of here!" Kayla said.

Not wasting any time, I quickly climbed on Atlas's back.

"Everyone hop on a wolf! Hurry!" I cried.

Nodding, the other four did what I said.

"Go, Atlas! Go!" I said.

Atlas snarled and ran out of the courtyard with the rest of the pack in tow. The wolves weaved their way down the many halls until we were out on a high cliff. Looking behind us, we watched as the Empire's outpost turned into rubble.

Good riddance...

"All right, let's head back to Hera and the others so we can take these guys home." I said.

"Good idea." Ezra said.

Telling him where to go, Atlas started sprinting down the cliff, the rest of the pack trailing behind. Venturing through canyons and leaping over cliffs, we soon arrived at the Astradamus. I saw Hera look up and smile.

"You made it." Hera said.

"And you found the Loth-wolves." Diella said, running her hand down Striker's muzzle.

"Yeah. It wasn't easy, though." I said, dismounting Atlas.

"I can only imagine." Nerezza said.

"Let's make sure these guys get back home." Zeb said.

Leading the Loth-wolves on the ship, Kayla went into the cockpit and powered up the ship. Once I closed the ramp, the Astradamus left the ground and blasted off into space. I looked around at the Loth-wolves and smiled. Suddenly, I saw one of the Loth-wolves begin to glow. Knowing who it was, I smiled when Aralez appeared.

"You could've told me you could turn into a Loth-wolf, you know?" I asked.

"Yeah, but like you, I love a grand entrance." Aralez said.

Shaking my head fondly, I walked up to Atlas and placed my forehead on his.

"I missed you, buddy. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you around..." I said.

Atlas grumbled and gently bumped his nose with mine. Smiling, I wrapped my arms around his neck. Letting go, I ran my hand down his muzzle.

"Well, don't you two look happy?" said a voice behind me.

Turning around, I saw Kayla.

"Hey, Kay." I said.

Kayla beamed and walked up to me.

"You doing okay?" Kayla asked.

"I'm better than I was before. You... saw what I did back at that outpost, right...?" I asked.

"I never knew you'd go as far as that. We followed the trail you left behind." Kayla said.

I let out a deep, defeated sigh.

"I didn't... mean to do that. I was just so angry and upset... and hurt..." I confessed.

"I understand." Kayla said.

"We both do." Aralez said, joining the conversation.

Atlas grumbled and nestled his cheek against mine. Chuckling, I wrapped my arm under his head and embraced him.

"Thanks guys." I said.

Kayla patted my head before heading back to the cockpit; Aralez turned back into a blue light and disappeared when she hit my chest. I was left alone with my pack in the hanger.

I'm so glad to have Atlas and the others back again. He and the others, they're my family; my pack. Like the rebels, I don't know what I would've done if I lost them. The Loth-wolves made me who I am; they made me the Wolf Jedi...

I had a blast writing these parts. I hope you had a blast reading them. I know they were shorter than most, but I still had fun making these. I have no idea what the next part will be. Let me know what you want to see next. Remember, we only have a week and four days left before this ends, so leave me your suggestions. May the Force be with You!
