Mystical Fortune (Marissa Zold, aka Madame Zodiac)

"Go on ahead, Clark" He whispered, his hand over the shoulder of his fellow hero. He looked behind, looking at the unconscious woman who had ultimately helped the two of them in this bout that they had recently ended. He needed to know if she was alright, help her in anything that she may need. It was the least he could do for the woman with magical powers. It was his mission as Batman, to help everyone so that they won't experience anything he did in his past.

"Whatever you say, Bruce" Bruce Wayne, better known as the vigilante called Batman, only scoffed slightly. Though he knew that Superman understood what he had to do. It was something that Bruce knew the alien would also do. But since he was more involved in this situation, he felt the need to be the one to help her. He even remembered the moment that the evil persona of the woman, a body created by magic, even kissed him on the lips while he was possessed by an entity called Zodiac. "Let me know if you need any help"

"I'll be fine" He simply answered, not looking back as the alien flew away back to his city. He moved slowly towards the body of the female witch, his eyes analyzing the situation closely. Physically, he could not see anything wrong with the female, which begged the question of what was happening to her at this moment. He could guess that it was something based around magic exhaustion, but he was no expert in the topic.

He knelt down, his hand going straight towards her neck. His hand pressed softly on one of the veins. He needed to confirm that she was indeed unconscious and not dead. He had made that mistake in the past, and was not going to commit it ever again. Thankfully for the woman, he felt a soft throb of her blood flowing through her body. It made him sigh in slight relief at knowing that the woman who had helped them was alive. He picked her up, her body felt light to the force that he exerted.

"Let's get you somewhere safe..." He began to walk away, the woman positioned in his arms protectively. He needed to get to the Batcave as soon as possible, he needed help with treating her medically. He could thankfully contact Alfred and make him ask for help. His butler, who was more family that he would let anyone believe, knew a few people that had medical history. He just needed to do his job and get the female to safety. The faster that he would be able to act, the better for her. Time was against the two of them, and he needed to be faster than he has ever been.

Time Skip

He waited patiently besides the female magical user, his cowl still in place even after all the time he had spent there. Knowing that she was slowly recuperating was more than enough for him, letting him know that someone's life would be able to continue thanks to him. He kept his eyes on the monitor that was keeping in check of the heart pulse, not watching any changes in the machine. He needed to try and find a way to see if with magic he could help the witch in any sort of way.

His mind kept thinking of any other people that he could contact to be able to help her, but he didn't know many people with magical powers. And those people that he knew, he definitely did not trust fully. He knew that with time, trust would be built but it would be a long time before then. Though what made him react slightly was the soft twitch of her hand, which brushed against his own. He looked directly into her face, his eyes noticing that her upper eyelid was twitching softly.

"Marissa?" He tried calling her name out, a sudden guess from his part. He didn't know if he would get anything in return from her part, but he at least had to try. Thankfully, a soft groan coming from her throat was more than enough to let him know that she was slowly waking up. He kept staring at her, carefully looking just how her blue eyes once again saw the world. Fluttering and groggily, the eyelid of the female in front of him moved; yet there was nothing he could do until she fully woke up from her unconscious state.

"W-Where am I?" He smiled a bit, though it was more of a sudden twitch of his lips before his lips adjusted themself to a position he preferred them to be. He was happy to see that the female occultist was alright, never wanting to let another person down in his life. He already had suffered enough, and he was not going to allow himself to keep on stocking even more suffering to the one he already had hidden inside. "Batman? J-Just what happened?"

"You were unconscious, Marissa. Superman and I finished the job" He could see just how she smiled softly. It reminded him of the evil version of Marissa, one born from the magic she utilized. He could never control what she wished to do with her powers, there were hers after all. But he would try to direct her, to maintain a path that was sure to not bother any evil that may rest beyond the walls of their universe. He had enough with some evil entity trying to take over his body.

"I... I'm free from her?" He knew what she meant. He understood that while she had confronted her evil version, she still feared her for what she let her experience. Chained to a wall without being able to move freely could be traumatic to some people. He was no one to judge what people feared. He fears bats, yet it was because of said fear that he manifested it in his vigilante persona. To instill the same fear that bats made him feel on others. He finally nodded his head, answering the question of the occultist that was slowly waking up. "Thank you, my adored..."

"What?" He was perplexed at the words that came out of her mouth. He noticed that she brightly blushed, looking away from his deep stare. But he sighed in response, probably something to do with the union of both good and bad versions of Marissa Zold uniting as one. He smiled at the woman, caressing her bright red hair softly. He didn't expect any reaction from her, yet the slight glance he saw from her was more than enough to tell him that she felt attracted to him. He would take his time reciprocating her feelings, not wanting to pressure things. But he knew that if the memory of his kiss with her, while he was indeed possessed by a dark entity, kept repeating over and over again; he knew that it would be just a matter of time.
