Freezing Sensation (Caitlin Snow, aka Frost)

She was smiling, a soft giggle escaping from her lips. She was finally free, her eyes watching the scenery before her. The lush forest was very beautiful, the small lake nearby giving a freshness to the air that she had not smelled in a long time. She didn't have to worry about being locked away any longer, the chip on her neck had been removed as a petition from someone she was indebted with. Because she was finally able to do whatever she may want to do without any repercussion from the ones that had manipulated her into being in the Suicide Squad.

"I'm here..." She whispered, her smile widening slightly as she extended her arms as far as she could. She still was thinking that this was a nightmare, that in seconds she would wake up and be once again behind bars and listening to the frantic shouts of the inmates. But she could manage to feel everything around her, every single sensation hitting her entire body. She let out a soundless chuckle, her eyes closing momentaneously as she just concentrated on the nature around her. "I'm really here. I'm finally free..."

"That is right, Caitlin" She opened her eyes, a smile still in place as she looked behind her. Her blue eyes immediately caught the presence of the Dark Knight standing in front of what he liked to call the "Batplane". She still had a smile on her face, though she shifted her eyes a bit, looking at the hero in front of her with caring eyes. It was all thanks to him that she was able to finally rest easy without the fear of her head exploding. "You earned this moment" She wanted to chuckle loudly, though she just let out a soft chuckle. She didn't know about earning her freedom, her mind only caring about that she was finally free from the hell hole. She didn't want to be near prison or the Suicide Squad any time soon. She may have formed some bonds while on that team, but she preferred to be outside just enjoying her life. Though since gaining her powers and thinking about it slightly, she knew that she could make a difference for the better. "Today... and every single day since you saved the League"

She wanted to cry a bit, her pale blue skin darkening greatly as she could feel the heat around her cheeks. The words stated by the hero meant the world to her. Just being recognized by him was able to let her know that her actions were appreciated, even if it was just him at this moment in time. She didn't care about anyone else's opinion, if she had to be honest. He had been the one who saved her from being locked away once more. He even threatened Amanda Waller, the one who recruited her into the Suicide Squad, to release her from her grasp. She would be eternally grateful for Batman's actions for her.

"Are you ready for what comes next?" She smirked his way, her head immediately nodding as she approached the hero slowly. She was more than ready to leave behind her actions as Killer Frost. She would never be a killer again. She wanted to help people, it felt gratifying in some way. She could even notice it when she had been able to do good while in the Suicide Squad, but this felt different. She felt happier, and even warmer just by hearing the truthful gratitudes from civilians.

She saw Batman extend his hand slightly, her eyes looking at the hand briefly before looking at him in the eyes. She wanted to quickly grasp it, taking advantage of her freedom to gather more heat around her. She did not want to die from hypothermia, she wanted to enjoy her life as much as she could. But she knew that she couldn't just keep doing what she had been doing in prison to survive. She now had to search for a way to continuously obtain heat so as to not die in the near future.

"Is your hunger controlled?" She remembers each moment when she stole heat from others. Her hip collided with someone else as they all walked through the cafeteria of the prison, the well placed hand on her shoulder when the officer was about to push her straight towards her room, the entire arm she grabbed while training with another member of the Suicide Squad, her leg tripping an inmate that had bothered her, accepting the cup of coffee from Harley Quinn, and from the doctor that would often do check ups on them to inform Amanda Waller about. She could remember each instance that she had done to steal heat from others.

"Honestly, not completely..." She admitted, not wanting to lie to the man that had saved her from the closest thing she saw as hell. She immediately saw a frown under the cowl, her eyes watching him begin to ponder her words. She wanted to know what he was thinking right now, but she really did not want to push her luck. She was happy enough to be given another chance at doing whatever she wanted to do without the risk of her brain blowing to bits. "But I feel like I am ready for anything"

"I need you in top shape... WIthout the risk of your health" She heard a soft click nearby, her eyes glancing all around her looking to see what had happened. Focusing her eyes to the right, she saw just how one of the Batplane's compartments opened slowly. She watched with a very shocked expression just how a suit had been stored inside. She didn't think it was possible, all of her investigations had been failures. But just staring at it gave her hope. "Thanks to your research, I was able to develop a thermal suit that should be able to monitor your extreme hypothermia case"

"T-Thank you..." She didn't know what else to say in this situation. He really was her guarding angel, protecting her every step of the way. She was now able to live her life in whichever way she really wanted. Her dark blue lips kissed the corner of the hero's lips in an instant, her cheeks now a purple-ish color. She was beyond happy for everything she had received that day. Not only did she finally have her freedom, but a way to control her powers while probably still being able to use them. She had everything she wanted and then some. She just hoped that he would never leave her life, he now meant the world to her.
