Surprise Surprise

"Where are we going?" Vincent laughed as I dragged him up the stairs.

"You'll see." I winked at him.

When we made it to the empty hallway I pushed him into the first empty room I could find. The thought that I was in someone else's house didn't even occur to me. The second the door was closed and locked, I was on Vincent like white on rice. I slammed our bodies together, and despite being quite surprised, Vincent made sure our lips found each other. My hands wound their way around Vincent's head and started playing with the hair on the back of his head.

Vincent let out a guttural moan and lifted me up so I could wrap my legs around his waist. He pushed me against the wall and started kissing down my neck. I thew my head back, granting him more access. I became very aware of the fact that his kisses were limited due to our amount of clothing so it didn't take me long to pull down the top of my dress and his shirt off.

Vincent's lips were everywhere and every time he moved them from one spot to the other and he'd leave a tingling sensation wherever his lips had previously been. I was fine with this much bodily contact, but as Vincent's lips made their way to the waist line of my dress that nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach came back. I wasn't sure I was completely ready yet, but I didn't want to disappoint him again.

I unwrapped my legs from around his waist and hopped on the floor and started sliding my dress down, but Vincent stopped me.

"Rose wait. We don't have to do this. If you're not ready then I can wait. Besides I wanted to make our first time romantic. I don't want it to be in some random room at a party, so let's stop."

"Thank you." I whispered, sliding my dress back on.

We found Vincent's shirt and returned back to the party to have a little more fun before it was over.

The time seemed to be droning on as we all waited for prom. Every senior in school was anticipating that magical night, and you could just smell the love in the air. Everywhere you looked someone was being asked to prom, and rather extravagantly might I add.

Kai had asked Christie to prom with a giant box of pizza and an over the intercom announcement. Tyler asked Megan by spelling out "Prom?" with his hockey skates in our ice rink. Adam asked Kendall by bringing a boom box to her house and playing cheesy 90s songs.

We were all feeling the prom spirit and I couldn't believe how happy my life was. I had so much to look forward to. Vincent and I got accepted to a few of the same colleges, but we decided on San Diego State.

Everything in my life was amazing. I wasn't sure how things could get much better, but little did I know, they would.

I woke up that Wednesday morning in a particularly good mood. I'd always hated Wednesday, but something about today just made me feel so jovial. I had a smile on my face from the time I opened my eyes, till the time I walked into school.

"Hey." Vincent greeted me as I sat beside him.

I pecked him on the cheek and gave him a big smile. "Hey yourself."

"Oh no, here come the love birds again." Christie teased.

"You know what Christie," I started, taking my seat beside Vincent. "I'm in such a good mood, that I'm going to pretend not to have heard that."

"What's got you so chipper?" Kendall asked.

"Can't I just be in a good mood?"

"Yes, you can, but once you get to Pre-Cal you won't be so happy-go-lucky."

Vincent was completely right. Once I got into class time seemed to stop. Everything my teachers said went in one ear and out the other, and it didn't help that they gave me a shit load of homework that I wouldn't understand. Well that's just one thing that I'm not doing tonight.

Luckily, I managed to survive the day and when the final bell rang I wasted no time grabbing Vincent's hand and heading towards my car.

"So what do you want to do now that we're out of school for the day."

He laughed and ran his hand through his hair. "I don't think we'll be seeing much of each other after school for a while."

"Why's that?" I questioned, pushing open the double doors that led to the student parking lot.

Vincent pointed ahead of us toward my car and I nearly screamed. "Ryan?"

"In the flesh." He teased.

I let go of Vincent's hand and jumped into Ryan's outstretched arms. Vincent knew all about Ryan's little secret so he wasn't uncomfortable with the situation.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here for your prom."

"I thought you said you couldn't make it."

"Well Vincent and I were planning this for a long time. When you asked me to come I couldn't say yes and ruin it all."

"You planned this?" I asked, turning to Vincent.

"I knew how much it meant to you to be with your best friend that night so I used my dad's name and pulled a few strings."

I walked toward him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Did I ever tell you I had the sweetest boyfriend in the world?"

He skimmed his lips against mine. "Once or twice."

I smiled and pushed my lips against his. This wasn't like the many other passionate, fiery, kisses we'd shared. This one was light and gentle; it was sweet. There was so much emotion behind it but it wasn't banging on my insides. These butterflies that I was feeling were very calm and subtle. I enjoyed the feeling.

I pulled away from him with a torn look on my face. I wanted to spend some time with Vincent but I really wanted to hang out with Ryan. I had a lot to fill him in on.

"Go have fun. I'll be fine. I'll force Adam to ditch Kendall and come hang out with me."

"I love you."

"Love you too." Vincent gave me one last peck on the cheek before walking off towards his own car."

I turned to Ryan and a big goofy smile was on my face. "What do you want to do first."

"Well..."

*****

"Oh cheesesus how did I let you convince me to do this?"

"Come on. Its not that big of a deal. It'd just a mechanical bull. It won't bite."

"I'm not afraid of it biting me, I'm afraid of falling off and breaking my neck."

Ryan had decided, after much deliberation, that he wanted to go somewhere fun to eat and together we decided to eat at a southern style restaurant to eat at. Well you can just imagine Ryan's excitement when he saw the mechanical bull. He'd rode it twice before we even got a table. I however wanted nothing to do with the mechanical menace but somewhere in between ordering a strawberry lemonade and my second slice of cheesecake, he'd managed to get me on the bull.

Now as I sat on the bull, with the bull manager waiting for my okay, I could feel that first piece of cheesecake begging to come up.

"Look," I began, swallowing the lump that formed in my throat. "I font think I'm ready."

Ryan must have heard me wrong over the loud country music playing. "What's that? You're ready? She's ready." He gave the bull operator the okay and I felt the bull come to life.

I gripped the medal bar for dear life.  At first I thought I might have been worried for nothing. The bull wasn't going as fast as I'd imagined it would, but then the action happened. The bull started bucking and jerking and I gripped the medal bar as tight as possible so I wouldn't fall off.

I could feel myself screaming but I couldn't hear it. Everything was silent. I was pretty sure my eyes were closed to because everything was pitch black. One of my hands slipped off the bar and I could feel myself slipping off. The bull jerked backwards and my other hand slipped off as well.

I felt myself go into the air and I clamped my teeth together waiting for impact with the floor, but the plush of the air bed like thing they had on the floor stuck my landing and all I did was bounce a few times.

I opened one of my eyes and I saw Ryan looking at me, mouth wide.

"Rose that was amazing! You lasted an entire minute. That's way longer than me." Ryan laughed.

I stood up and walked toward Ryan and smacked him on the chest. "That was terrifying I'm never doing anything like that again."

"I'm sorry. Ready to go?" Ryan said, rubbing his chest where I hit him.

"I've been ready since I saw that bull." I shuddered.

Ryan and I paid for the food and were on our way back home.

"So I have a gift for you."

"What is it?" I asked.

"I'm going to treat you to a pre-prom spa. You know, to relax you."

"How sweet," I cooed, pinching his cheek.

Ryan just smiled and we sat in a comfortable silence for the remainder of the car ride. So many thoughts were tuning through my head, but there were a about one thing, prom. I looked out the window and sighed. Prom here we come."

Hello my beautiful luvies. I am sad to say that this story will be ending soon. Well not sad for me, I'm sick of this story lol. I only have 3 maybe 4 more chapters left. And that's including the epilogue. Oh and I won't be writing a sequel or a spinoff to this story like o once said I was. I just decided it would be good to leave the characters where they stand, and not ruin a possibly great story on a terrible person like Jace...

Anywhooo I'm writing a new story called Misconception. Idk when I'll post it but it will be inntge running for the next watty Awards so I hope you guys support it just like you have this story. I cherish each and every person that has read this story and you guys really font know what you mean to me. To go from having 100 reads to 180k is unbelievable. Thank you so much. I will try to post as quickly as possible. I promise. :) I love you guys and thank you again.
