Blast From The Past (C.H.A.P.T.E.R. 5)

Hahaha here we go... And the pic on the side is Vincent!!------>>>>

Vincent POV

I stared at her in shock. Was she serious? She wants to date just to see who will fall in love first? " Are you setting yourself up to fail, you crazy woman?" I finally managed to ask.

"What's the matter Vincey, afraid of a little competition?" She made a pouty lip and folded her arms and imitated a chicken motion.

I took her pouty lip as the opportunity to give her my decision. Vincent LeClaire isn't afraid of anything. My hand grasped the back of her head and I took her bottom lip in my mouth, nibbling on it slightly. She gasped and I smirked before pulling away. I made sure to peck her lips briskly a few times too.

I was satisfied because the shock on her face was very evident. Thank you element of surprise. I walked off without giving her a response.

As I walked down the hall I could feel the endless stares on my back, and their whispers weren't any more discreet. Every time they see me with someone new everyone is talking about it, so this isn't anything new.

I stopped at my locker and concentrated on putting in my combination. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and I rolled my eyes. This Rose chick was going to have to try a lot harder. I turned around and my breath caught in my throat at the sight before me.

There stood Jessica in hot little blue tank top that showed off her toned abs and hello kitty belly ring. Her long legs were shown off nicely with the mini skirt she decided to wear and her high heels just added to her height. All in all she looked like a super model, and I couldn't control the thoughts that ran through my mind.

"Miss me?" she questioned with a dazzling smile taking over her face.

I cleared my throat and looked her in the eyes. I needed to avert my attention away from her legs if I ever wanted to speak intelligently again. "I thought you were in France."

She pushed me against the locker and ran her hand down my chest. "Mm, they just don't make men like this in France."

I had to get away from her before my hard dexterity faded. I needed to keep my cool before I give in and let her have exactly what she wants. I noticed Rose turning a corner and I knew this would be my only opportunity.

I managed to push Jessica away from me, and without giving her time to protest I ran down the hall and grabbed Rose's hand.

Jessica was watching us cautiously and I knew I had to make this as believable as possible. "Hey baby!" I made sure I was speaking loud enough for Jessica to hear. "I was looking for you."

I pulled her towards Jessica and a knowing smile stretched across her cheeks.

"Jessica, let me introduce you to Rose."

"Are you Vincent's friend? It's so nice to meet you." Jessica said with a falsetto smile.

"Actually I'm Vincent's girlfriend. And you are? I'm not sure that Vincent mentioned me." Rose shot back.

"Oh I'm sure he did and you were too divulged in nothing important to pay attention."

"Sweetie, I would've remembered if Vincent told me that he was friends with a drag queen."

Jessica's smile fell and was immediately replaced with a scowl. She turned away from Rose and looked at me, seduction in her eyes. "Vincent baby, if you ever get tired of boxing with a lightweight you know exactly where to find me."

With one last glare directed at Rose, Jessica headed down the hallway swaying her hips and winking at guys as if it was a second nature, and for Jessica it was.

"I've known that girl all of 30 seconds and I already want to throw her in a trashcan. Who the heck is she?" Rose questioned angrily. She was no longer putting up the happy front and I could feel the iciness drip from her voice with each and every word.

I sighed, running my hand through my hair I ignored her question. "I'm going home."

"Vincent," She called as I made my way to the front door of the building. "As my boyfriend you're not supposed to keep secrets."

I chuckled and turned around to respond. Still walking backwards I responded, "As my girlfriend you shouldn't nag me about things that aren't you're business."

She released a frustrated groan and in fear that if I remained in the hall any longer she would chase me, I turned around and bolted through the navy blue doors.

I made it to my car in record time and I pulled out of the parking lot swiftly, and drove on the road unsure of where I was headed.

I passed a group of freshman walking to school and it brought me back to my freshmen year; back to Jessica.

It was the first day of school when I met Jessica. She was a sophomore and on the cheer leading team. I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of her as I was trying out for the weight lifting team. I may have been scrawny, but I was able to lift enough to make the team. Luckily it paid off in the end, but that's another story.

She'd been sending me subliminal looks the entire tryout, and when I passed her as I was going to the locker room she whispered to me, "Meet me in the janitor's closet in ten."

At first I tried to convince myself that she wasn't talking to me and that it was all in my mind. But as time progressed I started weighing my options. If I went and she wasn't there, then I would look like an idiot peering into the janitor's closet; but if she really was waiting for me, I couldn't just not go. She would think I was standing her up, and she could ruin what little reputation I had.

In the end I decided that I might as well go. I opened the door to the closet with shaky hands. Suddenly I was pulled in and pressed up against a wall. The closet smelled of the dank mop water that sat in the corner. Jessica was smiling sexily. Her red lipstick and jet black hair complimenting each other perfectly.

"I've been waiting to do this all day." she pressed her soft lips against mine and the rest is history.

Jessica and I spent the next two months sneaking into empty classrooms and closets as much as possible. I'd never been more enthralled in my life, and then I saw Jessica making out with some guy in the hallway. When I confronted her about it she was a complete bitch.

"Get over it." I remember her spitting venomously. "Listen, you're cute and all, and you've grown a lot since you joined the weight lifting team, but I don't do the whole boyfriend thing. Anyone with any sense would know that relationships are a load of crap. Everything that we were doing was just for fun. Geez, Vincent grow a pair already. Don't you know that the only way to be anyone in this school is to not be tied down to one thing?"

And as the mindless freshman I was, I believed her. I worked out harder and soon, my once pale skin and bones exterior was replaced with a more muscular look, and working out in the California heat gave me a tan.

I met Jace, and he was a natural at getting girls. I studied him carefully and developed my own tactics. By the time senior year came I was had girls falling at my feet left and right.

During freshman year and sophomore year, Jessica and I hooked up every once in a while, but when she was supposed to be in her senior year, she disappeared. I later found out that she took a year off of school to travel France with her mother that was a big time Designer.

Jessica opened my eyes to a lot of things. Now I didn't fall madly in love with her and then seeing her kiss another guy broke my heart to the point that I developed this putrid hate for women. Who am I Shakespeare? What Jessica did teach me is that people are shallow and easily manipulated. You can swoon any person you want if you know what they like. All you have to do is figure out what kind of person you're going after.

That's why I didn't keep a steady relationship. At first it was because Jessica said they were stupid, but I soon realized she was afraid to get hurt. Girls are too easy. The girl I fall for has to give me a challenge. That kind of explains why I'm attracted to Rose. She didn't throw herself at me the first time she saw me, and then when I asked her out she flat out said no. Plus she had the nerve to insult me. Now that I think about it, this game might be more fun than I intended...
