Island Breeze (Part 18 Mon)

My beautiful Kai POV

Now or never. She's all alone and this could be the only chance I get to tell her.

I'd been watching Christie tan all day on the beach while I worked up the courage to talk to her. I wanted to tell her how I feel because I can't keep my feelings bottled in forever.

I took a deep breath. Now or never.

        "Hey Kai!"

I jumped at the sound of Rose's voice. Christie turned to look at us and smiled. She put her sunglasses on and relaxed in her chair.

        "Shh." I quieted Rose.

"Why- Oh. I see." Rose nodded looking at Christie.

"Yes now can you please go so I can continue to prep myself?" I sighed.

Rose giggled but happily bounced away.

Here we go. I can do this.

I took a step towards Christie and I immediately wanted to take a step back. I wasn't ready for this. What if she hates me? What if she doesn't want to talk to me ever again? I can't live with that. I cherish our friendship even if she doesn't.

But I have to tell her. I don't want to see her ten years from now and she's married and she tells me she had a huge crush on me when we were in high school. I don't want to miss out on something so spectacular. If there is anyway that she could possibly feel the same about me...

Christie POV

The sun felt divine on my skin; so smooth and soft. I was having a glorious time wallowing in the sun, when a shadow was cast over me. I removed my eyes from the magazine I was reading and looked up to see what stopped my sunlight.

"Kai." I whispered as he stood in front of me.

"Hey." He mumbled, scratching the back of his head. "Um, do you want to go on a walk?."

I looked around to make sure he was talking to me. He seemed so nervous about something. I wonder what is is.

        "Sure." I replied happily.

Kai and I walked beside each other away from everyone else on the beach.

"So, do you like it here?" Kai asked, trying to start conversation.

"Yeah its nice. I would definitely move out here one day."

Kai nodded in agreement and we continued walking.

"So I know you must have some reason for dragging me away from everyone else."

Kai started rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "Um, yeah actually, I do."

He motioned for me to sit on a giant rock that sat at the bottom of a cliff.

"You know we've been friends for a while, and the last couple of years have been amazing. I think we've grown real close, but not in the way that I want us to."

        "What do you mean Kai?"

"I mean, I know it sounds crazy, but I like you. I really, really like you. I always have and I always will."

Seductress Rose POV

"Why do you have that dopey grin on your face?" Vincent asked walking towards me.

"No reason." I was still staring off in the direction that Christie and Kai appeared. He was finally going to tell her how he felt and I couldn't be more excited.

"Well come on, I have something to show you."

"A surprise? From you? This is so unexpected."

"Yeah, well I overheard you telling Kendall you wanted to do something spontaneous while you were here. So, tada!" Vincent spread his arm out and I noticed the jet skis that were parked on the beach.

"No way!" I mumbled. "Vincent I've always wanted to ride one if those! Thank you so much." I threw my arms around Vincent's neck and placed a generous kiss on his lips.

His kisses kind of felt like a formality to me. I almost forgot that our relationship was only a game. I had to give myself a constant reminder that I couldn't lose to him.

I unwrapped my arms from his neck, not wanting to take the kiss any deeper, and ran towards one of the jet skis.

"Hey, this thing is just like a snowmobile!" I stated as I climbed on and started messing around with the controls.

"Let's go!" Vincent said with amusement in his eyes.

We pushed the Jet skis in the water and took off. We continuously played in the water. We raced and chased each other. It wasn't until we realized that we were low on gas when everything got bad.

"Shit, come on Rose. The tanks are low and it's getting dark. We need to head back to the beach." Vincent stated.

"Uh, which way is the beach?" I asked, voice panic stricken.

We glanced all around us, but there was no land in sight. Our search was in vain.

"Fuck it. Let's just head straight until we see something."

I nodded and Vincent and I started riding straight.

"Hey look I see an island!" I pointed to what appeared to be an island in the distance.

Vincent and I started heading towards it. When we finally reached the shore I jumped off my jet ski and laid on the sand.

"I never realized how tired I was." I groaned, closing my eyes.

"Come on. We need to see if someone is here. Or we at least need to find some kind of shelter. Everyone will come looking for us eventually."

"Yeah you're right. They'll find us, eventually."

Eventually. That could take weeks. How would I survive here on an island ALONE with Vincent? Someone please rescue us.

I freaking love this chapter. I'm in such a writing mood that I'll definitely have another chapter up before Thanksgiving is over!

How did you feel about this chapter? Not many of you voted and commented on the last chapter and I think its because you guys don't like the idea of a chapter with just Kai and Christie. That's why I added this little bit with Rose and Vincent.

They're trapped on an island together. I wonder what mind of hot things they'll do while they're alone. *fans self*

Anywhoo, Vote!!!! Comment!!! If I don't get some of both I'll postpone the next chapter!

P.S. Sorry so ahort. I'll try and make the next chapter longer :)

NEXT UPDATE: By the end of Thanksgiving! xD
