Chapter 14

Everything's that had happened replayed on my mind afterwards as we walked back through the casino. Seth and Sara being aliens, the fact their planet was dying, a place called Witch Mountain, government men chasing us. Damn, this is a lot to take in.
However, the one thing on my mind that wouldn't change was Seth. The dreams I had about him and what Sara said to me about me being his...what was it again? Amoria.
I wondered if he thought about me a lot. I kind of doubted it. The mission the two siblings were on was very serious and didn't leave much time for, dare I say, romance. But still, a girl can dream.
I wondered if he was going to tell me...I mean, I wanted to know. And if I were in Seth's position, I would want to tell me that I was his Amoria.
Oh well, only time will tell.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Sara said, "Thank you. All of you." And I turned around to look at her with Jack and Alex.
"Seth and I understand that you don't have to go forward with us and yet you choose to." She continued.
I smiled at them, "You're welcome." I said.
"And don't worry." Alex continued for me, "We're gonna get you home. I promise."
That comment hit home for me as well. Since now...I didn't have one now that my parents were gone...but now wasn't the time to think about that.
Come on, Emily. Get your head in the game.
"I'm going to grab my stuff." Alex said to Jack, "Let's meet upstairs in the convention, at my booth then we get your cab." She began to walk off when Jack stopped her.
"Uh, Alex, uh, listen." He hesitated, "I can't let you come with us."
"What?" Alex immediately asked.
"If half of what Harlan says is true, it's way too dangerous. They got in my cab. They're my problem." Jack explained to her.
Alex disagreed, "Um, no. I have spent my entire life preparing for this moment. And now, when I have two actual aliens in need of my help, you want me to walk away?"
Jack said nothing and Seth, Sara and I simply stood and looked on.
"It's not gonna happen. Man up, soldier. I'm in." Alex said and I raised my eyebrows and smirked in an impressed way.
"Just lay low till we meet up."
"Sure. Great. Lay low. Easy. How hard could it be?" Jack said as Alex walked away again.
Jack watched her go and I looked at Sara, smirking, knowing that she knew what I was thinking.
"She thinks you're very handsome." She said to Jack who looked between her and in Alex direction.
"Really?" He said.
"And smarter than you think you are." Sara continued.
"So, she was thinking about me, huh?" Jack asked and I snickered behind my hand which made Seth smile his slight smile.
"At least as much as you were thinking about her." Sara told Jack.
"Hm." Jack said in an impressed way, "So, she didn't happen to mention in her thoughts that I was, uh-" Jack began but was cut off in some guy in an alien suit who cried "It's showtime everybody! Space Expo Number Nine. It's upstairs. Come on."
"Should we go upstairs now?" Seth asked Jack who was still standing, looking in the direction Alex walked in.
"Yeah, lets go upstairs." He said, obviously not paying attention to what Seth or he, himself was saying.
The siblings walked off with the people in costumes but Jack stayed a little longer and I turned just in time to see Seth and Sara disappear in the crowd.
"Jack." I said.
"Hey, do you think she was thinking about-"
"Jack!" I cried and he snapped to attention.
"Seth? Sara?" He called and looked at me.
"Don't look at me, this is your fault. You told them to go upstairs!" I said to him.
"Oh, no. Seth! Sara!" Jack called out again.

Without warning two big guys, bigger than Jack, came out of nowhere and grabbed us both.
"Hey!" I yelled as a big bald guy grabbed hold of me.
"Tried to warn you Jack." The bigger black guy said to him and I noticed a bandage on his nose and realized, they were the two who gave Jack trouble yesterday morning!
"Mr Wolfe doesn't take rejection well."
"And who is this pretty little lady?" The bald guy said, looking at me while keeping a tight grip on my arms, it hurt pretty bad.
"Let me go!" I cried again.
"Don't touch her." Jack said low and dangerously and tried to get out of the black man's grip but the bald man twisted my arms and I let out a cry of pain which stopped Jack in his tracks so he cooperated and walked with them.

Somewhere else in the Casino, surrounded by people in space costumes, Seth stopped in his tracks as well and bent over slightly, in pain.
"Seth? Are you alright?" Sara asked him but Seth shook his head.
"I felt pain, but it was not my own, Sara. It was Emily's." He said and Sara's eyes widened, "It's the Amoria connection between us, she is in trouble!"

"This is so not a good time." Jack said but he was punched in the gut by the black guy and let out a grunt.
"Uncle!" I cried.
"You're out of time, Jack." The bald man said to him.

Suddenly, two guys in Star Wars Clone costumes walked up to Jack and said, "Well, well, well. If it isn't the Rebel Alliance cab driver scum." One said, pointing his fake gun at him.
"Not such a tough guy out of you ship, are you, womp rat?" The second asked, "You're in our house now."

I was so confused, who the hell are these guys and what the hell are they talking about?

Without warning, Jack released himself from the black guys arms, grabbed the fake guns and hit first the black guy then the bald guy who released me and fell to the ground.
Jack punched the black guy who hadn't fallen to the ground yet then threw the fake guns back to the Storm Troopers. He turned to me, "Are you okay?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yeah I'm fine." I said, so Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me through the crowd, "Move! Move!" He called out, running with me.
