"I want to be more than just friends, Choi Soobin. I want to be your boyfriend."

What? Did Soobin hear correctly? Did Huening Kai really just ask him to be his boyfriend?

With a nervous expression, Huening Kai anxiously waited for Soobin's response, desperately hoping that he would receive a positive answer.

Fuck, what do I even say? I think I like him, but I've never dated a man before. Soobin thought.

Soobin smiled awkwardly, "...Huening Kai, I'll– I'll think about it."

That was the last thing Soobin said before hurrying into his house. It left Huening Kai feeling slightly confused.  At least he didn't say no, right?....

"Hey soobin, how was your-" Kara was cut off when she saw Soobin run to his room quickly. "Um, what the heck?" She said, confused.

Soobin was feeling overwhelmed by his thoughts. He went to his room and closed the door behind him. With a racing mind, he turned to his laptop and began searching for answers.

'How to know if you like someone.' He typed in his laptop.

He started reading the list:

You want to spend a lot of time with them.

Life feels more exciting

You think about them a lot.

You feel jealous when others hang out with them

You feel safe with them.

Soobin shut the laptop.

As Soobin finished reading the final words on the list, his heart began to race. He couldn't deny it any longer - he had feelings for Huening Kai. Although he couldn't really agree with the other words on the list. Someone else was in his mind while reading it.

Either way, if he felt safe with Huening Kai, then he must like him back right?

As he reached for his phone, a thought crossed his mind. He should definitely give Huening Kai a call. It wasn't uncommon for his heart to race at the thought of dialing his past crush's number, but for some weird reason, he felt fine and not nervous.

Soobin patiently waited for him to answer the call. And he did!

"...Hey Huening Kai?" Soobin started.

"Yeah?" Huening Kai responded, Soobin could tell he was nervous.

"A– About what you said earlier to me... I'm ready to answer you." Soobin said.

Huening Kai's body was instantly covered in goose bumps. The fear of Soobin's potential rejection consumed his thoughts, refusing to leave his mind's grasp.

"...Okay." He mumbled nervously.

Here go's nothing, "Yes, I'll be your boyfriend Huening Kai."

Huening Kai couldn't help but let out a gasp. His mouth opened as he heard the response over the phone. A whirlwind of emotions flooded through him - joy, nervousness, excitement, and a mix of everything in between. The fact that Soobin had actually said yes was the least thing he expected. "Are you serious?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement and disbelief.

"Yes, I also want you to be my boyfriend... if you still want to." Soobin said shyly.

"Of course, I still want to." Huening Kai said.

Soobin smiled when he heard Huening Kai's answer, “Okay then.” He awkwardly replied, “Bye Huening.”

After the phone call ended, Soobin collapsed onto his bed, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and confusion. He couldn't help but replay the conversation in his head, well... what's going to happen now?

I guess I should tell Kara. He thought.

As he got up from his comfortable bed, he ruffled his brown hair and made his way towards the entrance. With a gentle push, the door swung open. Going down the stairs, he saw Kara sitting on the couch watching TV.

Here goes nothing, "...Kara I have something to tell you." Soobin said nervously.

As he anxiously waited for her to reply, he found himself growing more and more confused by her silence. A nagging thought began to creep into his mind, questioning whether she had even heard his words in the first place. It was as if her attention was fully captivated by the television. Why is she so addicted to the tv?!

"Uh Kara, hello?!" He shouted.

Kara let out an exasperated sigh and hit pause on the remote control. She shot a playful glare at Soobin. "Quiet, Soobin. I'm trying to watch this movie," she said before turning her attention back to the screen.

"But I need to tell you something! It's very important." He responded.

She rolled her eyes, "What could be so much more important than my show?" She asked.

In a fit of frustration, Soobin shouted out, "I am in a relationship with Huening Kai!" And as he expected, Kara's eyes grew wide, and she immediately shifted her focus from the television to him.

"...What??" She gasped.

Soobin let out a sigh and took a seat beside her, his eyes rolling in disbelief. "Believe it or not, he actually asked me out, and now we're together,"

Still, Kara was in disbelief as she tried to process what Soobin said. "Wait, so let me get this straight. You and Hyuka are romantically dating, like how me and Yeonjun are?" She questioned

"Yes, I don't know why you're so shocked about it." he responded, his tone tinged with a hint of irritation.

He turned to look at Kara, who was smiling directly at him. Trying to ignore Kara's stupid smile directed at him, Soobin couldn't help but feel a bit awkard and embarrassed, "Could you stop staring at me like that?" He uttered, his annoyance palpable in his voice.

Kara's laughter echoed through the room as she wrapped her arms around Soobin, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, look at my adorable little brother, he's finally found love!" she teases him, her laughter still bubbling in the air.

Soobin tried to push her off, "Get off me, Kara. You're so annoying. I'm not a baby." He said.

Kara came to a sudden stop, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Oh, I'm fully aware that you're no longer a baby. But you're still my younger brother." she quipped, her laughter still filling the air. However, she couldn't contain her excitement and let out a gasp. "Yeonjun needs to know about this!" she exclaimed.

"...Yeonjun?" Soobin repeated.

Kara pulled out her phone and exclaimed, "Absolutely! He should know that you and Huening are officially together."

Soobin chuckles awkwardly, "Y– Yeah, you're right."

"Wanna hear his reaction?" She asked as she was dialing his number on her phone.

Soobin's eyes grew wide with a sense of unease, as if a wave of panic was about to overtake him. "Um, no, it's okay, I think I'll just head to bed now," he managed to say before promptly going to his room.

Kara didn't really care because she was so excited to tell Yeonjun about this. "Babe! Guess what!" she said after Yeonjun picked up the phone.

"What?" Yeonjun said in a sleepy voice.

"Soobin and Huening Kai are dating!"

"What....?"
