"Soobinnn! Why won't you get up?" Kara asked, sitting next to him on the bed.

Soobin rolled his eyes, "I am up."

She scoffed, "You know what I mean stupid."

"I don't." He replied.

Kara sighed, "Why aren't you hanging out with any of your friends? You're staying in your room 24/7."

Soobin remained silent in response to Kara's comment. He was well aware that he should be doing something way more productive than laying in his bed all day, but he couldn't. How could he?! Not when that accident happened a few days ago.

Soobin continued to scratch behind his neck, completely ignoring what Kara had said to him earlier.

"Soo, are you gonna answer me or?" Kara trailed off.

Kara let out a sigh of frustration, fully aware that Soobin's stubbornness would prevent him from telling her anything. Feeling defeated, she reluctantly got up from the comfort of his bed and made her way out of the room.

"What's up with him lately?" She said to herself, going to her room.

As she made her way to her room, her mind was stuck with finding a way to get Soobin out of his room. The only person who seemed to hold over him at the moment was none other than Huening Kai.

She gasped, "Oh my god! Huening Kai! He would definitely make Soobin go out!" She said to herself. Without wasting any time, she quickly took her phone from her pocket and dialed Huening Kai's number.

He answered! (Duh)

"Hello?" Huening Kai said.

"Huening Kai! I need your help!" She exclaimed.

Huening Kai found himself in a state of utter confusion. Why does Kara need his help? "Um, okay, what is it?"

Kara was jumping down in excitement, "Okay! I'm trying to get Soobin out of his room because he hasn't been out since literally forever. He also won't tell me why, but it's whatever, I guess. Anyways, can you try to get him out?"

"...Wait, how am I supposed to?" Huening Kai asked. He was stressing out. If he was being honest, he was scared of Kara, so the fact that she's asking for his help scares him even more, and he really doesn't wanna mess up.

"Ask him on a date." She said.

"A date?!"

Kara scoffed, "Uh yeah? Why? You don't wanna be with my brother or what? Wait! Do you have something against my brother?"

Huening Kai started to panic, "Uh– no– no, not at all! I swear. It's just that I'm too scared to." He trailed off.

Kara sighed, "Huening."

"... Yeah?" He replied

"Get your ass over here now." She said.

Huening Kai found himself standing outside Soobin and Kara's house, feeling a wave of nerves wash over him. He hesitated, debating whether or not to even knock on the door. The thought of facing Soobin and asking him on a date, date made him reconsider his decision. However, he knew he had no choice but to go through with it because Kara is scary!

As soon as he knocked on the door, it swung open, and Kara eagerly pushed him inside, "Ack! Wait, Kara, I need to take off my shoes–" He was shushed.

"Shh, be quiet, I don't want Soobin to know that you are here." Kara whispered as she tried her harder to shut the door quietly.

Huening looked at her weird, "Why?" He whispered back.

"Because I want you to suprise him." Kara whispered again.

Huening Kai nodded, "Okay but how?"

Kara started walking up the stairs, her footsteps echoing against the walls as she made her way upward. Huening Kai followed her actions as he trailed closely behind, still waiting for his question to be answered.

As they reached Soobin's room, they were both standing just outside the door. Huening Kai's expression was a mixture of confusion and anxiety, unsure what was going to happen next. He still hasn't gotten an answer. "What am I going to say or do?" He whispered.

Kara smiled at his question as she gently opened Soobin's door and pushed Huening Kai into the room.

"Kara, wait!"

Welp, it was too late now. Kara closed the door, and she left the two of them alone in the room. The silence was deafening as he looked over to see Soobin lying on the bed, his back turned towards him.

"...Soobin." Huening Kai said nervously, fidgeting with his fingers.

Soobin turned around. He looked at him with confusion, "When did you get here?"

Huening Kai began to feel a sense of anxiety creeping in as he struggled to find the right words, eventually managing to blurt out, "I– I want to take you out on a– a date." His words came out in a stutter, betraying his nervousness.

Soobin's eyes grew wider in shock upon hearing Huening Kai's words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, "A date?"

"Yes, I want to take you on an actual date, Choi Soobin." Huening Kai said, this time with more confidence.

Wait, what? An actual date? What does he mean by that? Soobin thought.

"Like an actual romantic date?" Soobin asked. He needed his clarification.

"Yes, Soobin, so are we going?"

Soobin's eyes grew wider once more, as the realization sank in. Holy shit?! Huening Kai actually likes him? "...Alright, I'll go with you, I should probably be going out anyway." he replied, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Just give me a moment to get ready." With a smile on his face, he got off his bed and went to the bathroom.

Huening Kai's face lit up with a smile as he nodded, "I'll be waiting for you downstairs," before turning to leave. However, as he reached for the bedroom door, he was surprised to find Kara standing there, having overheard their entire conversation.

"Were you listening to our conversation the whole time?" He asked.

"Maybee?" Kara said while giggling.

Huening Kai really didn't  anticipate asking Soobin out on a date today, so if he was being honest, he was unsure of where to take him. However, he thought of something really quick and  decided to take him to the aquarium.

Huening Kai couldn't help but be amazed as he gazed at the shark in the water. He couldn't contain his excitement as he exclaimed, "Wow, look at the shark!" He said

"Hyuka!" Soobin said and went to look at the stingrays. Huening Kai followed after him and in that moment that Huening Kai realized how much he truly adored Soobin.

Fuck, I like him a lot, Huening Kai thought.

While he was approaching Soobin, he received a notification on his phone.

So how's Soob?

Huening Kai
He's very happy right now

Kara
Aww, you made him happy
So cute!
Anyways have fun on your date!

Soobin found a lot of pleasure in spending time with Huening Kai. Although what was annoying was that a lingering question of whether he genuinely likes Huening Kai or not has been incessantly looping in his mind. Perhaps, deep down, Soobin truly does have feelings for Huening Kai?

As they made their way towards the doorstep, his mind was still occupied with thoughts about it. Looking at Huening Kai, a warm smile was on his face. "Bye Huening." He said and went to turn the door knob.

Just as Soobin was about to walk away, Huening suddenly called out his name, causing Soobin to stop in his tracks and turn around with a look of confusion on his face.

"What is it?" Soobin asked, tilting his head.

Huening Kai's heart raced as he nervously glanced down before mustering up the courage to meet Soobin's gaze once more. With a deep breath, he finally spoke the words that had been weighing on his mind.

"I want to be more than just friends, Choi Soobin. I want to be your boyfriend."
