Soobin stood outside the door, gently tapping on it and patiently waiting for a response. As the seconds ticked by without anyone answering, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I really hope I got the right address, Soobin thought to himself, silently praying for a positive outcome.

Giving it another try, he knocked on the door once more, but still, there was no response. Just as he was starting to lose hope and contemplate leaving, the door suddenly swung open, revealing the person he had been waiting for.

"Bin! Sorry for the wait, I was preparing." Yeonjun, apologize.

"It's okay." Soobin entered the house, following Yeonjun. "Where are your parents?"

Yeonjun turned around facing Soobin, "They went on vacation." Yeonjun sat on the couch, "Okay show me what you got."

Soobin picked up his guitar and began playing. At first, everything seemed to be going well as he strummed the strings. However, he could feel Yeonjun's gaze as he shifted a bit. Yeah, Yeonjun was looking at him so he could see what he needed help on, but... it made him feel so nervous.

He has performed in front of people many times before, including playing the guitar at the school talent show. So, why does the mere sight of Yeonjun looking at him now fill him with nerves and unease?

Soobin put the guitar down in a clumsy way. He sighed nervously without looking at Yeonjun. "Soobin, you're not good at playing the guitar." Yeonjun burst into laughter.

Upon hearing Yeonjun's comment, Soobin quickly became defensive and responded, "Yeonjun! I can do better it's just that I– I was nervous." He mumbled the last word.

Yeonjun scoffed, "Nervous? Your sister told me you performed in front of your school before. Why nervous now?"

Soobin stayed quiet. Why was he nervous, though? He couldn't even look at Yeonjun in the eyes for sake.

"Are you perhaps nervous because of me, Binnie?" Yeonjun teased, leaning to get closer to Soobin.

Soobins breath hitched, Binnie? He looked up to face him and was a little taken aback by how close their faces were. His heart was hammering. And something about Yeonjun's gaze—so unblinking, eyes huge behind the brown bangs made him feel oddly exposed.

Yeonjun couldn't resist leaning in closer. "...Yeonjun?" Soobin's voice broke the moment, Yeonjun hastily jumps back to his original position. The moment was gone, but the tension between them lingered in the air. Soobin continued to stare at him, What was that? He thought.

Yeonjun's stood in his position, staring at the ground. With his hand in a fist,  jaw clenched, and he swore under his breath.

Clearing his thoart, Yeonjun spoked, "I.... never mind, let me show you where to place your fingers correctly." Yeonjun went over to him. He stood closely behind Soobin, who was seated. As Yeonjun reached for the guitar, his fingers brushed against Soobin, causing both to freeze slightly.

"Look at the strings. Repeat after me, okay?" Yeonjun said.

"Soobin?" Yeonjun asked, trying to get his attention. Soobin halted his actions, taking a moment to process the situation. Him and Yeonjun had shared numerous physical interactions in the past, so how come this time it felt so—different?
The warmth emanating from Yeonjun's touch lingered even after their hands disconnected, leaving a burning sensation that continued to resonate within Soobin.

"... Yeah?" Fuck why am I zoning out so much?

Yeonjun chuckled, "I said to look at the strings and repeat after me."

Soobin couldn't tear his eyes away from Yeonjun. The sound of his laughter had always been familiar, but this time it held a new depth and intensity that Soobin couldn't help but be captivated by.

As he observed Yeonjun's face, a tingling warmth spread across Soobin's face, causing him to instinctively touch his own cheek. Why is my face so hot?

As Yeonjun stood beside Soobin, his hands gently grasping the younger boy's arms, Soobin's chest tightened, and his breath was ragged. It also wasn't helping when he felt Yeonjun's hot breath caressing the side of his neck.

"Okay, so this is A." Yeonjun guided his finger to the chord.

Soobin aimlessly muttered, "Uh huh." The way he's talking so... calm? Hot.

"This is B." Yeonjun continued.

"Uh huh." Soobin nodded in response, giving Yeonjun the impression that he was paying attention to what he was saying. He wasn't. In reality, his focus was completely on Yeonjun's lips. He found himself captivated by their fullness, softness, and the subtle red tint they had.

"Are you paying attention?" Yeonjun asked, breaking Soobin's stare from his lips.

"... Yeah, of course, totally."

"Then why are you staring at my mouth?" Yeonjun abruptly asked.

Soobin came to a sudden halt, his mind filled with confusion. Wait, hold up— He was staring at his mouth? "What do you mean?" Soobin asked. Why would he be staring at his mouth?

"You've been staring at my mouth this whole time while I've been guiding you. Is there something on my mouth?" Yeonjun brought his hands up to his mouth, feeling around to check if there was anything present.

Holy shit?! Was he really looking at Yeonjun's mouth the entire time without even realizing it. He couldn't believe that his gaze had been fixated on Yeonjun's lips. Feeling slightly embarrassed, he quickly averted his eyes, only to find himself looking back at Yeonjun's lips once again.

"Soobin! Is there something on my mouth? You're looking at them again."
Yeonjun's confusion was growing as he hoped fervently that there hadn't been anything on his lips while he was talking to him. The thought of such the situation was embarrassing.

"... Oh, um, there was something on your lips but– but it's gone now! So let's just get back to practing?" Soobin lied. I was staring at his lips again?

"Okay." Yeonjun agreed, focusing back on the guitar. Kind of. There was something on my lips. How embarrassing. He wanted to bury himself in a hole, yet he made the decision to push aside the embarrassing feeling. That seemed like the better option.

Just as Yeonjun was about to tell the next chord, Soobin's phone suddenly started ringing. "Sorry, Yeonjun, I gotta take this." Soobin stated.

Yeonjun's mind was filled with curiosity as he wondered about who could've been calling Soobin. As Soobin rose from his seat to leave, Yeonjun instinctively reached out and grasped his wrist, eager to know who it was, "Who is it?" he asked.

"Oh, it's Huening Kai." Soobin answered and left the room.

Yeonjun found himself in disbelief as he observed the situation before him. Out of everyone, it had to be Huening Kai, who had called Soobin. What could Huening Kai possibly want from Soobin? It seemed like every time they had the chance to spend time together, Huening Kai somehow managed to steal Soobin away, even if he wasn't physically present.

Yeonjun sat on the couch, shaking his head in disbelief as he muttered to himself, "Why is he always in the way? " The tone of his voice betrayed a hint of jealousy and resentment as he pondered the situation.

The call lasted a little too long. Soobin hoped he didn't keep Yeonjun waiting forever, though. He made his way back to the room, only to discover that Yeonjun was nowhere to be found. Puzzled, Soobin called out his name repeatedly, hoping for a response, but there wasn't a reply. Just as he was going to call him on his phone? Yeonjun finally came back.

"Hyung! There you are, I was wondering where you were–"

"What did he want?" Yeonjun abruptly asked.

"Oh, I forgot we actually had things plan together today. So if it's okay with you, I'm actually gonna start heading out." Soobin told. As he carefully placed his guitar into its protective case, he cast a glance over his shoulder towards Yeonjun. The expression on Yeonjun's face was full of the lack of disbelief.

"Is something wrong?" He asked, placing his full attention on Yeonjun.

"You're really gonna hang out with him again?"

"Uh huh, is there a problem?" Soobin tilt his head a bit.

"Why do you guys hang out so much?" Yeonjun crossed his arms.

Soobin was caught off guard by the unexpected coldness in Yeonjun's tone of voice. "... What do you mean? We are friends."

"Aren't we friends too?" Yeonjun, step closer to him.

"Of course we are. Why? Do you not think we're friends?" Soobin questioned.

Yeonjun let out a deep sigh, his response taking a little longer than usual. "It's just that every time we spend time together, you're always running off with Huening Kai." He admitted.

Soobin started to experience a sense of unease, but he had already been spending a considerable amount of time with Yeonjun. He didn't want to keep Huening waiting, especially since they had already made plans for the day. "Look, I'm sorry, but we can practice anytime we want–"

Yeonjun cut him off, "Do you think we really will, though? You spent half the time on the phone with him, and now you're just ditching me to hang out with him?" Again.

Soobin stood in silence, unable to find the right words to say. Yeonjun's current state of being upset and angry was unfamiliar to him, leaving him at a loss for how to handle the situation. "I'm sorry–" Just as he began to utter an apology, his words were abruptly interrupted yet again.

"There's never really gonna be a next time. Is there? Since Huening Kai can't seem to get a life."

Soobin couldn't believe his ears as he processed Yeonjun's words. What did he just say?

"Yeonjun, what is wrong with you?!" Soobin yelled. Yeonjun's words were so shocking to him that he couldn't wrap his head around it. He didn't have to be so rude.

Yeonjun found himself at a loss for words, unsure if he had crossed a line. Did he go too far? No, no way. He has the right to be mad at Soobin and Huening. Soobin ditched him everytime for Huening. He should be the only one who's mad.

"Why do you dislike him so much? What has he done to you?" Soobin's question was filled with both frustration and anger, as he couldn't believe that Yeonjun would display such childish behavior.

"Soobin are fucking for real? Did you not listen to anything I said?!" Yeonjun finally yelled.

Soobin stood frozen in place, his heart sinking as he gazed at Yeonjun, a completely different person. The tension between them was palpable, and Soobin knew he couldn't bear to face this situation any longer. The two individuals locked gazes for a brief moment, as if time had momentarily frozen. Breaking the look, Soobin swiftly gathered his belongings and hurriedly made his way out the door, desperate to escape the uncomfortable feeling.

As Soobin left, Yeonjun let out a heavy sigh filled with frustration, his eyes following the loud click of the front door closing. He walked back to his  room, shutting the door with a weary hand before collapsing onto the bed, feeling utterly drained and exhausted.
