Lately, Soobin has been spending a significant amount of time with Huening Kai, which has caused Yeonjun to develop a strong dislike towards this friendship.

Whenever Yeonjun asks to hang out with Soobin, he is met with disappointment as Soobin consistently responds with either, "Sorry, I'm busy," or "I have plans with Huening Kai."

"Soobin wanna hang out today?" Yeonjun asked. This was the 3rd time he asked Soobin the same question this week.

"Sorry hyung, i-" Soobin was cutoff.

"What? you're busy again?" Yeonjun asked.

Hesitantly, Soobin responded, "Yeah, I have some work I have to do. Maybe Saturday!"

Yeonjun sighed, "Okay." Call ended.

Yeonjun continued eating his noodles until his phone started ringing again. He picked it up and saw that it was Kara.

"Hello?" Yeonjun started.

"Yeonjun! Are you busy?" Kara asked.

"No, but can I come over?"

"Yes, that's what I wanted to ask you anyway. My dad is finally home from his trip. He wanted to meet you." She explained.

"Oh, okay, I'll get ready then."

After the call with Kara ended, Yeonjun walked over to the sink and placed his bowl inside. He then made his way to his room, fully aware of the importance of looking his absolute best for Kara's dad.

With determination in his eyes, he began looking through his closet, searching for the perfect outfit that would make a good impression. He picked multiple outfits, but after a while, he finally found a good one. He stood at his mirror, satisfied with his choice. Before leaving his room, he sprayed on a touch of cologne to make sure he smelled good.

"Okay, I'm ready. Bye, mom!" He yelled and left the house.

Meanwhile...

"Mom, I don't understand why I need to bring Huening Kai, I'm not even dating him!" Soobin complained.

"Watch your tone, Choi Soobin." His mom said, wiping the counter tops.

"I just don't get it. What's the point if I'm not even dating him." Soobin folded his arms across his chest, not out of any dislike towards Huening Kai, but simply because he couldn't see the necessity of his father meeting with him.

"Well, you went on a date with him. Besides, he's a new friend if yours anyway. Your dad should meet him."

"You went on a date?!" His dad said, pausing his show.

Soobin rolled his eyes, "Not even."

Ding dong

Soobin stopped what he was doing and went to the door. "Hey Huening." He greeted

"Hi Soobin." Huening blushed.

Soobin shut the door and returned to the task of washing the dishes, while Huening Kai prepared to follow him. However, his progress was halted by the sight of Soobin's father standing before him. "Are you the young man that is dating my son?" He asked. He knew that he wasn't, but he had to make sure. Sometimes Soobin could be a liar.

Huening Kai chuckled nervously, "Ha, N-no, you got it wrong, we are just friends, Mr. Choi."

"Dad, stop scaring him." Kara said and pulled Huening to the kitchen. "Sorry, he's always like that when he meets new people." She whispered.

"Oh, okay, that makes me feel better." Huening said.

Ding dong

"Oh, that's Yeonjun." Kara said. She ran to the door and opened it. "Hey Yeonjun!" She hugged him.

"Hey." He smiled, "Where's Soobin?"

"O-oh, he's with Huening Kai in the kitchen." She pointed.

Kara was softly nudged to the side as her dad gently pushed her, indicating that he wanted to have a conversation with Yeonjun. "Kara, I wanna talk to him," he told her. Understanding his intention, she nodded in agreement and stepped back, allowing Yeonjun and her dad to engage in their conversation.

"So you're my daughters boyfriend, huh?" He crossed his arms.

Yeonjun nodded, "Yes Mr. Choi, I am. My name is Choi Yeonjun." He bowed and stayed calm, showing off his confidence.

There was a brief pause as Mr. Choi maintained a thoughtful silence, his gaze fixed on Yeonjun. However, after a few moments, a warm smile spread across his face, indicating his approval. "Why don't you come inside, Yeonjun?" he kindly invited, and without hesitation, Yeonjun listened and followed him through the door.

Mr. Choi went back to sit on the couch while Kara went up to Yeonjun, "Sorry, he is always like that, but he seems to like you."

Yeonjun sighed in relief, "Okay, that's good, I was actually really scared of him." He whispered.

"Oh my god, Yeonjun. Come into the kitchen and help me." She laughed.

When Yeonjun entered the kitchen, he noticed Huening Kai and Soobin laughing together, which made him feel a little unease. However, he chose to brush off this feeling and bring his focus towards helping Kara with the kimchi

While Yeonjun was in the middle of mixing the cabbage and sauce to prepare the kimchi, he suddenly caught a glimpse of Soobin bursting into laughter.

What could have Huening Kai said that was SOOOOO funny?! He thought.

"Soobin, can you help me get the salt?" Yeonjun asked. Instantly, Soobin stopped talking to Huening Kai and went straight to Yeonjun.

"Here, hyung." He passed over the salt from the cabinet.

"Thanks."

Kara sighed, "You know you could've just asked me?"

"I know, but he just seemed closer." Yeonjun said and continued mixing the kimchi.

"I will eat well!" They all said and started digging in.

"Wow! Yummy." Soobin said.

"Cute." Yeonjun mumbled.

"What'd you say?" Kara asked.

"I– I said nothing?"

"Oh, I thought I heard you say something." She said and continued eating.

"So Huening Kai, do you wanna continue dating my son?" Mr. Choi asked.

Soobin, Yeonjun, and Huening Kai were caught off guard when Mr. Choi unexpectedly asked the question. The three of them were taken aback, causing them to choke on their water in surprise. In response to Mr. Choi's question, Huening Kai, quickly spoke up to clarify the situation, "Mr. Choi, me, and Soobin aren't dating yet. We're just simply friends."

Not yet? What does that even mean? Yeonjun thought and scoffed.

"What's wrong?" Soobin asked.

"Huh?! Oh, nothing."

Yeonjun took his water and drank it.

"You guys! We should have a double date!" Kara said excitedly.

Yeonjun almost choked on the water again and started coughing, “Kara, what do you mean?” he asked.

Kara turned to face Yeonjun, "You know, you, me, Soobin, and Huening Kai should have a double date."

"Noona, I don't really think this is necessarily." Soobin said.

"I– I agree!" Yeonjun said.

Kara gasped, "What?? Noo! Huening Kai back me up on this to why we should have a double date!"

They all faced Huening Kai, making him feel anxious, "Uh.... We could get to know more about each other and have fun?"

"Exactly!" Kara gave a high-five to Huening Kai, "Soo how about we do the date on Saturday?"

Soobin sighed, "I guess then?"
