It has been a whole week since the resolution of Soobin and Yeonjun's problem, and the impact it had on their friendship was truly remarkable. The two boys had managed to restore their bond, emerging as the best of friends. From that point forward, they were inseparable, constantly having fun together, Soobin, in particular, experienced a newfound sense of happiness, as he no longer had to fake anything. 

Beomgyu also reflected his problems for the past week. He realized how selfish he was. Even though he could never get his feelings for Kara to go away. He had to at least support her, that the best he could do. 

...

The long-awaited day of the event had finally arrived, Soobin and Kara both in their rooms getting ready.

Ring~

The doorbell ringed, "Kara, can you get that? It's Taehyun and Beomgyu!" Soobin yelled in his room.

With a heavy sigh, Kara slowly made her way out of her room and descended the stairs until she reached the front door, opening it to see Taehyun and Beomgyu.

"Hi Taehyun! Hi Beomie! I'm glad you guys could make it. Come inside. I'm almost done, and so is Soobin." She said.

Beomgyu face was a tomato. Kara looks so good. He thought.

"Beomie, you look good!" She says as she playfully ruffles his hair, causing him to blush even deeper. Meanwhile, Taehyun couldn't help but suppress his laughter as he observed Beomgyu's reaction.

"Okay, I still need to fix my makeup a bit more, so make yourselves comfortable, okay?"

"We will, thanks, noona." Taehyun said.

As she left, Taehyun hit Beomgyu softly, making him confused. "Dude."

"What? Why did you hit me?"

"You need to stop blushing and stuttering when you see noona Gyu. How are you supposed to even get her to like you if you keep acting this way?" Taehyun explained.

Beomgyu shrugged, "I don't know?! It's just that whenever I see her, my words stumble, and I get super shy."

He sits down next to Taehyun, "I don't even know what she sees in him, Hyun. I wish he could've dated someone else, not her. Maybe...Soobin?"

Taehyun shot him a weird expression, and in response, Beomgyu reciprocated with a similar look as they erupted into fits of laughter.

"I'm sorry but Soobin?" Taehyun asked as he was still laughing.

Beomgyu laughed, "It was the first person that popped up in my mind."

As their laughter continued, it eventually subsided upon the voice they heard. "What are you two laughing about?"

"Oh hey hyung, it's nothing. Just Beomgyu being dumb again." Taehyun replied.

Just as Beomgyu was about to reply to Taehyun's remark, the sound of the doorbell echoed through the room once again, interrupting their conversation. Soobin, curious to see who it was, made his way towards the entrance and swung open the door, revealing none other than Choi Yeonjun standing there.

"Who is it?" Beomgyu asked.

"It's just Yeonjun." Soobin responded dryly.

As Yeonjun entered the house, he caught sight of Soobin talking to Beomgyu and Taehyun. That's weird. Normally, Soobin would normally go up to him. But he chose to ignore it. Maybe it was because he hadn't seen the other two in a while.

"Oh Jun, you're here!" Kara ran and gave him a big hug.

"Of course I'm here, Kara." He hugged back.

Soobin averted his gaze to the couple  but couldn't help but steal a quick glance at Beomgyu also, who wore a pout on his face, furrowed his brows, and kept his gaze fixed downwards.

It caused him a bit of pain to witness Beomgyu feeling dejected. He was well aware of just how deeply Beomgyu had harbored feelings for his older sister, and it had been an enduring sentiment for an extended period of time. In fact, it had persisted since their sophomore year.

Soon after, the couple pulled away, "Okay, let's get going!" Kara said in excitement.

In the car...

Beomgyu couldn't shake off the overwhelming discomfort that settled within him as he observed the excessive displays of affection Kara directed towards Yeonjun.

Beomgyu couldn't help but wonder why Kara was displaying such touchy behavior towards him when she had never acted this way with her past boyfriends. The question kept replaying in his mind, leaving him curious and somewhat perplexed.

As the car came to a halt at the red light, Beomgyu's attention was immediately drawn towards Kara and Yeonjun, who were sitting next to each other. He couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy as he noticed them holding hands, a sight that stirred up some unwanted emotions within him.

It's too hard not to be jealous, but he has to support Kara and Yeonjun no matter what.

However, his curiosity was piqued when he observed Yeonjun's gaze shifting towards Soobin through the car's rear-view mirror. This unexpected behavior left Beomgyu feeling a mixture of confusion and intrigue.

As he shifted his gaze, he noticed Soobin in a state of serene slumber. Following suit, he rested his own head on Taehyun's shoulder and swiftly drifted off into a deep sleep.

Time skip

After a long car ride, they finally arrived at the wedding venue. Yeonjun parked their car, and they eagerly stepped out, ready to join in the joyous celebration. As they entered the building, a wave of awe washed over Soobin, Beomgyu, and Taehyun. They didn't expect the place to be that big, leaving them speechless. The venue emanated an air of luxury and beauty that simply took their breath away.

"Pretty right?" Yeonjun asked Soobin, and he nodded, still looking at the beauty.

"Hi, hyung! I'm so happy you came!" A random said.

Yeonjun turned around facing the male, "Of course I came, Niki! Where are the rest?"

"They are practicing right now. By the way, who are these people you brought?" Niki asked, looking at all of them.

"Oh well, this is my girlfriend. Remember I told you about her." Yeonjun said, grabbing Kara.

"Oh hi, I'm Kara." She bowed.

"Hi, I'm Soobin, Kara's brother."

"Hi Niki! I'm Beomgyu!" Beomgyu smiled.

"And I'm Taehyun."

"Nice to meet you all, but hyung, I gotta get going. We're gonna play the songs in a bit." Niki said.

"Okay then, do good. Fighting!" Yeonjun said, hyping up his brother.

They collectively decided to head out together in search of some delicious food and then gathered around a table to comfortably enjoy their meal.

"Yeonjun, I'm excited to see your brother perform. I also can't wait to see Heeseung!" Kara said.

"Is he your bias or something?" Soobin asked, and Kara nodded.

"Jungwon is my bias." Taehyun said.

"Personally, Sunghoon is better." Soobin said.

"Oo look, they are getting ready!" Kara said.

The MC decided to check the microphone to ensure that it was functioning properly before beginning their speech.

"I hope everybody is having a good time right now, especially the husband and wife!" People started to cheer.

"But it is time for Enhypens performance! Feel free to go onto the dance floor and have a great time! Now it's time for the ones and only ENHYPEN!!" The MC said everybody started cheering even more.

As the music began to blare from the speakers, the crowd eagerly made their way towards the dance floor, their excitement palpable in the air. Kara, Taehyun, and Beomgyu's favorite singers center stage and began their electrifying performance. For them, it was as if they had stepped into a surreal dream, their hearts pounding with pure joy.

While everyone around them was joyfully dancing and enjoying themselves, Soobin and Yeonjun opted to remain seated on the chairs, observing the lively atmosphere and the enjoyment of others.

As Kara gracefully moved to the rhythm on the dance floor, a weird man approached her, requesting a dance and a drink. Despite her polite refusal, the weird stranger refused to take no for an answer. Meanwhile, Soobin scanned the bustling crowd, his eyes landing on Kara and the unfamiliar man. Instantly, he stood up.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Yeonjun asked.

"There's a guy with Kara. She looks like she needs help." Soobin said, and with that, he left Yeonjun to go to his sister.

Yeonjun sat there, looking at Soobin the whole time.

When the stranger attempted to place his hands on Kara's waist, Soobin swiftly intervened, gripping his wrist with great force. "Bro, she said no."

The stranger looked at him with a smirk, "What are you? Her boyfriend?"

Soobin let go of his hand, "No, I'm her brother. Now leave her alone. Are you drunk or something?" 

"Soobin, don't make a scene. Okay, let's just leave." Kara said.

With that, Soobin and Kara decided to leave that particular area of the dance floor in search of Taehyun and Beomgyu. However, just as they were about to proceed, the man approached Soobin, catching him off guard.

"Dude, did you not hear me? I said leave us alone!" Soobin said this time a little louder, causing some people to have attention on them.

The man let out a hearty laugh and flexed his fingers,making them crack as he prepared to strike a blow towards Soobin. In that intense moment, Kara's breath hitched in her throat, taken aback by the danger. Soobin, overwhelmed by panic, instinctively shut his eyes tightly, his mind racing with fear and uncertainty.

As Soobin prepared himself for the impact of the punch, he braced for the pain, but to his surprise, it never came. With bated breath, he cautiously opened his eyes, only to witness Yeonjun positioned before him, firmly gripping the man's wrist.

"Yeonjun?"
