Benny and I sat on the bench waiting for Ethan's 'amazing arrival', whatever that meant.

"In the spirit of non-competition, I pledge to be a non-partisan referee for tonight's match, so, uh.. well, may every man win, or, uh... at least survive." Ethan was so gonna die.

"Representing Conway Collegiate, we have Kurt "The Hurt" Lochner." Everyone screamed and cheered.

Benny slightly hit my shoulder "Watch this"

"And representing White Chapel High we-" Mr G was cut off by Benny taking the mic out of his hands. "From a land of fear and nightmares comes a warrior born to destroy. He speaks only violence. He knows only hatred. His headlock is a crime against humanity! Behold... the Ethanator!" Everyone booed as Ethan ran in with Rory carrying sparklers behind him.

Rory sat down beside me looking sad, either for himself or Ethan. "You did good Ror"

"He's so gonna die" Rory groaned, his head leaning on my shoulder

"Okay, guys, if we can get you to... to shake hands here, that'd be nice" Mr G said and the two boys shook hands, Ethan winced at his tight grip. Suddenly, Rory perked up off my shoulder.

"Do your catchphrase! Do it!" He shouted

"Prepare to be Ethanized!" Oh dear lord save this poor boy.

Kurt pulled an apple from behind his back and squeezed it in his hand, smashing it effortlessly. "You're not gonna like these apples''

My mouth widened in fear and Ethan turned round with the same expression on his face "Even his catchphrase is better!"

The whistle was then blown and the match had dreadfully begun.

"All right, Kurt, get ready to-" Ethan was cut off by Kurt flipping him over to the ground. I shook my head in defeat as Benny took out his camera to film

"Ah, this won't end well" Rory mumbled"

"Definitely won't" I agreed

Kurt was most definitely winning, throwing Ethan any chance he got. When it finally ended, Kurt grabbed Ethan and carried him towards us. "There's your friend. I'll see you in round two dorks"

We all glared at him as he dropped Ethan at our feet, my eyes turned yellow as he turned around,

"'Low!" Rory whisper-shouted as his hand covered my eyes to prevent anyone from seeing.

"Take a seat dude" Benny mumbled helping Ethan onto the bench

"You survived a whole round without him breaking your spine in half. Nice!" Rory cheered

'Nothing to say Wills? Usually you do" Ethan sighed

"Nothing except I told you so" I mocked, Rory grabbed my hand suddenly. He knew I hated Kurt, that anger just projected onto Ethan. "Sorry E, but seriously I did warn you"

"Yeah sorry, dude, but for a guy in agony, you make some hilarious faces."

"Ethan, are you insane!? You don't know what you're up against. This guy is unstoppable!" Sarah called out, running up to us.

Ethan scoffed, his eyes softening in sadness, "Guess that's why you like him"

"You. Like Kurt?" I cringed "Ew."

"What? I don't like him!?"

"Come on. I saw you watching him, talking, laughing, knoodling!"

"Mad knoodling!" Benny added

"Noodle what?" I questioned

"Look, I thought Erica turned him, so I was watching him. I even checked his neck for bite marks... which was hard since he's so ticklish but I do not like him"

Ethan then started speaking to thin air, obviously Coach had now shown up for a 'motivation speech'.

"I have to pin him? Impossible."

'How about some magic? Let's see how well he wrestles with worms in his ears huh?" Benny chuckled to himself

"No magic, we can't cheat" Ethan added

"Think of something then. Everybody has a weakness right? Just find it and exploit it, simple." Sarah suggested

Ethan was pulled up from the bench for some sort of 'pep talk' which led to him falling to the ground and gasping in pain "Just please stop. Leave me alone."

"Looks like he's practicing new ways to beg for mercy. Smart!" I couldn't help but giggle slightly at Rory's words

"It's no use. I can't win. I've never won a fight. Ever!"

I perked up to this newly-found story "Not true. Remember that time in grade two when I took your Pokemon lunchbox? You whipped me good. I almost cried." Benny croaked

"You probably did cry" I added

"He did" Rory laughed

"Grade two... that gives me an idea. Thanks Benny."

The second round had quickly started and Ethan crawled through Kurt's legs within the first few seconds.

"Let go of me. Dude are you.. are you hugging me?" Kurt groaned

"I'm wrestling old school. Oakwood Elementary, to be exact!" Ethan yelled.

Benny gasped "The snuggy bear hug! He's got it locked on. There's no escape!"

"Hugging is not cool. Let go!" Kurt screamed

"Fine! Time to go for the jugular." Ethan threw Kurt on his back to straddle him and tickle his neck, "And somebody told me you were ticklish"

Kurt let out high pitched giggles, he was fully embarrassing himself at this point. "Stop tickling me! Stop! Stop!"

Mr G blew the whistle, ending the tournament. "He who laughs last loses!" Ethan finished.

We all jumped, throwing our hands up in the air to cheer. "Our new... champion!" Benny and Sarah high fived in front of Rory and I as we cheered.

"I did it.. I did it! It's the curtain for Kurt "The Hurt" Lochner!" Ethan cheered as Mr G handed him the trophy,

"Well done Ethan. But remember, it's not about winning, right?" Ethan nodded before running over to us in excitement.

"Yes! Way to go E!" Benny cheered. Ethan laughed with us for a while until Coach made a comment which left his jaw dropped. "He's backing out of our deal!"

"What?" We all yelled

"He can't. A supernatural pact is binding in all dimensions!" Benny shook his head.

"Hey, you know what? I will not be beaten by a geek!" Kurt screamed, ripping his shirt open, what is he, The Hulk? Thor's better.

Just as he was about to pass me, Sarah stuck her arm out, punching his stomach and I kicked my leg out, putting him in his place, the floor.

"Update.. you got beaten by a geek and two girls" She laughed

"Go get yourself a new shirt Mr.Giggles" I added high fiving Sarah

Rory's jaw dropped as he looked at the two of us and Ethan shook his head. "Thanks but... I could've taken him"

"That was awesome!" Rory cheered, high fiving me

"So, uh... about Saturday night.." Ethan stuttered

"Oh, that. I thought if Kurt was a vampire, I'd need backup to take him down, but we're all good now."

"Right. Yeah. Good. Good. I thought it was something like that" Ethan mumbled, "But if we're not catching vampires maybe.. we could go catch a movie?"

I smiled hitting Benny's arm "He finally did it, you owe me five bucks and a chocolate bar" I whispered to him

Ethan and Sarah's movie date turned out to be one with the whole group. Funny, but unfortunate for Sarah. I sat on the couch in-between Benny and Rory with Jane laying on top of us. Sarah and Ethan sat next to each other, obviously, and Erica was on a date...with Kurt.

Every other scene, Benny and Rory would jump closer to me out of fear making Jane and I roll our eyes. "You gotta admit, watching Skull Stealers III beats having to shake and stake a vamp any day" Ethan chuckled awkwardly, making Sarah sigh, "Just slightly" she smiled.

Another jump scare appeared and just like before, Benny and Rory jumped closer to me.

"Jesus Christ, a girl needs to breathe!" I groaned, pushing the two away. Benny scooted away but Rory leaned his head onto my shoulder and it stayed like that until the end of the film when both Jane and Rory had fallen asleep.

"We'll take Jane up," Ethan whispered. He and Benny both carried Jane upstairs whilst Sarah put away all of the candy wrappers.

"Ror, we gotta go" I nudged his side

"What?" He whined, mid-yawn.

"Film's over" I laughed

"Ok let's go," he smiled. For once, a day that doesn't end in complete chaos. Well except for Kurt.
