I had my head down mindlessly listening to music, heading for my locker when I was sprayed with cologne, putting me into a coughing fit. "What the hell is that?" I asked through the coughs, pulling out my headphones.

"This? Harmonia. It's musk. Supposed to tap into a woman's primal nature." Ethan smiled and nodded at Benny

"Definitely manly" Benny breathed out

"Yeah like wrestling team laundry bag manly" I scoffed as Sarah walked into the hall.

"Okay here goes. Just worried she'll laugh in my face" He clearly cared about her a lot, I saw it in him the day they first met.

"Probably will when you're smelling like that" Benny laughed

"If anything she'll pass out but not in a good way"

"It gives you one less thing to worry about right?" Benny cringed "Joking?"

"I wasn't"

I spent my morning on the field studying for a test until the first bell rang. I had English with Miss Fine, the least liked teacher in the whole school. Luckily, Rory was in that class so I wouldn't be alone. Benny was in there too but we barely spoke in that class.

I was reading the assigned book, which was horrible and factually inaccurate, considering I was alive at that time, when I saw a girl passing notes to Benny. They had hearts all over them. Since when did she like, let alone love, Benny? Along with this, a knock on the door, Erica. She was smiling at Benny in a weird way which made him smile back. She kissed the door and my entire skeletal structure shivered, was she having a crisis and suddenly liked men again?

I leant over to Rory's desk, "What the hell is happening?" I whispered, he shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Uh excuse me. Miss Fine? Could I go to the bathroom?" Benny asked, what was he up to?

"No" she replied, no emotion.

"Ok" Benny looked sadly at Erica, making her walk away, finally.

All of a sudden almost every girl in class was passing love notes to Benny. Was this some sort of joke?

"Some of you have very elegant, well thought out papers." I see Rory be handed his paper with a B+ written on it, "Well done!" I whispered

"However" she continued, "there are exceptions to the rule and I would like to talk about this paper in particular" Miss Fine said stopping at Benny's desk with a paper that had D marked in the top corner.

Just then as if to save Benny from getting a lecture, a delivery guy walks in with flowers and sweets on a cart.

"sHug and kisses from the cheerleading squad! Nice!" Benny exclaimed, reading the note attached to one of the batch of flowers.

"Rory what the hell is going on? Why is everyone in love with Benny all of a sudden?" I whisper-shouted trying not to offend his 'lovers' behind me.

"I don't know. You aren't in love with him are you?" Rory asked

"Ew no!" I replied and it was true, I didn't like Benny that place was saved for someone else.

"Well here's my gift to you" Miss Fine threw down his paper, "Next time try reading Pride and Prejudice. You'd be amazed how much you don't have to make up like the part about aliens! I may have to assign you a study partner!"

Every girl in the room gasped and put their hands up, shouting pick me, it was pathetic and quite honestly terrifying. Saved by the bell, literally, Benny was able to escape from the classroom away from the herd of girls.

"Rory, we need to find Ethan now! Any clue what class he had?"

"Maths, or free period, no clue"

"Ethan!" Rory shouted, "Hey uh, since when were Benny and Erica-'"

"Oo McCutie alert!" They squealed, pushing us out of the way. "Hi Ethan! We made these ourselves!" The girls handed him cupcakes and a chocolate rose.

"Thanks! Wow. Isn't Valentine's Day still a few months away?" He asked

"Oh yeah well we didn't want to be late ya know? Ok bye Ethan!" As they got further, the louder they got about how cute he was.

"You guys are on fire today" Rory exclaimed, mouth full of cupcake.

I saw Rory later, amazed by all of the girls following Benny and Ethan around the school.

"Hey Rory" I announced, trying not to interrupt the conversation he was having.

"Hello?" a voice emerged from his phone

"Hey Benny's Grandma? This is Benny's friend, Rory."

"Hi Rory! How's it hanging bro?"

"Good? It's hanging good? I was wondering do you have any more of that magic potion left?" My ears immediately perked up in shock.

"Magic- What magic potion dear?" Clearly, Grandma had the same thought.

"You know the one you gave the guys to make all the girls in school fall in love with them?"

"No sorry dear" she clearly did but there was no point trying to explain it so quickly.

"They had a potion?" I needed to double-check before I went to find them.

"Yeah why?"

"I am gonna kill them! I am so glad I was outside when they used it!"

"Me too" Rory mumbled, I tried to hide my smile.

"What?"

"Nothing!" he exclaimed unaware I heard exactly what he said

"Do you know where they are?"

"Yeah, grab on!" Rory held out his hand before speeding off to the common room. I slammed my hands down on the table they were sat at.

"What. The hell. Did you do!?" I exclaimed

"We- wait how have you not been affected?" Benny asked

"I was outside at the time thank god, now if you don't fix this I will kill you before your 'lovers' do!" I shouted

"Why would they hurt us?! They love us!" Ethan yelled back in defense

"You'll see" I walked off

"Yeah you'll see" Rory repeated before he ran after me

"Wait what will they see?" he asked

"Ages ago, Benny's Grandma told me about the love potion incase Benny ever tried to use it or mentioned it. The spell isn't all what it's cracked up to be, eventually when the spell falters the people under the spell will hate them and try to kill them so so they love you for five hours, then they'll will hate you for five until the spell wears off"

"Well they're screwed, Sarah and Erica are vamps and two of the girls I saw are part of the martial arts club"

"It's their fault to be honest, should've read the side effects"

"Well, if we're waiting for them to be hated, do you wanna come round and play my new video game in the meantime?"

"Uh, course. Then when they realise the bad side, we can go see the disaster they've made" We chuckled

"How are you so good?" I laughed

"I had a lot of time on my hands before I became a Lord of the Night"

My phone started to ring, "Who's that?" he asked

"Grandma, of course"

"Hey Grandma you ok?" I spoke into the phone, sure she wasn't my Grandma but she treated us all like family.

"Yes dear but the boys aren't. They're being attacked so if you want you can help but if not can you go there and wait until morning to make sure they stay breathing?"

"I'll go there now"

"Have fun" she laughed

"Will do" As much as she was considered old, her personality definitely wasn't.

"Come on Ror we gotta go 'save' the guys"

"Okay but how?"

'Well it's your lucky day my friend we have to take down the girls attacking them but only after they make Ethan and Benny suffer for what they did ovbiously"

"Why do you want them to suffer?"

"Cause they used a love potion to manipulate someone's feelings, which is pointless. If you like someone, you tell them or keep it a secret not practically force them to like you back"

"Yeah" Rory frowned. I wondered what was wrong but I'll ask later.

"Plus the fact Erica doesn't like men-" I cut myself off "Crap, wasn't supposed to tell that to anyone."

"I guessed. I think she likes your cousin, is Mae her name?"

"Yeah it is, I thought the same"

"Great minds think alike" he winked

I ended up staying over at Rory's that night, we ever so often checked in on the guys to make sure they were still alive but eventually the spell wore off and they fell asleep on a chair, Ethan in Benny's lap.

Rory was still asleep by the time we said we'd check on the guys, "Hey Ror!"

"Mm, yeah I'm up!" Weirdly, he sat up straight and was wide awake.

"Right well get changed and I'll meet you outside" I laughed

"What do you think we should do?" Sarah questioned

"Kill them" Erica deadpanned, they were joking obviously but it was still funny to see their reactions.

"This is gonna be hilarious" Rory whispered as we sat on Ethan's roof watching this scene play out.

"I thought you said the spell would've worn off by now!" Benny exclaimed

"It did! Now we're just mad at you!" Sarah yelled back

"Guys look, we are really, really sorry!" Benny pleaded and Ethan nodded in agreement

"Well you should be cause look what FedEx just dropped off" Erica said as Sarah held up the key

"I get it, you guys wanna punish us totally!" Ethan said nervously

"Not them lover boys. Me." Grandma smiled appearing from behind the both of them

Rory let out a laugh from the roof making the boys turn their heads up.

"Guys?" Ethan shouted out

"It's called karma!" I yelled back

"Ha, they're making them do chores for them now!" he continued laughing

"Yeah, karma's a bitch." I started, "Also Rory why did you need more of the potion?"

"What?"

"Well you asked Grandma if she had any more. Why?"

"Oh. Um, I like someone and I wanted them to like me"

"Well whoever it is you don't need a spell to make them like you, you're perfect as it is" I smiled, "Now, come on let's go watch the boys suffer"
